I love almost every store location, because the incredible varieties of exotic, domestic fruits, vegetables, meats, and bakery items. The layout of the merchandise and produce is spectacular and pleasing to the eyes. The customer service is always great, it almost makes you feel like your in a farmers market. Good vibes.

Clean store, very bright, quite a few sales. Good display of Boar's head cold cuts. I has been there before, but didn't see any handicap buggy. Sucks for the elderly & disabled.

All there prepackaged food at the deli is always expired or tasted disgusting. It must be their fridge cus I really don’t understand how no one catches this cus it’s very time I purchase

Nice folks who run the place. Backing your truck in is a bit sketchy here, and unloading takes a while sometimes. They don’t have a huge staff on the dock. Plus side is you can do some grocery shopping at reasonable prices.

Ample parking. 2 handicap spots at the door. Store is clean and well stocked. Do have good sales on certain items. Boars Head is carried at the deli counter. Recommend it. The pickle place within the store is closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please check your receipts, they are charging for items that you do not have in your shopping cart, they explain that it is the system or cashier error but they always charge more and never less money (very convenient) 🤔🤔I have been to this store four times and the same thing has happened every single time 🤔🤔🤔

Clean, well organized store with plenty of options. Bought some nice sirloin steaks and they cooked up just right and tender. The produce section was well laid out with plenty of fresh options. Meat locker was a joy, everything looked nice and fresh. Prices were reasonable and the store was not crowded. Also plenty of parking, something we miss in Queens. Glad I decided to stop in to pick up dinner!

A mixed review on this market. The pros of western beef are hard to find items. If you're looking for Hispanic or carribian groceries, this place is terrific. The meat selection is vast with the store having staples such as chicken, beef, pork and it's own fish section with a monger as well as frozen fish which was likely farmed in China, but I'm not certain. Meats also include harder to find meats like Cornish hens, duck, rabbit, tongue, chitterlans, goat, etc. There is also a fresh pickle stand just outside the refrigerated area. Bread selections are ample as well as they have fresh baked breads on site.Negatives - their freshed baled bread is marginal. At times the fish smells old. Most of the meat is packaged in family sized packages, some is just enormous. Meats are ungraded (likely select) and are not competitively priced for that grade. Store brand items are not the same quality of store brands like stop and shop and others, however their house made sausage (both breakfast and regular) are excellent. I've bought store brand chips and they tasted stale. Some items on the shelves are past their expiration. Produce is on the higher side of price. If you need help, be prepared to speak Spanish.As I lived a quick 5 minute drive from this location, I now live 30 minutes from there and still go back for some items. There is an announcement which my wife and I find hysterical as it's done with a strong "street" accent. Parking is ample. Fresh flowers are normally available year round. Lines are typically not long and cashiers are normally quick.For me this store is about getting hard to get items, not having it as my main market.

I have tried to return my empty bottles and cans that I purchased from this store. For the last 3 days the machines do not work.I have reported this to the store and have had NO SATISFACTION to getting them working.The collection baskets below ARE EMPTY.It seems to me that the Management should take on PRIDE in having serviceable machines working.This reflects in the future if I still plan to shop there.

Very nice fast and friendly service. The cashier was very polite and was so quick with processing our purchase, it was amazing. I am very glad I did my purchases at the West Hempstead Western Beef this weekend. It is the first time I have ever had such fast service in a grocery store. I also have to say that there were several specials making my purchase very budget friendly.

I went to store with specific dept and purchases in mind--namely all produce; therefore I didn't look at any other area of store. When I do a more extensive shopping, I can give a more accurate assessment. Produce dept was clean, organized and well stocked. Priced were on par with other stores I frequent.

The cashier did not pay attention to the money I gave her and had an attitude when she was corrected. The employees were cussing in front of me and my child. They had no manners, just forced there way through no excuses me. Just horrible overall.

