This Walgreens on South Orange the bay road is, perhaps the worst Pharmacy I’ve ever visited in my entire life. It saving grace is the main store itself but the pharmacy is the absolute worst. They lose prescriptions. They never filled them on time and trying to get them on the phone is an absolute impossibility. Don’t even get me started on the drive-through. You’ll be online for 45 minutes. No exaggeration. Now recently I understand there’s a new pharmacy manager and hopefully things will get better but the old one I won’t mention her name was nice enough, but she was just a horrible manager.

I went in 20 minutes before they’re closing and asked the receptionist for my prescription. After I gave her my personal information, she walked toward to the pharmacist who’s too busy with her phone on that Facebook home page. She then told the man, who just came back from cleaning the garbage to prepare the pills for me. And I didn’t see he washed his hands right after cleaning the garbage or before counting the pills for me. Once he’s done, he handed the bottle to the pharmacist who’s still too busy with her phone the whole time then she just took out a pill and made a quick look( so I hope she did confirm that’s the right pills). She then handed it to the receptionist, went right back to her phone immediately. And the receptionist was Looking at her phone the whole time when she’s walking to me, it’s like 5 steps away but she couldn’t leave her eyes off the phone. WOA, I feel like I was in a cell phone store and everyone of them are testing on their phones. Totally disrespectful and unprofessional! Now I am just worried if I am getting the right medication. Horrible experience ever!!!

If I could give NO STARS, I WOULD. This store has to be the worst Walgreens around. ZERO customer service in the PHARMACY. I stopped going there years ago. My daughter came home from RI & needed to get a prescription filled. I waited over 45 minutes for someone to pick up. It didn't happen. I drove to the store & there were three pharmacists working while the phone was ringing off the hook. I have to say, the reason we pursued Walgreens is because Good Rx showed they offered a $18.24 with their coupon for this $177 script at Walgreens. It is a no brainer. Everyone does this now. Why should we pay outrageous costs when you have Good Rx & Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Rx around.None of the pharmacists picked up the ringing phone & allowed it to just ring and ring. I explained why i needed to speak with the pharmacist. The pharmacist listened and helped to get the script to be dispensed up in RI. Thank you, end of service needed.I later called back & waited 35 minutes while they said there were three callers ahead of me, then two, then me. I was disconnected. I am at my desk and working while waiting so now big deal. I redialed and again waited another 35 minutes and disconnected.I called the Walgreens in RI and they picked up on the third ring & confirmed the script was there after searching her personal information. The Script was sent with some wrong information making it almost impossible to find. They simply avoid answering their phone. Close up shop or hire someone to help out.

UPDATE: It's now been 55 minutes and I'm still on hold.This is by far the worst pharmacy experience you will ever have. Need to call to speak with the pharmacist? Leave yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour to stay on hold. As I write this, I am on hold and have been for exactly 32 minutes. Still says there's one person ahead of me. And this is every time I call. Sometimes, I give up and drive to the store and wait in the long line just to ask my question -- and most of the time they don't have an answer. Are they understaffed? Maybe. Are they poorly trained? Possibly. But this place is the absolute worst.

Negative experience, almost every time. Never pick up the phone or need to wait more than an hour if lucky to get the phone through. When I go to pickup refills, always long line. If I go earlier in the morning or early afternoon when no patient in line or if any, very few, like one or two, they refuse to fill the meds when you there, and ask patient to come back later. Always claiming they are busy - but who is not? The culture there how to treat patient is just not right there from the top (manager), as healthcare professionals, no empathy for elderly and patients and just keep them waiting and coming back more than twice just to get for one refill. The store itself has much better customer service, definitely not the pharmacy dept. I've been some other pharmacies not that good, but this hit the bottom - not worth to keep my family's meds here. Time to switch to another pharmacy in the area.

My son went to pick up his medication. United healthcare has a CIN NUMBER ON THE CARD because they changed to NYRX nobody new how to put the CIN number in until we had to tell the gentleman how to bill correctly that worked there. Needless to say he was extremely rude and started yelling at us at the window through the driveway. Unprofessional staff!! Wish I would have gotten his name he definitely needed anger management went on 4/19/23 they should look up his name if they care about there pharmacy department

Walgreens closes for break at 1:30pm to 2pm. I was waiting behind a car at the drive up window for over 10 minutes. I drove around to entrance and went in the store. Pharmacy staff refused to wait on me as break time was rapidly approaching. I explained I was behind the car that was still at the window for 10 minutes. Regardless, the Pharmacy staff still refused to wait on me and was rude when speaking to me.

