The Ghetto Walmart in every way, the best time to buy toys is right now , stock up for holidays from 11/23 to 11/25 buy 2 toys and get one free. Some it's a certain percentage off etc. To be completely honest though the place here next to Wendy's and Pizza Hut on 9w in Haverstraw the Space inside the store is not utilized appropriately, aisles are very tight, and things are overpriced in some areas . There's nothing here for a dollar, but a balloon is 1.25. It's more like a ghetto Walmart , without the clothes, (which at one time they did have , but they no longer carry clothes / childrens clothing. I used to get pretty decent clothes for my daughter and some bed / house clothes for my wife here ( sweats etc..) but no longer. One more thing, horrible staff has been a consistent revolving door at this place for at least the last 6 years since I moved back to Rockland/ Haverstraw where I grew up. I am 45 years old and have seen the best and the worst of life all over the world. This store needs better management in every way staff, better inventory management, space management, They really could have a great store if they had the right team. It's a location that gets consistent traffic. Right on 9w next to pizza hut , Wendy, taco bell, post office, auto zone , and even a kung Fu martial arts location in this strip mall type . And groceries produce store.

Asia was absolutely amazing. I have been going to Dollar General for many years now and this is the cleanest I’ve ever seen the store. They are very friendly, very professional I highly recommend.

I love this place! You can find almost anything you're looking for at great prices. Aside from the dollar store, where mostly everything is a dollar or less, you have more selections here. Area & bathroom rugs for example. They also have a fridge/freezer case with select foods at great discount prices. Select clothing items are also available. I'm sure I'm leaving things out. As long as you take your time & really sift through all of the available products, you won't be disappointed.

Worse retail store in west haverstraw the so call store manager " kim" lacks all the base requirements of beem a store manager she is rude and have no form of customer service. I went in to buy some sun glasses today 02/22/2020 @ 3:58pm pick up a car charger then choose to leave the car charger and i was told that i have to put back the merchandise since i dont want it if she had ask nicely it wouldn't have been an issue but she was very rude . I am a retail training store manager and i dont treat my customer like this. This store looks like a local dump and this manager only pushing paying customers aways with her lack if basic customer service skills.

Friendly welcoming. Very helpful. Come out of their way to help you find what are you looking for. Many years before used to be very disorganized but I don't know if is under another management but looks more cleaned and very well organized.

I usually go there for water or juice after karate good prices. The store is always in disarray. It looks like they are always fixing but it takes to long. I still have not seen it completely fix to say that I like it. But it is ok.

This store is a mess the shelves are always disheveled the cashiers move at a snail's pace and could care less. I've been to plenty Dollar Generals and honestly this one needs New Management.

This is a typical dollar store where items are not necessarily a dollar but are marked. On this visit things were neat. I was able to ask workers to show me where specific items were and everything i needed was in stock.

It's like every other dollar store around. Got name brands for less then what you pay regularly, has it's own store brand stuff as well. If you're in a pinch budget wise, this place is the spot for you.

I love this place come over the bridge to go there . I think the staff is lovely and the amount of name brand items rule!! wish there was one that is just as good in my area.

Very unprofessional!!!!!! How the manager handled things in the store. There is a manager by the name Bridget a very rude, unprofessional person. That Uses improper language to communicate with her staff that needed help with the cash register not caring about the customer that was right in front of her. HORRIBLE Management !!!!!!!!!

Filthy store ! Inconsiderate rude staff who steals your money then tells you to never come back ! It costs me $20 in cab fare & they switched my receipt & stole my money ! They should be reported !
