It's great to have Harbor Freight Tools right here on our main street in Herkimer NY. Not only do they sell low priced tools helping you complete projects that won't bankrupt you, they have also benefitted the environment.Harbor freight just completed refurbishing an existing structure wisely recycling available resources. Their store backs to Meyers Park yet does not impede the beautiful vistas as their roofline is barely visible from the residential streets which they abut.

Ordered a tool box back in May. Come to find out in the middle of June that it was never actually ordered. Fast forward to August, I receive an email on Monday, August 7th that the box has arrived to the store and is ready for pick up. Get here on Wednesday to be told that their fork lift is dead and they just plugged it in and to come back in half an hour or so and for the inconvenience I will receive a $300 refund. Come back to the store and that changed to 147. Then to a 10% coupon off the next big purchase I make at this store. I requested a refund for the box and the hutch I ordered for it that day to be told that I can only get a gift card but if I come back on Friday or Saturday that the manager might be able to refund it back onto my card. Never had an issue with any other Harbor Freight but this one.

Good clean store, helpful staff if they are aware of your needs. They won't waste your time if they don't know, which is very much respected in my eyes. Always go in if I need those simple one time tools.

Ripped me off for a 20% RESTOCKING FEE on a power washer with a design flaw, e.g. the "wand" was low pressure. I spent some time on the internet looking at various reviews; it seems that Horror Freight pulls this scam on many people. DON'T SHOP THERE!!

Trollish: I declined to give my personal info at checkout. Surly Rep copped an attitude, wasn't going to issue a receipt. Only rang up my purchase when it became clear I was going to walk. Didn't thank me, had to be asked for a bag. If hadn't needed the tool that day, I'd have used Amazon. Which I will in the future.

Very helpful and nice people. Even a supervisor and manager worked together to help us out so, that tells me the manager isn't afraid to help out right along with everyone else working. Laid back atmosphere and great prices. I don't have any complaints about what they sell. I will be shopping here, more. Thank you Harbor Freight and their help.

As an engineer, I love shopping here for tools/accessories. Harbor Freights and Home Depot are my favorite stores for tools. The customer service here is great. The store is small but it has many useful things that I can't find at other stores. I love how their website is updated with stock items and it also has reviews.

I loved my visit here today for a few reasons.1. They greeted customers when they came and thanked them as the left.2. There was staff on the floor.3. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helped me find what I needed with great attitudes.4. When I didn't get the discount I expected (my fault, I didn't tell them I had it or realized it didn't go through until I was unloading things in my car) I was pulled out of line when I returned to get help instead of having to wait again. I was really impressed that they were so willing to make things right and tried to speed up the process as much as they could.The only downside to this place is I could see how parking could get tricky if it was packed as there were a few spots that could easily back up into a power pole.

The new harbor freight store in Herkimer is very nice well maintained lots and lots of products never anything missing or short. The staff seems to know what they are doing. Managers are great if they stay like this the store will do very good in this area.

Employee immediately noticed I was looking around and following current health guidelines from 6 feet away, he asked if I needed help finding something. He walked me to the aisle to show me exactly where it was. Very happy with my experience at this store.

You know when you go to the doctor and he writes you a script and checks the "generic" box and you pay $5.00 instead of $25.00? That's Harbor Freight but for tools. The tools may not be Stanley or Craftsman but they're still good quality tools but at a much cheaper price, and that's Harbor Freight in a nutshell.

Harbor Freight (formally Old Navy) you can find tools and if you want to be the envy of all the boys you have to see the GIANT TOOL BOXES. Located in Herkimer ( where the old navy used to be. Friendly ppl too.
