Today my sister and I needed to get some bags of chopped alfalfa. We went to Rose and Utica stores and they had none. We went to your store in Herkimer and as always you could not get better staff so willing to help you. It is always a pleasure to walk in your store. You only had 2 bags. They first took the time to call several stores yo see if they had some. We were able to drive to Hamilton Store and the had 3 bags and saved it for us until we got there and then helped us put it in our car. We are 82 and 84 and appreciated the service we received. The Herkimer stiore employees explained how we’re could order it on line and if we wanted to do that way they would help us do the order. You should be very proud of your employees.

I couldn't find the item I was looking for. On my way out I came across this computer screen. It asked what I was looking for. I typed that item in and went all the way to the cc swipe. It didn't work. An employee offered to help and did so. The first problem. The packaging changed and the new one looked nothing like the old one. So the nice employee said they had 84 bags. It was literally 4' away. So we chose in store pick up and completed the transaction. After waiting a very long time and the employee couldn't figure out the delay I asked her to cancel the sale so I could get out of the store prior to the closing time. If I order from home do you think it might be quicker? Great idea but very dissapp ointed.

I will only deal with this company when it comes to buying my chickens/ducks because they always come in healthy and remain healthy with there supply of foods and antibiotics as well as electrolytes for there water. There staff is very informed as well so they can answer any questions that you may have. Not to mention the tractor supply brand names are a cheaper option with just as much quality as name brand products.

I've been doing business with TLC for about 10 years. 5 years in Fredericksburg Va.where the service was excellent. 5 years at the Herkimer N.Y. store where the service is excellent. At times the line is very long which can be annoying. That was true at both stores. The prices are similar to other "big box" stores. At times the deals are excellent. The staff in Herkimer always greets me by name and is always very helpful.

I was looking for a new Vet for my animals and 1 of my cats was due for her rabies vaccine. Seeing as there were a few confirmed cases in our county I didnt want her's to lapse. The veterinary clinic staff were very friendly and my cat was very comfortable with them. I have found a new family veterinarian but wouldn't hesitate to go here again if needed.

Always a good experience... everybody is always polite and helpful.. If you can't find something they will do their best to find it or replace it... And you are allowed to bring your dog which makes life a lot easier

Nice to have a TSC neer by. They have anything you might need to keep your farm up and running. From tools, tires & tubes, parts & batteries, cloths, animal feed and they even have best price on propane refill ( you only pay for what it takes to fill your tank, not just one flat fee !)

Does not honor company policies until corporate is called and involved. Management is very unprofessional and rude to the customers, and this is coming from someone who has only worked in customer service. The customer should always be treated as they are right and in no way should you be rude to people who spend hundreds of dollars a year at the company they work for. Very disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Didnt have a thermostat for my chicken incubator . Employe was clueless and more worried about what was going on in the stock room than helping me find what I need.Tried to find another employee he was on his phone. Unreal!!!!!

When you cant find something at a regular hardware store, this place will have it. However they also lack a lot of things as well. Great for farmers/ people with a lot of animals.

Would not recommend Herkimer store....the birds sunflower seeds are cheap, but watch out and check the bags when opened. .I found bags of moldy seeds..check the expiration dates on some dog foods , dry and canned. Sometimes they're old and expired...told the older (gray haired) check out lady and she couldn't care less about it. ..

Took my dog to Tractor Supply in Herkimer to get his rabies vaccine. (They offer all the vaccines but this is all my dog was due for).There was a huge turn out but it ran like a well oiled machine. The people running the veterinary clinic are fantastic! I also had him microchipped per their recommendation. So to take him in, get the rabies vaccine and microchip along with a quick assessment and all necessary paperwork it only cost $41. And then they gave me coupons and I got a free bag of dog food (normally $8). What a great service Tractor Supply offers. Herkimer does it every Saturday and N.Utica every other Sunday. Not sure of Rome's hours. Will definitely do it this way next time he is due!
