Employees were super helpful and friendly & the store was clean and well stocked.I would have given it a better review if the item prices listed actually matched what you were charged at the register. So many things were listed at one price on the shelves yet rang up significantly more expensive at the register.I researched it online after and seems this is something Walmarts' often do so be prepared to pay more or order online and pick up at store in order to see what they're actually going to charge you.

The Herkimer Walmart showcases just how bad the organization is. Starting from the filthy, crowded parking lot littered with debris, and continuing to the poorly designed entrances with their cattle gates to keep customers penned in. The employees lack engagement because they earn poverty level wages, and the management could not be bothered to engage with their customers.And why on earth would they put in special parking for their law enforcement partners? The police murder minorities and kill innocent civilians, so let’s give them special parking?!?The store can’t even keep basic items like milk, eggs, water or paper towels in stock. They have plenty of cheap beer for the local drunkards, and potato chips and junk foods for the “non working” class. It’s easy to see what customer base they are trying to attract. The only associates I see are pushing around those massive bins, shopping for the people who are too lazy to come in the store and shop themselves. If it gets any worse they will have to build a separate store for this kind of nonsense.The store is filthy. They have announcements on the overhead radio stating the store is doing extra cleaning for your safety! This is a blatant lie! I challenge anyone to find an employee actually cleaning anything. The restrooms are disgusting and unsanitary. At any given time 2 out of three fixtures is “out of order” and the other fixtures are so filthy it’s not even funny. Human fecal matter on the floors and walls and partitions. Human urine laying in puddles near the base of the toilets. (Photo attached) What is wrong with this place!?!Half the shopping carts need to be scrapped and the other half need repair because they don’t operate correctly. Walmart saves money by firing cashiers and installing self service check outs. And this multi billion dollar company expects customers to pay for the paper bags??? Excuse me, but the paper bag should be included as a courtesy for spending my cash in your store. I will never pay you for a bag. Especially when I have to cash out and bag my own purchases. Even the dollar stores give you the bag as a courtesy. Welcome to the future of retail. I’m surprised we don’t have to pay a fee to them to shop in their store!Why do we, as American citizens, flock to places like Walmart? All their products are cheap, poorly constructed Chinese imports that put American workers out of jobs. The stores are understaffed by workers earning poverty wages. The buildings are unsanitary and filthy. Your probably going to have your car damaged, your money stolen, or catch COVID-19 (or typhus) when shopping here.

The variety of items always keeps me on my 'shop till I drop ' mode. I have found some items cheaper at other places but who wants to carry around all the proof you need to get it atthe same price at Walmart? Plus you have to get someone like a manager to change the price for you, & I, for one, think my time is precious & I consider what wages I would be making on my time spent doing so. Most of the time they have the items I like to use or consume. I did have a clerk, in the self check section 2 nights ago, that was changing my discount on an item, didn't believe me when I told him the xmas stuff was 70% off (he said 50), so he left me waiting to get the word from someone and never came back to erase the price on my ticket, nor to tell me that he had corrected it at his machine ( which I didn't know that was 1 thing they could do at their station), so I'm still standing there like a dummy, waiting, when my friend asked him about it & found out. Not a pleasant experience!

The night staff is absolutely the worst from the lady I'm assuming was in charge of the cash registers telling me I had to check out at 10 of cuz "she was about to close the registers" to the d****** guy working the door who was complaining verbally to one of the other girls about the fact that I didn't have a lot in my cart and I'd been wandering around for 15 minutes.As much as I appreciate A good lesson in time management from a 60 something year old cashier ,.. A) 11:00 is 11:00 not 10:50. (Old haggard register lady) B) it's none of your business how many items I purchase or how long it takes me to pick them out!!! (Woodchuck at the door) Your only purpose in life is to tell me "hello, welcome to Walmart" when I walk in and "have a good night thank you for shopping at Walmart" when I walk out...and that's it dumb dumb nothing more. Obviously these guys were in an extreme hurry to get out of there to which I say..... Too bad. You applied for the job now do it.If I could give less than one star I would

The very best wallmart ever added to a community, we hope every family will be kind to each other while they enjoy their shopping experiences. I bless the family's members and friends that come into their family and that the open door of finances would be put in order, I bless them and believe for their miracles in healing restoration of every area of their life that they believe for, especially the peace that comes from heaven.

Last 3 times i have used grocery pick up my stuff has been delayed. I have sat there between 1 and 2 hours after my pick up time waiting. Currently i am sitting here again for an hour so far waiting. It is very frustrating when a time is picked and it continuously is very late. I lielve a ways away and pick this time as it is when i am out of work. Some people have kids to pick up and places to be and cant sit and wait for 2 hours. I order at least 8-10 hours in advance. Sometimes more. There is no reason my order should not be done at the pick up time.

