Love this Family Dollar.Today I needed assistance with a split payment transaction. The Lovely Family Dollar Rep scanned my items, I paid for everything& then remembered the split payment part. She was so kind as to reimburse the items, scanned them a second time and let me divide the payment with no complaint or bad attitude and she didn't rush me. I must find out her name so until then........this review is to be continued.....

The store has a lot of good things I need like frozen veggies and meats and delicious snacks. However customer service needs to be worked on. There’s this one guy who I don’t like, don’t care for and I can tell he hates his job. He just doesn’t seem friendly. He acts like it’s so hard to speak and especially with friendliness. Every time he hands me my stuff he always does it in silence, usually when I’m in stores and get checked out, the cashiers at least say thank you or at the very least have a nice day. I think they should drop that guy cause he doesn’t seem nice at all. But anyways, besides that, the store is good.

I went here a few weeks ago and I’ve been to other family dollars where the customer service is great. The guy at the register didn’t want to give me a bag for my “small” item. Because they were running out. And I told him to buy more bags and he told me he would start charging for bags then. And I just laughed and said “well go ahead” you are a store not a deli. Get some bags.

I should give them zero, but i shop here because it's close by and i live in this neighborhood. But the customer service presented in this store is BEYOND horrible. No smiles, careless attitudes, and they act as if you're ruining their day just by asking for help. Of course they're ghetto......so it doesn't really surprise me. But seriously...they got to do better.

I was there today shopping . They changed the staff. Very helpful and respectful. So nice to shop there. Seriously such great staff.

They keep expired ice cream on the shelves. I thought the ice cream I got expired on 6/21, but it actually expired June 2020. I should have checked, but at the same time expired items shouldn't have been on the shelves at all.**EditI actually stopped by a few days afterwards and they let me exchange it for a new one. Thanks!

5/2/15 @18:52 Hours I and my Associate went to 80 Clinton Ave. Location here in Hempstead. At this location there was a Clerk by the name Keisha who was loud, disrespectful, and out right had no class at all. She bounced into me tonight on her way to the register. No excuse me!! No courtesy at all. She was behaving like she was in the hood, and we were homies on the corner. Then she jumped over the counter to stand behind it a hurl insults under her breath, laced with profanity. THIS LOCATION IS RUN LIKE A ZOO!! THEY WERE BAGGING OUR PURCHASES UP WITH GLAD GARBAGE BAGS!! The store is a total mess with stuff all over. The Manager Robert tonight had no control of this store or anything going on in it. This young lady Keisha does not deserve to work in the Service business. Let me pose a question can Family Dollar Afford Shopping Bags? If so how come there are none in this community. Then to spend almost $100.00 and be verbally abused by a disgruntled clerk named Keisha only adds insult to injury. You have to do better in this community, like you do in the rich ones.... THIS LOCATION IS HOOD, AND THE WORST THIS STORE IS DISGUSTING!! #EPICFAIL #THEWORST #AWFUL

If i can give this a no star i would , i went there yesturday , there was this guy name David on the register , was looking so serious , was mainly on the phone at the register , didnt greet me or anything & thats not how customer service works . Hopes he gets fire for not doing his job .

Everyone was screaming like apes. Yelling how they dont like America! Both staff and customers, I literally felt like I was in a zoo and getting a headache. Wont come back here, store isn't even clean.

FAMILY DOLLAR IS A GOOD PLACE TO VISIT FOR A COMMON PERSON.ONE CAN GET A VARIETY OF ALMOST ALL THE THINGS BEING USED BY A COMMON PERSON ON VERY VERY REASONABLE PRICES.A WARM RECEPTION IS BEING GIVEN TO THE CUSTOMERS.IF U VISIT ONCE DEFINITELY U WANT TO VISIT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

this family dollar has a lot of options. Food selection is is pretty low but I have always found what Im looking for. The cashier's are always friendly everytime I've gone.
