One of our dog went after our cat and did a lot of internal damage. Baseball size hole in the muscle wall, spleen cut in half, small hole in the diaphragm. Our cat needed over 3 hour of surgery. They were very understanding, caring and knowledgeable. They work together as a team. So thankfully for them.

I was impressed with the care, warmth, and attention of the staff from the front desk all the way to the Dr. But sadly they're not taking new patients at the Herkimer location. I guess I'll have to drive the distance listening to my cat sing the song of his people to their other location for this quality of service!

I’m so happy Herkimer Veterinary Associates took us on as a new patient. My cat has an irritated eye and they got us right in. It was quick and painless and they answered all of our questions. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet!

This clinic is fantastic. I'm a vet tech in the Buffalo region and with it being a very congested veterinary area up here I am super pleased to see that this office can get my twin sister in whenever she is having concerns with her pup. Very very empathetic and compassionate to her needs even though she has cost concerns for things. With any of that practice if you're looking to get your dog in for concerns it's understandable that there may have to be a wait to get an appointment because sometimes there just isn't an opportunity to get someone in until the next day. They have always gotten my sister in within a day and taking care of her. I covered her bill to send her pup over the rainbow bridge and it was very easy to give them my information and for them to process the payment. I plan to move back to this area and i look forward to have my pets here and hopefully even working for them

The entire team at Herkimer Vets is fantastic. Really easy to contact, schedule a time, get a hold of during an emergency, and quickly responds to after hours/on call texts/calls.My horses and I have been more than well taken care of by Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Murphy over the last 8 years. Truly the best!

Everyone from the secretary and the assistance to the vet tecs and the Veterinarians themselves are so friendly and pleasant. They All made our puppies visit very easy and enjoyable. The puppies both needed shots and the staff made them so comfortable I'm not sure if the dogs even noticed. Overall a great experience and a great place to go for your pets needs...

I am so thankful for Herkimer Veterinary associates 24 hour on call emergency vet care. We had quite the scare last night when our dog had a fish hook stuck in his mouth. Dr Ostasz and one of the technicians (I’m not sure of her name) met us there with in 20 minutes. I can’t thank them enough for helping us so quickly. They were able to sedate him and remove the hooks while we waited. We are extremely great full!

I have always had a positive experience with both the Herkimer location and the West Winfield location. They have taken great care of my cats from vaccinations, spaying and neutering, ear care and with the loss of one of my elderly cats that had to be put down due to illness. The entire staff has always been kind and professional. I highly recommend them at either locations.

Left ME disappointed once again. AFTER 6 YEARS Not trustful. My animal deserves so much better care than they could provide me. Would NOT RECOMMEND. RUDE TO MY MOTHER. NOT ACCEPTABLE. after surgery would not have me back to my included 2 week check back apt. What kind of people leave your animal with holes in his mouth after surgery w stitches and now not allowed back due to i lost my confidence in them. Unbelievable. Truth hurts. They ruined his eyes over and over lets try this lets try that. Years of let down. Thank you for the shunning. We will be best off without you

A bit pricey, like to try to talk you into what they think your pet needs. Sadly, Other than the cats, they haven't been of much help. Brenda is a wonderful person, and a good vet. I almost wish she totally ran the place. Alas, she is only 1 person. Even still, they spayed my girls, and did a great job.

Had an emergency situation with my pup and of course her regular vet had to be on vacation and it had to be on a weekend! They took us in ASAP and answered all of my questions and concerns. They were wonderful! Everyone here was so welcoming and understanding. They handled my spoiled little brat of a dog with great care and I can not thank them enough for their knowledge and professionalism!

They are so caring and nice and also very professional. When i was there with my dog (who sadly passed away) they did everything they could for her. They had to cremate her and they were so nice about the whole process. When her ashes were ready to get picked up i expected a box of her ashes. I had no idea they had a BEAUTIFUL wooden carved box made from premium wood along with a s little letter with it. I highly suggest bringing your animal there

I have spoken with both Jessica & Linda & found them both very pleasant, helpful & accommodating. Allison, the vet tech, was very kind with my 17 y.o. cat who got car sick & was not the picture of great grooming on our first visit! I appreciate you Allison. Dr Brant's holistic & non aggressive care & recommendations were excellent.

This is the worst vet I have ever encountered.. I take my dogs to get check-up everytime they need it.. I recommend them to my sister who had a cat. They charged her 500 just to tell her. Her cat died. These are not dollar signs, these are family members. They just act like they are not important they are very very rude. I call to get a flee pill for my dog who is caught up on all shots and not unhealthy and they refuse unless I pay another 50.00 per dog for the appointment and another 50 for flee pills needless to say after 1 year I have had enough of these vets

Horrible horrible place to go! Very rude, when I called because my pup pulled a muscle in his leg and was crying in pain, there response was well we are going to lunch so you will have to come after 1, they didn't offer to see him before that until I asked for another vets office number who would see him right away. They then charged my card 300 dollars before I even had my dog in the office, when the bill only came to 132 they also wanted to give me a hard time about refunding the remaing balance to my card and wanted me to keep the credit on my account. I will never bring one of my animals there again, they were rude, and not sincere.

It's 50 dollars just to walk in the door. It's 35 dollars at German Flatts. I did blood work on my dog and during the call I got disconnected. I called back with no answer, so I sent an email asking about my dogs rabies shot. I need to know when she's due for them. I also asked some other serious questions. Instead of helping me they replied by telling me happy birthday to my dog. It's not even her birthday.