I can't leave 0 stars. Worst pharmacy ever! This place should be closed and condemned and every employee should lose their jobs. From the top manager Jennifer to the team lead Amy and the pharmacists Vani and Shree. They misinform you, lie, 6 months and never have my prescription in. 9 months pregnant called, wait on hold 3 hours to be hung up on. Then drive to pharmacy and waiting for an hour and a half for my prescription no medication for tomorrow and they have no resolution. They say they will have prescription in tomorrow morning then find out they have no delivery tomorrow. So screw the customer and her prescriptions and the customers time to have no resolution. These people couldn't get themselves out of a wet paper bag if their life depended on it and I'd be afraid to have the 4 of them try to run a hot dog stand! They wouldn't know how to put it on the bun! This place is AWEFUL! WORLDS WORST! STAY AWAY!

This is the worsy pharmacy i have ever seen. they deserve zero stars but one is the minimum you can post. they take long for prescription. my doctor sent over medicine many times and it wasn't entered in their system. finally, they found out that it wasnt ready and told me to come back after 1 hour. afterwards, they found the perscription and told me to wait 10 more minutes. after that time, they told me to go in and wait in the line which was incredibly long. after 3 hours, i finally got my medication. after this horrible experience, im not coming back again.

They never sent my covid testing kit to the lab! Checked Aegis and Labcorp and they never received my kit! $130 down the drain. This pharmacy is a Scam! Do NOT do covid testing here if you need your result in within 3 days because most likely you will NOT receive it!

The worst Pharmacy experience i have ever had (65 years old). They deserve zero stars but one is the minimum you can post. They are almost impossible to reach on the phone - not worth waiting 20 minutes to be disconnected, might as well just drive over to try and get your question answered. In person the pharmacists are rude and careless (one of my prescriptions was lost). There is no communication if a problem is encountered filling a prescription, you have to chase after them (in person) to find out why a script was not filled. Started using this pharmacy a few months ago when my insurance changed and I haven't switched yet because the location is convenient and the second closest Walgreen's has terrible on line reviews as well. Will look for new insurance next year hopefully no serious medical conditions this year when I really need a pharmacy.

I would leave 0 starts. Absolutely lied to me saying my insurance does not cover Covid testing. Informed her that it was never a problem before and the government did away with free testing. Told her I had insurance. Oh and waited 45 minutes in line. Will be reporting them to corporate.

I now know why this Pharmacy has the worst rating in America, Website states this pharmacy closes at 12am on Saturday, But the local store decides to close at 6pm. Got there at 6pm(by chance), and the Pharmacist would not serve me. Smiled at me through the drive up window and grabbed her purse and walked away. But then again, even when they are open its like a half hour wait when there is 2 cars in line. GARBAGE WALGREENS, Maybe its time to move to Amazon Pharmacy Services.!!!!!!

Walgreens pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to! (0 stars)But Marisa the Floor Manager is incredible! (5 stars for her patience and assistance)My doctor sent a prescription to the Walgreens pharmacy to be filled and then I get a call from Walgreens 2 hours later saying that my insurance isn't accepted there. The pharmacist tells me to call CVS so they can call Walgreens back and get the prescription from them.A couple of minutes later the CVS pharmacist calls back saying that he has tried to get in contact with Walgreens but no one would pick up the phone. i tried calling myself and I ran into the same issue. I wait 30 minutes! and finally someone responds. As soon as I get a hold of someone the person hangs up on me!I go to Walgreens in person (Mind you I go there with the chills and a cold) to see if they can give me the paperwork so I can drive it to CVS myself. The Walgreens pharmacist tells me she can't give the paperwork to me. the only way is for the CVS pharmacist to get it over the phone himself.I explain to her that the CVS pharmacist and I have both tried to call many times and cant get anyone to pick up the phone. so finally I get the CVS guy over the phone myself and tell the pharmacist that i have him on the line and if she could please speak to him now. The pharmacist from CVS is furious himself and tells the Walgreens lady that the way they are treating me is not only illegal but just poor practice. she still refuses to take the phone so at this point i had enough.I go to the front and ask for a manager. This Store manger named Marisa was my angel in disguise. Marisa called the pharmacy to see what was going on but they wouldn’t even pick up for their own store manager! Marisa had the cvs pharmacist call back again and took the call from the pharmacy room herself and made sure it reached the correct hands.Moral of the story the pharmacy in 406 S Oyster Bay Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801 is the worst pharmacy in long island.and (Marisa - store manager) should get a raise for having to deal with things like this on a daily basis.

They never answer their phone. If you go in person they are useless. Meds never ready even after several hrs or a full day. Drive thru window is the worst. Check the bag before you leave and make sure you got correct meds. Reporting them to insurance company bc they are dangerous and corporate couldnt care less. Never going there again.

