This place is a hidden gem! In a very rural location which adds to the charm. Not far from major highways if you’re in the area. They have many different animals to see and a bunch that you can hand feed. Thought it was a nice idea to add the feeding tubes for certain animals. Some animals were not in their enclosures due to the weather but there was plenty to see. Very affordable. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful place!!! Not big, but very nice zoo. We were pleasantly surprised. The animals are in good conditions. The child had the opportunity to touch and feed many animals. Additionally, we chose to feed the penguins. We didn't fully understand how it would be, but it exceeded all our expectations. It was excellent! Not only the child was delighted, but also me and even our grandmother!!!! It was a very positive experience that we will remember for a long time.We have been to many zoos and in San Diego and each one leaves different feelings and memories, but we will definitely remember this one for a long time!Highly recommend! Suitable for any age.If I'm in the area I'll definitely visit again. It was unusual and excellent!Thank you!

We have been to a variety of different zoos over the years and have seen some good ones and some not so good ones. This one is in the top two. The park is clean. The animal pens kept tidy. The people are friendly and the animals are great. We have never been to a park where the animals actually come out to see you. The Arctic Wolf left his spot in the grass to come walk by the glass to be near us. The lions, cheetas, lamas, and capaboros are all the same. You can tell that the staff spend a great deal of time socializing the animals (of course the lettuce, carrots, and feed pellets help). The cost is on the high side, but the experience is priceless.

This was a fun place to spend a couple hours driving through the safari area. The animals certainly seem well cared for and content. We were told to stay in the car. It's a good thing because most of the animals were NOT shy! They come right up to the car, expecting to be fed snacks. In fact, one section felt like a gang because while one big Llama blocked the way, a whole bunch of others encircled the car expecting ALL the snacks! It's a miracle we saved some snacks for the zebra that are at the end of the road!

Nicely designed zoo. We did the walking area, with wide paths & good flow. There are slopes, so you'll be walking up & downhill some. There's a great variety of animals, many that we had never even heard of. The name sign tells you where they're from and their status on the endangered scale. Many will approach you, as they think you're feeding. Lions & tigers & bears, oh my! Sloths & zebras & cheetahs, oh my!You enter through the gift shop where you buy your tickets. You can also buy food for the animals. Most exhibits tell you if you feed from your flat hand or if they don't eat the food. Many have pvc tubes to gravity-feed.The highlight, of course, are the giraffes. There's a platform where you can be eye-to-eye and feed them.On a nice day, 2 hours well spent.

This place is a hidden gem. We were visiting NY for a family vacation and this place was suggested. We had no idea it was there. We assumed since it was kind of off the beaten path that it would be just ok….well we were wrong. The place is absolutely amazing. We have been to some bigger more popular zoos by our home and this has them all beat. It was very clean, the animals appeared to be very well cared for. We also did the drive through at the preserve, which I highly recommend as well. My family had an absolute blast. It is very competitively priced as well. 5 stars!!!!

Well kept park with a nice layout and good variety of animals. You can even feed the giraffes lettuce (you purchase separately). We went for the sloth encounter and hands down was coolest thing ever. We got to hold Puppy the sloth and feed him and the other 2 resident sloths. All the staff were so friendly and you could tell they all really love their jobs. Overall nice atmosphere and fair prices. Definitely a family friendly zo and would highly recommend.

I love this park. It is great for all ages.It is unique from any other zoo or park I’ve ever been to because the animals interact with guests. Many of the animals can be hand fed, and stay engaged. It is also a completely accessible park, even offering quiet places for over stimulated children and adults, and offer nursing mother private spaces.

Was a great time today!! Weather was perfect (I realize no one had control over the weather but it needs to be said). Lots of schools, but everything was great. Giraffes are right up front when you walk in which made visiting them amazing! Staff was great, from the food to watching them keep the walking trails clean. Can't wait to visit again!!

We went to the mother's day celebration here and had a lot of fun. Great variety of animals and the atmosphere is nice. We got a feeding bucket. Because there were hundreds of others here, not many animals were hungry for pellets but they did like the carrots and lettuce! If you go during a large event, I would say you should just get carrots and lettuce

My fiance & I did the capybara encounter yesterday with Mikayla. She was great. The capybaras are very cute & very friendly. They look to be well cared for as all of the other animals do too. Would definitely recommend visiting & doing this encounter. It is worth it!