Nice supermarket. I mostly go there when I'm setting up for a barbeque. They are limited for my regular shopping. Don't carry most of the cereals my children love like Captain Crunch and cereals with marshmallow. Couldn't find oat or coconut milk since we don't do cow's milk (they do carry almond milk of which doesn't help since my child has a nut allergy).

Great medium-sized supermarket, one thing I really like about this supermarket is the fact that they close late and sell pretty much almost everything groceries at a fairly decent price. If you live in West Hempstead or the surrounding neighborhood, here is an ideal place to shop for groceries.If you find this post helpful, please like this post, thank you 😊

We go there for the pickles. Always find much more. Good quality meats at good price, but dress warm to go into the meat room. Large cuts available. Easy parking and convenient can and bottle recycling around back. No waiting for a machine

Not the widest selection of everything and not necessarily the best quality but a good basic neighborhood store with reasonable prices and a pretty wide selection of products. What is special is they have the pickle people will you can get delicious sour pickles of a wide variety of types from very hot pickles to very mild half-sour pickles they have lots of specialties. Also available is a basic selection of flower bouquets for the weekends

I want there, walked in saw three registers open with 5 carts on each line. turned around and walked out. there are more managers then cashiers. In the past few months I've seen a chance, the place is running much better. I'm changing from one star to three stars. Thay can still do better.

This particular location is great for diary products, all vegetables types and certain fruit, watermelon party platter $5.99, other stores charge $20-$26. Cantaloupe, Melon not ripe. Apples, oranges over priced. All cakes yummy and reasonable priced. Protein types, fish, beef, pork, turkey and, poultry, is questionable, depending on the day. I wouldn't buy it here. Be selective when you shop here, really look at the quality, the color, the dates etc.,

Great selection of fresh produce and latin american products! We have always been able to find pretty much everything we need at Western Beef. They have a fresh baked goods section, small deli section, as well as a pickle station near the freezer aisles. They are currently taking precautions for social distancing but I've found they are not usually too busy during weekdays. Great place to grab and go or do a full grocery shop!

Store is fantastically stocked. Employees are useless. Today is just another notch in their long line of customer service fails.Stuck behind a Western Beef employee on line. I know this because she was wearing a western beef polo shirt. She repeatedly left the line to go get more items. My cashier, Brian just waited for her to return each time. After about 15 minutes of her vanishing, returning with new cakes, vanishing again, returning 4 minutes later, and then arguing over the price of 6 pack of sodas; I finally left. It's nice to know that your actual customers take a shitty back seat to employees who work in this store but after an 8 hour shift just cannot figure out what they want, and then make YOU wait 15 minutes on line while they continue to shop.Now, there's another supermarket about 1-2 blocks away. I'll be shopping there from now on.

Store is clean, meat is fresh, staff is very helpful, and the deli department is great. Like all stores you have to checks dates on items but I always do that anyway. Great place to get great meat prices without compromising quality.

Terrible the cashier manager today 10/15/19 at 2:45 pm. She is very rude. I returned a soda that I purchased because it was open. It had no gas, its completely flat. She was very disrespectful with me , she told me I'm suppose to check my groceries before in a rude way. I was explaining the situation to the grocery manager and her she was laughing!! Disrespectful lady.Because of $2 soda you're going to lose a family that spends $800 to $1000 a month here.

Western Beef is a great local supermarket. They always have what I need and great sales. The place is so clean and provides a lot of community support. When was the last time you walked into a meat department freezer? They have a huge meat department.

Great cold cut counter and fresh baked rolls. Produce is very good too. Alot of 3 for $10.00 sales. For whatever reason my wagon is never full but my bill is always hefty.

I buy deli meats on a weekly basis and haven't had any bad stuff so far. Also I've had several salads from the deli. My favorite is the antipasta salad. I'd give this place a 6 on the 1-10 scale. Decent selection of items. Decent prices. Occasionally get over charged.

It's great for quick items and the prices are decent but you pay for what you get. Higher quality, organic and specialty items have to purchased elsewhere. And the cashiers always seem quite unhappy.