Automated telephone requires better system. Personally, I have been disconnected more than a handful of times. I like most of the pharmacy staff with a few exceptions. Picture help has been there for me. The staff continues to educate me and has patience with me.Honestly, I did not explore other pharmacies to compare prices.Personally, some staff members go out of there way to help me and others do not carry that say proffessionalism or personality.

The Plainview Walgreens on South Oyster Bay Road is the worst Walgreens I’ve ever been to.. they close at 12am and I walked in at 9:15pm to make a purchase and they had no registers “open” that could take cash bc they were counting it to close.. what store CANNOT TAKE CASH bc they decided to take all the registers away 2 hours BEFORE closing.. absolutely ridiculous, no ever knows what’s going on in there and there’s never anyone to help you, they are so unorganized, they barely have stock and their prices have gone up a significant amount.. what is up with the management of this location?

No one should use Walgreens for Covid travel testingWalgreens advertises that they do PCR Covid testing for travel and the results will be available in 24-72 hours. However we have been waiting and reached out to the Lab which does the test. This is response from them:I am so sorry for your inconvenience. Unfortunately, I have searched our system using the information you provided, and I’m unable to confirm your sample has been logged into our system for testing at this time.Delivery to our lab in Nashville, TN could take 24-48 hours depending on your local FedEx or courier cutoff time. Once delivered to the lab, please also allow up to 24 hours for your sample to be logged into our laboratory tracking system until it appears as received in the patient portal.Our turnaround time is averaging 24 hours once samples are setup for testing. This excludes any necessary retesting. The laboratory is operational 24/7, and we are all working around the clock to report each sample as soon as possible. I am sorry to say, regardless of your circumstance, there is no further way for us to expedite this process.Walgreens told us that the specimen was picked up on Monday a full 24 hour after we gave our specimen. If we add 48 Hour for delivery to the lab and additional 24 hour to run results. That totals to 96 hours at the minimum.

Horrible Pharmacy!!!! they take long for prescription my child's doctor sent over the medicine 4 times and wasn't entered in their system, my child was in pain for 3 days. I called 6 time for 2 days was put on hold and got hung up on then my doctors office called them twice, was also put on hold then were hung up on too!

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever seen. Walgreen was fined for $ 7.5M to settle a consumer protection lawsuit, as the company is placing people's health at risk by allowing a phony pharmacist to handle over 745,000 prescriptions. I am positive one of the pharmacist must be from this Walgreen. All in all, bunch of interns are working to help phony pharmacist who are not trained for the customer service.

Terrible service,especially from the manager. Unccaring, unempathetic especially to people who are sick with covid and need medication.He basically shrugged his shoulders said sorry staffing shortages and stated there was nothing he could do as he was stocking shelves. When I asked to get in touch with upper management, I was denied and threatened by him. I will never shop in this store.

I was placed on hold for over 2 hours in order to discuss a medication. that is unacceptable. i called on multiple phones with the same result. it was a pressing matter and i am unable to go into the pharmacy. they need to do better. i wish i could put no stars to show displeased i am with the service.

I am trying to contact Pharmacy for last 38 minutes and phone is still on.When I called the store with different instrument the store employee says it’s 1.30 when I insisted that it was not 1:30 she reluctantly connected which never go through.

Staff has been great on my every visit. It is across CVS, so some competition going on. Prices in both stores are comparable. Walgreens is a good place to shop if you never return a product because Walgreens does not refund sales tax on returns. Each item has a return value printed on the receipt that is the same as in-store price minus taxes. So if I purchased a $100 item, something was wrong with it, and I returned it, I would get back my $100, but not the $8.63 I paid in taxes.

I’ve never experienced such poor service before.I have been on the phone waiting tospeak to pharmacy for 30 minutes. After they put me through to the wrong extension and claimed they couldn’t help me with seeing if they had a specific product. It’s not a big store. Try doing your job and go find out perhaps?????????It’s no wonder so many insurance companies don’t list you as a network pharmacy

Very nice location inside. Booked covid vaccines appointment for relatives here.. They did not do temperature checks at checkin like all other walgreens locations in the city. They seem a bit disorganized and the person checking u in was also the person providing the shots, so they were rushing. They need more staffing and a dedicated person to give the shots and 1 for checking people in.

Do not go here for your prescriptions. The pharmacy has been closed 3 different times I have gone to pick up my prescriptions. They don't post any information about it, they are just closed. For people needing prescriptions this is very inconvenient. I suggest going anywhere but here.
