Stopped here on a rainy Saturday. We sat outside on porch with our dog. They were very welcoming and friendly towards her which is always a plus. The heaters on the porch were great! The wine was excellent! Definitely one of the best in the FLX in my opinion. Their parent company is Herman J so you know their whites are good. We didn't have a reservation so we couldn't do a tasting since it was the weekend, but we did have glasses.

This is a very nice location and definitely worth a stop. The front lobby area is under construction, but you can enter from the lake side via the deck. Please note that you should have a reservation in advance of your visit.The location is very clique, trendy and new. It offers great views of the vineyard and the lake. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. These are some of the better wines on the trail and are priced as such.This is a great place to come and relax and enjoy your flight (tableside).

We ended our day trip to the winery at Standing Stone. The atmosphere, wine, and costomer service were all out of this world! It was our favorite stop all day.Unfortunately, our friend driving had her car battery die while we were inside. The workers stayed nearly an hour after their closing shift to help jump our car, provide us a warm place to sit, and went above and beyond to let us know they were there to help! I think this goes to show what kind of friendly employees as well as an organic experience you can expect to have at Standing Stone. It will now be a must stop on our next trip to the winery!

Absolutely spectacular! This was our favorite winery in the entire region. If you like bold reds (non sweet) - this is it. The only one in the area we could find! We accidentally stumbled upon this gem.. the cheese plate was amazing! But the staff - was the best! Thera couldn't have been more knowledgeable, engaging, and kind. It is the only winery to which we will return on our next visit. They have been remodeled. The views are unparalleled and the ambiance so inviting. Thank you for such a wonderful visit!

Great views, great wine and friendly staff. Daniel was a great host. They have a small snack selection but the portions are generous and $5. They have a slightly larger selection on weekends. I really liked the 2020 Riesling

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tasting at Standing Stone on Wednesday. Being able to create our own flight that suits our preferences was perfect. Tasting notes were provided and our server frequently stopped and talked to us about the wines, the vineyard, and the process of wine making. He was so informative - we learned quite a bit. This will definitely be a stop on our next trip to the Finger Lakes region - by far our favorite winery!

This tasting room is absolutely gorgeous with an old farmhouse (but modern) feel. The views of the vineyards and lake Seneca are wonderful. The staff was very friendly!

Very nice ambiance. Limited menu but solid selections. Didn't have a reservation during January, but it is down time and I would highly recommend making a reservation at any other time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice for casual but nice small gatherings. Wouldn't typically recommend more than 4 person groups.

Amazing wine and grounds. The dry Riesling and Riesling are very fragrant and light with a little bit of bubbles. We also tried some rare red Sapuravi, it was quite strong but very rich and flavorful. Chardonnay was a bit to light for me.The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is very clean and simple. The views are amazing!The place is a bit hidden and doesn’t have a curb appeal from the road but when you walk to the back, the views are breathtaking.It’s a very high quality wine, I walked away with a full box of wine, mostly whites.

Wonderful, beautiful vineyard with exquisite decor, atmosphere, and friendly staff. Any question you have they'll answer. The wine is surprisingly good for NY wine, and makes for a calming, delectable retreat. Highly recommended!

We have been long time fans, and I see only great things to come from this well established FLX vineyard! Under the care of the HJW team's stewardship I am super excited to see what new and beautiful expressions of our local terrroir will appear on their tasting list. Saperavi, hear of it? Yes? No? Go here now either way. Also taking excellent precautions with our current situation, very safe, still exceptional quality, still very special!!

Celebrating the wine tour 11/3/23. As cabinet members of Wiemer Winery as we entered Standing Stone at 4:30 pm for a wine tasting, the staff informed us they close at 5:00 and could not accommodate us for a wine tasting.. We can only purchase glasses of wine. Poor decision on the staff! If the winery closes at 5:00 they surely could have accompanied our party. End result no purchases for that winery! Bad decision on the staff for the owners of the winery!

One of our top visits to a winery in the FLX. Shout out to Julian who gave us a fabulous experience and spent a lot of time educating us. We were lucky to be there on a weekday morning and have the place to ourselves. They have a gorgeous building, stunning views, and great wine. I could have stayed on their deck all day long. Loved it!

Highly recommend. Excellent wines! Fabulous service. Okay it 2020 and I'm sure people want to know how things are now... They are being very safety conscious. Even sanitize the facilities between patrons. The patio is very comfortable with a great view!

Some of the wineries are another stop on the booze cruise, and others rival Napa Valley in quality, service and experience. This is a winery with a beautiful view, a lovely building and fantastic wine. Not to mention staff who know and love the wine. Top 5 in the region, to be sure.

Didn't have a reservation which was ok so we opted to just do a wine bottle glass. Hostess said she would be right back and never came back. Waited for 15 minutes and then decided to leave. Found a bunch of the staff just standing around and leaning on the counters not doing anything. Very disappointed. Felt like we really weren't welcomed at all.

We enjoyed this winery because they have a very good, extremely friendly staff. I'm usually allergic to wines but had no difficulty with theirs because of their unique growing process. Staff talks to you about the growing experience and makes you feel at home, very classy and highly recommended. We had two flights and all were amazing, we'll be back!

Standing Stone is a wonderful winery with beautiful views and great wine! I loved the fireplace! The staff is wonderful also! We had Christine. She spoke highly of their winemaker Fred, and said he was voted winemaker of the year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. She was very knowledgeable about the wine, grapes, soils, and even which grape was planted where in the vineyard! She answered every question I had! I was very impressed! She made our experience a joy, and I’ll definitely be requesting her on our next visit back!

Great views of the lake and excellent wine with a friendly and informative staff! Marty was able to tell us a lot about the different grapes in the area as well as every aspect of the wine they’ve made. Definitely make this a stop if your in the area, you will need to make reservations.

We had our first visit to Standing Stone today and the wine was fabulous. We tasted almost all of their offerings and honestly didn't find one we disliked. We certainly had our favorites, but in our experience with many other vineyards there are usually a few that we just don't like... not here! The building was beautiful. The views were amazing. And Marty made our experience all the better with his recommendations and wealth of knowledge. We'll be back next year for sure!

Loved our experience here. Some delicious wines made as a result of great wine practices (organic, hand sorted grapes). We especially liked the Sparkling Saperavi Rose. It’s owned by Herman J but it had more variety than the parent establishment. They also had a beautiful tasting room. My favorite vineyard in FLX!

I wasn’t expecting much walking into this winery because it seemed very simple compared to others. It was mainly just one large room with 6 tables. I was pleasantly surprised when we were brought to our own personal table and had our own employee , Sandra, giving us a lot of information, regarding the history of the area, the wines and her experiences. She was an older lady, but was so energetic & fun to speak with! She was very funny and I would go again because I know she would make it a great experience! I loved all the wines and she gave us a few extra samples. And bread! Love the bread. After the tasting, they have corks at the check out, so you can take on as a souvenir! They also have a Koi fish pond in the back and let us feed them. The whole experience was wonderful.
