This was once a flourishing spot for vegans to go to for packed lunches and was a great option in the midst of such a desolate area that has very few vegan options as it is. Since the transition to their new management, they've been gradually removing vegan to-go foods. Often times I'll find only one or two options at most, usually from Sunneen - so not made in their kitchen, and often tiny salads. It's such a bummer that they aren't as creative anymore with their lunch, and leave out vegans when there are so many of us locally. Sometimes I'll even find a soup they made that could have easily been vegan, but contains honey, or another single animal ingredient. Despite all this, I do appreciate the effort they are making in expanding their produce section to be more versatile, as well as keeping their vegan cheese/tofu cooler intact. I'm so close to the co-op, so I do go there at least once a week, but I would go so much more often if they had more vegan options.

This is the best place for organic produce. I make special trips here, near where I first lived, in order to get high quality food. There is nothing to compare anywhere else in Ulster county.

This natural food store is a coop and serves a valued function in this community. It is small and has a limited stock. Many things can be bought in bulk which can save a lot of money.

Love all the healthy options. My vegan daughter loves the Tofu Curry sandwich on Bread Alone bread. My vegetarian sister and brother in law are converts as well. They purchased their lunches here every day they were visiting. Love the bulk options. We now get our tea here. Great fresh ricotta and local cheeses.

This is like a curiosity shop of food and snacks. They also have freshly prepared hot dishes ready to go. All the prices were reasonable. There is a fair representation of vegan options here. They also have a great selection of teas, spices, and herbs in the back. Mildly unsanitary in some ways.

How can you not love the coop?Be sure to check out the little side room full of bulk maple syrups, peanut butter, olive oils, etc.It's a go-to for organic and specialty items. It has a more limited selection,but the quality of their products us all top notch. A lot also seems to be sourced locally.

Great place to buy expired meat! Bought some bacon and when I got home it was over a month expired. Hooray! Otherwise this place is great. I’d stick to dry goods, some produce and ice cream.

It has been a while since I've stopped in at the food Co-OP, because I became quite disappointed about the food in the deli dept, but just the other day one of my friends stopped in and grabbed a hickory smoked chicken wrap, the way she sounded while eating it peaked my interested very much....lol, she kept saying, "this is so good, omg!" So I decided to stop in yesterday, after not going for over a year. First of all, I became so excited because there was soooooo much variety of things to choose from, something that was lacking. I finally decided on a chicken parmesan wrap, DELICIOUS is an understatement. It was juicy, flavorful, tasty and very filling. Without a doubt I knew that there must've been some new changes in the deli. Whoever is now cooking and preparing in the deli, have received my stamp of approval and restored my joy has made me a supported customer once again. I will be trying more things now that I have quite the variety to choose from. I will be spreading the news about the food here, for sure. Thank you.

If you are well to do, but make great effort not to appear that way; this is for you.Yes they carry a lot for a little store and yes a lot of it is understandably so costly because it costs more to grow it, make it etc... but there are also items that are just completely over the top to such a degree that it borders insult.I go there with my delightful hippy neighbor while he shops & always chuckle to myself about how earthy & friendly it claims to be, yet there is almost always someone sullen, dismissive and socially awkward at the register.The co-op sharing thing is great though and it's nice to have something like that among the local redneckery.

Great little community coop offering all sorts of local products, organic vegetables, vegetarian and vegan options, and bulk products. They even sell Dr. Bronner's soaps by the ounce!A bit on the pricy side, but the only place I know of locally to get vegan jerky!

They do all research to figure out what food is healthy and what comes from socially responsible organizations so you don't have to. They only stock what they believe in. Too bad they don't have the space to keep greater inventory on hand, they often run out of things.
