The BEST 'craft' store in the ROC area! The staff is beyond helpful and friendly without being pushy and the selection of literally everything is better than the Greece location by far!

Went in to purchase a Viking Sewing machine that was on sale until 4/1. Not actually because this store is closed Easter. Went on Saturday 3/30 at 6 pm (store closes at 9 pm) to purchase the sewing machine and the store refused to sell it to me because technically the Viking area is like a mall kiosk and the lady that works it went home early. Also they will not honor the sale price if I come back Monday, which I will NOT.

You can find of sort of products for any posible project- sewing, I cricut, painting, tie dying, home decorating, etc. t’s well organized and the people that work in there are helpful.

I decorated my jars of homemade marmalade for my friends and family. I was thrilled to find all I needed at JoAnne’s. With some guidance from the helpful staff I found ribbon, plaids, string, tags and their abundant “Blooming Holiday” ephemera.

This is my go to store for all my home project needs! :) they are always helpful and friendly! Oh, and FYI... they totally honor competitor’s coupons! So any coupons you may have for Michaels or Hobby Lobby, Joann’s will accept those for use at their store which is awesome! If you’re an avid DIYer like I am, download the app so you can have access to all the coupons you need all the time! It helps a lot! :) I redid a dresser with all of my supplies from this store! And it turned out amazing! :)

This place is a crafting Utopia. I was awestruck at their selection of cloths and threads and zippers. I consciously made the decision to get what I needed and get out, lest I spend my entire paycheck.My project at the time was a simple pillow that I needed a zipper and thread for. Joann had dozens of each in varying length, strength and color. My biggest "problem" was finding the shorter spool of thread (and then deciding which of the black options was best). I was torn on the zippers (4-inch or 6?) but it was so cheap I just got both for good measure.The selection at Joann's was miles ahead of the local competition and the pricing was better too.Joann's is my top choice for all my crafting needs.

had to change my review, in the last six month the demand on the employees has increased drastically, they are now down to 2 employees at all times. The store will be closing within the year and is on a path to such an outcome from corporate, who have already closed 4300 plus stores this past two years, as a result of online sales as people do not want to go into the stores as a result of them bending to the will of the WCS system which they have been scared into adhering to. Such a shame.

I love this store for the location and huge selection. I am very dismayed to learn that this location will be closing, as it is my daughter's go-to source for her sewing needs. I have visited the Batavia location, but there really wasn't much to work with, and I don't remember it having any fabric at all. To be honest, if you are closing locations, you are closing the wrong one.

I haven't been here in years, as I am definitely not the crafty type. I went in looking for fabric to upholster an ottoman that has seen better days in our home and was helped by several people. I was even offered the last of the available pet friendly fabric roll at a 75% discount. Everyone, right up to the cashier were beyond helpful and friendly. Wish me luck on this poor thing.

Great selection at good prices. Cutting table help could be more customer focused and communicative. We stood there 5 minute waiting to be helped with no other customers near us and 3 employees behind the counter. When finally helped she explained she was waiting for the larger cutting table. Well just tell us that!

I actually have visited JoAnns many times. Today, I spend at least an hour, maybe two, just wandering the store, looking at EVERYTHING they offer. And it's a lot. Need specialized pliers? They have them. Need LOTS of stickers, buildable stickers, sticker books, sticker paper, sticker anything you can imagine? They have it.I've always thought of JoAnns as a fabric store. And they DO have fabric, and notions and sewing supplies. They ALSO have TONS of craft supplies, machines, and crafting ideas. Maybe even more than Micheals.. SO I'd recommend you REALLY check it out :)

I usually love this store and have fond memories of shopping here with my grandma but my experience tonight was less than stellar. As one fellow retail worker to another(and I wish I got her name) but even if she was having a bad day or had a bad customer before me, it still did not warrant the treatment I was given. I felt completely unwelcome and an inconvenience to her. She never greeted me and I tried by asking how she was tonight with no response back. Spent most of the transaction chirping into her headset at a fellow employee about the lack of help she had putting a cart away and when I flipped through the app to see if my coupon would work she heavy sighed. I was the only one in line and yes I get it as someone who has to smile through all the "is there a coupon?" questions at my job (not that this woman smiled once)as well but I felt rushed and flustered. And no my coupon didn't work and I didn't pitch a fit or cause drama for her at all because I GET it. Finally ended by her shoving the bag at me and I said have a good night and no response except to bark at my husband and his friend that she was ready for them. I told her they were with me and she completely ignored me and kept shouting NEXT until they joined me by the door. I left feeling very upset as that's usually my happy place and am almost afraid to go back and have that happen to me again and damage what that place means to me. Definitely not someone you want to be the face of that company sadly.

New to the world of textiles and such I found excellent customer service and the materials I needed. Advice was welcomed and not overbearing. Discounts readily available online. Plenty of parking and more than I would expect In a fabric store. A little disappointed that most of the material was made in China. That hurts when you are making stuff in the USA, but forced to use Chinese materials and accessories.

One lady in particular makes this store so enjoyable to shop at: LORA! She was absolutely wonderful and full of ideas to help my mom and I with a DIY dog bed project today! She helped us find the best prices and deals. Awesome job.

I love the wide variety of craft supplies offered here. Generally a wide variety of items available even during sales. I'm not pleased with their lack of signage for sale priced items or the interpretation of coupons and what they're eligible to be used for. It used to be coupons were able to be used on regular priced merchandise, except for what is outlined in the details of the coupon. I was here 3 days ago, spent over $80, however, I couldn't use the coupon for $15 off $75. I was told it was because I had clearance items, but the coupon didn't specify this exclusion.

The fabric selection was not what I have come to expect from Joann. Perhaps they were changing over the material from winter to summer selections. The line was long for checkout since there was only a single cashier because the other cashier was busy with a lengthy complicated checkout. I’ll try again hoping for better selections in the near future.

I end up here way too often. The staff is always lovely and ready to help, they also offer plenty of classes at this location. Make sure to download the app to get those sweet coupons. There are always great sales going on.

By far the best JoAnn location in the greater Rochester area. Biggest selection, nice large space with wide aisles that are wheelchair friendly. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. There are two or three closer locations, and I will drive the extra miles EVERY TIME.

I normally don’t write reviews unless I’m really happy or upset. But today I picked up a curbside order (third one since corona started and never had a problem before today) the girl stood back by the back window so I could barely see her and THREW my order into my front seat through the window. Like I understand social distancing but you could of GENTLY placed it in the seat or if you didn’t feel comfortable asked me to open the back window (which I would of done). It’s good thing my items were breakable but it’s not like they would know because the bags are stapled shut.

I shopped on line to pick up curbside. The transaction was smooth. The confirmation tells you to call the store upon arrival but no one answered so I got in line behind other cars. No biggie. I'm sure the person tasked with answering the phone is the same person handing out the orders. I'd do it again.

if sheryl is your cashier, go the other way. so rude to me for no reason and she wasn’t clear with what she wanted me to do and was rude about it after i was lost. people like that shouldn’t work in customer service
