This place is horrible. Staff at the register chased me down in the tool section, most likely biased me and yelled at me and said all of said tools HAD to be purchased at her register then proceeded to take my tools from my cart, put all my tools I intended on buying somewhere out of sight then told me get in line? I’m a 20 year veteran. Far from broke, far from illegal and far from a thief. I understand you guys are immigrant riddled but to implement this protocol is very disrespectful and doesn’t not cater to your customers. Your cashier on Sunday, May 5th 2024 in the tool section needs to be retrained and taught proper PR mannerism. Just lost a customer and didn’t purchase the tools I wanted. Went to Lowe’s. Steer clear of this Home Depot. Very ghetto

Went to Garden Center and they were out of peat moss. Prices for plants were on the expensive side. Grass seed was reasonably priced. They had Halloween display that was very eye catching

Rude staff. I asked one employee that was manning the register where power tools were sold where the sand paper was; they sold power sanders in that area so I figured he’d know. Guy said “don’t know” and proceeded to mumble under his breath as I walked away, I guess I was bothering him. I finally found the sand paper. As I stood looking at the sand paper an employee walked passed me told another employee in the isle stocking to close the other gate while he closed the other end. Both of them passed me but not one of the felt the need to mention they were closing the isle and I should leave it. They were just staring at me like I knew what was going on and should act accordingly. To be clear I did not hear what they said when they were talking about closing the gates, I figured it out afterward. The only person who was nice to me was a female worker who asked me if I needed help.

Typical Home Depot. Just be careful in the parking lot, there are lots of people that come up to you to "Help" you but expect some money in return. People also approach you for hand outs. Order online and pick up inside if you can do that, that is a pretty smooth process for the most part.

Im here now waiting for the supervisor 45 min and still she is not showing up here name is AUNDREY the most annoying person i ever met she didn’t even say sorry about waiting till now 58 min exactly! She was so disrespectful unprofessional she was talking on the phone while she talked to me and laughing with someone on the phone! I never ben more disrespectful than today at this Home Depot at hempstead! I will never shop at this location again!

There is a Spanish guy in the tool desk that touched me he brushed his hand on my body and tried grabbing me this is so unprofessional the man had curly hair I will never go back here because of that man he does not belong in the tool desk I hope they do something about him

Friendly helpful stafff...but the store is not really organized. Christmas trees and decorations are kind of pushed off and out of the way during the height of the season. Low inventory on basic things like the heavy duty garbage bags. Not my first choice. Christmas decorations are in full view but everything falls flat as you enter the store itself.

I'm a contractor for years. Usually don't work in new york.Homedepot in Hempstead NY. Fulton ave. Cashiers haven't personal conversations.I try to get a purchase over 2500 and I have to take everything with me. I couldn't come back and take by portions. I ask if they can load 50pcs of drywall in my van , using the machine. But answer was no. I need to carry in total 200pcs on 4 strip by my self.No good. Nj homedepot is way better and service 100% better

Great items, organized and neat for the most part... can work on reworking signatures in some areas.Staff - not always the most helpful, but sure can find 5 staff standing around chatting while help is needed... customers with questions, phones ringing and no one answering, etc. They say they're hiring, but better manage who you currently have better so you don't add to the incompetence.

There are way too many day labor people in the parking lot asking for work or every time I go buy some supplies. They even bug me in the aisles of the store. There is literally 200 day workers surrounding the entire building everyday, no exaggeration. I have been shopping at this Home Depot for well over 20 years and it is out of control.

They have you on hold for very long period of time. Never get back to you and does not seems capable of answering knowledgeable of certain questions about tax ID refund after you purchased items for shipping overseas.