Animal Adventure Park (AAP) is a gem among many zoos! They let you feed almost all the animals and even allow different encounters. We did the sloth encounter, and this will be in my good memories for the rest of my life! We got to pet and feed these guys right inside where they are living! The Preserve they have is an extension of that. You drive a couple miles course in a wooded area at like 3 mph with your windows down, and the animals come to your window, and you can feed them! You really get to seem like you are in the wild with them. Wonderful experience and, in my opinion, is the hilight of being there!!All staff are also super friendly and helpful with any questions you may have.I highly recommend this place for folks of all ages! You can't go wrong here, and it will give you good memories that will last your lifetime!!!

Me and my family had a wonderful first visit to the park. The facility is very clean, the animals are active and well cared for, the staff is friendly- especially Shari at the giraffe deck. My children loved how up close they could get to the animals- the animals themselves are very engaging and interactive with guests. We will be back again tomorrow!

What a nice establishment! Reasonably priced. We took our 9 month old son here today and he had a wonderful time (2 hour drive) There was no line or wait. They sell feeding pellets and/or lettuce and carrots. All of the animals are very gentle and well tempered. The enclosures are clean and well manicured. The animal enclosures are also generously sized and animals all appear to be well cared for. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are multiple restrooms throughout the park and rest areas with pavilions for shade. There is a nice little air conditioned shed called the cub station that has a bench and changing table. The park seems to be handicap accessible and there are benches everywhere to sit. The gift shop is great and has alot to choose from. We definitely recommend!

We had a great time seeing the animals and feeding the giraffe ; it was a unique experience and was so glad we stopped by to visit ! Thanks to my dear cousin for telling me to go too!!We arrived later in the day on a Tuesday and it was almost empty ; the animals were mostly very close up to us and seemed very people friendly . We only spent about an hour but saw most of the animals because it’s easy to walk and well laid out !( and we arrived tired from all day hiking )The place was clean and well kept ! Keep up the good work !

Loved it. The wait in line was short when we arrived. We purchased the feeding buckets with lettuce, carrots and pellets to feed the animals. The whole atmosphere was totally relaxed. It was spacious and clean. The gift shop was amazing with plenty of affordable items to choose from I picked up my son a tee shirt, stuffed giraffe and rhinoceros. I recommended this place to anyone with children or animal lovers.

We enjoy the preserve experience. Its an excellent option for people with limited mobility. It's a much smaller variety of animals, divided into 4 themes. We bought advanced tickets and souvenir cups for our kids. Save a BIG leaf for the giraffes at the end. There are a couple of pulls offs if you don't want to rush. 3 miles long and about an hour of time. You must stay in the car but the animals are pretty friendly and come up to the windows.Overall my only con would have been the price. 2 cars, 9 people, 5 cups of romaine $183. Kind of Steep for the small variety of animals BUT again for special needs or limited mobility this is 100% worth it.

It was nice the lights looked beautiful, the grinch was great. Animals are fat & the hairy Buffalo thingy stinks like poo but overall a good experience & the animals look well cared for. Park is well kept.

Feeding the animals is great. I dont know of another zoo that lets you touch and feed so many animals. It's also worth it to pay extra and feed the birds in the bird room. I can only imagine what the encounter things are like. We have a 3 hour drive to get there and we still bought season passes for the family during their jungle bells things over Christmas. Best hands on zoo I have ever been too. Looking forward to their safari. It should be opening soon....

We had an AMAZING trip here! Several years ago my wife learned of this place and was hooked on watching the webcams with April the Giraffe. I knew one day I would like to take her here. Just so happened that we had a trip planned to Watkins Glenn State park and it was only 1 & 1/2 hour trip to this park. The park is really in the middle of nowhere, but easy to get to. We got to the park shortly after they opened, they had plenty of parking area. We got to see the Giraffes up close in personal. That was amazing. There were lots of baby animals in the park. We spent about 2 & 1/2 hours at the park which I thought was a good amount of time. My wife and I enjoyed the park and were happy with all the animal exhibits. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and they told us they are working on a Drive through Safari park across the road, but it wasn't open yet during our visit.