Valentines Day 2024I stopped in to Walmarts jewelry counter, and was pleasantly greeted by a counter woman, “Mary”! I had 2 watches that needed new batteries and Mary basically dropped what she was doing and took care of my watches! I was done in short order, and she even insisted on setting both watches to the correct tyme!!!…. Just gotta say this woman was awesome! A very pleasant, respectful woman and I just wanted to make sure that this store and Walmart knew that they have a wonderful employee/person in “Mary” !Thank You Mary! I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day..you ARE A SWEETHEART!

ordered a e delivery cell time card that did not arrive - then tried to talk to Walmart customer service.....They do not care and I remver all my shortcuts to WalMart on my devices - screw them - I am done with them - Im just glad it was only 17 bucks that I lost

On 12-30-23, We went to Herkimer to order three dozen cupcakes for my daughter's first birthday since Walmart offers a free smash cake "with The purchase of a special order bakery item that is $14.98 or higher." The bakery manger said the cup cakes count towards the free smash cake. We spent 20 minutes ordering the cupcakes and was told we we're "all set." When we started walking away we got called back over to have another bakery employee tell us "cupcakes doesn't count towards the free smash cake and it has to be a cake" we showed them the flyer and she said no. We went to customer service to have a manger tell us the bakery is right regardless of what walmart's own flyer said. The manger said "to call corporate and tell them to change there wording." Needless we canceled the order and went else where. What a shame what Walmart's customer service has turned into. We spend thousands there a year and even use Walmart plus.

I just got scolded not once but twice at the Herkimer Walmart for not scanning our groceries the way management wants us to. Perhaps managers should train all customers because I never received my training to be a cashier nor has any other customer. If you don’t want people scanning items in their cart take the scanner guns away. Not rocket science. I was told by said employee to eff off as I left the self checkout area. I will not be back.

Don't bother checking the app to find out if your item is in stock. I was just at the New Hartford Walmart looking at the empty space where the product is supposed to be. At the very same time the Walmart app was showing the item was in stock. That is what's called deceptive marketing, shame on you Walmart.

I went shopping and happened to need a new microwave and walked into this. Awesome! Microwave, convection, air fryer, etc. Saves counter space and I love it! Walmart really is a one stop shopping trip for my (and my grandson's) needs!

3 stars because it’s hit or miss with staff, you either get someone who’s helpful or someone who’s got the I can’t be bothered impression. Payed full price per bottle of water from a pack of 12 when the tag said 9$ at the shelf but it was one of those can’t be bothered staff so what cha gonna do.

Staff are nice but don’t bother with a large food pick up order. You won’t get it for days because there’s “no staff”, air quality is bad, the moon is full…etc etc. Ordered over $250 worth of food and suggested I cancel it. Whaaa?? Next time I’ll go to Hannaford. This is insane. And you sit an hour waiting to pick up order when they do have it because they are 3 hours behind.

Debra in the auto center should be educated on Walmart policies. Apparently she doesn’t care that she turned away sales due to ignorance and uneducated. Her unprofessional and rude attitude caused this 1 star review. Makes me wonder how many others have been turned away due to her not knowing the policy’s regarding tires.

Customers - omg you close at 11pm...it's 1057pm I have time!! 😭😭Have some consideration for the staff smh what were you doing all day that you decided to remember you needed something so late?!?Customer - they made me get my own items myself! 😰🤷Yes because they're most likely under tight time constraints getting their work done instead of doing your own shopping for you. Call Instacart of you are that Lazy!Wonder why the staff is miserable? Miserable customers from Hell that's why. Unless you work retail, have some kindness.

It's Wal-mart. This one is my local so I have more experience with them than normal. Return policies are much more of a pain than they used to be despite them getting easier in other stores. Less cashiers and stockers then ever and a growing focus on invasive security and weird doorside intimidation. They still have everything even if they are no longer the price leader they still beat most places overall and more importantly have everything you want in one place. Want to rank them lower but no one else has stepped in and probably never will in these smaller towns as Walmart procedures demand they stomp on mom and pop stores. That being said if the major online competitor ever moves on brick and mortar stores I dont think it will take long to dethrone Wallyworld. Somehow they've managed to drop down into one store territory. Despite local distribution you have constantly empty shelves and no time to stock with their much lower hours without leaving incredibly space filling stock and pallets all over. They deal with holidays worse than ever and have zero check out isles staffed by humans after like 8pm despite it being a commercial and/or religious holiday. Checking out over 300 items myself in a 10 item land with no belt is a lot of fun. Zero concern for anything but profit. 2 years into a global pandemic and somehow they aren't near catching up...their prices though are caught up plus some! They have improved slightly!

Customer service was kind, store is stocked, but do not depend on this place for bottle and can returns. Only 2 functional machines, that will jam. Nobody ever came to fix it despite asking the front end. Wasn’t able to return what I needed.
