Couldn't believe so many negative posts relating to prices - though I do realize some of the prices are much higher than other stores, the Ground beef on sale has always held my interest and would purchase from there rather than anywhere else especially with the 299 sale on.Prices are going up everywhere the important thing now is quality.I got some ground beef from another store that literally had a urine smell to it!Sales are all we always pretty good.

Met one nice employee who told me about the discounted areas in almost every department. When they are available or when I can find them that helps to ever so slightly alleviate the audaciously high prices on everything else in the store. If time wasnt a factor it literally would be cheaper to drive a turbo diesel dually the extra 50 miles round trip to shop at Aldis or Wegmans in Binghamton a few times a week rather than Tops of Hancock. Also I second a previous reviewer about big farm sourced products. No local No loyalty Tops owners are Losers.

I would have had a great experience if the cashier, who acted annoyed that she had to open her register, wasn’t so rude. Sorry she had to work today, sorry I shopped at that store and happily will not be returning. Happy Sunday!

I go in this store multiple times in a week to buy supplies and groceries for my job. I am always greeted by name and asked how I am doing and how my family is. At this store it is clean and things are well stocked, and let’s not forget the savings sheesh… amazing deals and prices. Only downfall from this past week is the butcher had decided to not come into work so TOPS meat selection was very very limited. But other than that…. Always a great experience when my wife and I visit.

Most of these reviews have to be fake, it's a garbage store that charges too much for trash food. None of this comes from neighborhood farms it comes from big farms that pay immigrants as little as they can get away with.

Such a great store for such a small town! As out-of-towners, we were just trying to pick up regular groceries for our vacation and we were able to find everything we needed. They have an incredible selection, accommodating different dietary restrictions, for such a small space.

My wife and I moved nearby recently and have been here quite a few times so far. Decent prices and selection, my problem is with the staff. Particularly the deli counter. The older woman that is usually there has been extremely rude every time we've stopped in. If you truly hate your job so much maybe you should quit instead of taking it out on the customers. The cashiers aren't a whole lot better, but she is by far the most miserable person I've ever encountered.

Expensive, but unfortunately only game in town. You have to be diligent and check dates, and worry after power outages. Got home with hot dogs once and date was good. But after opening they were all slimey. There was just a recent power outage. Wasn't worth 20 mile trip back.

TOPS. The worse supermarket ever. The workers are the bottom feeders of society. 1 specifically has a garbage attitude along with the management. They should close that garbage supermarket for good. Not to mention half the stuff is expired. The town don’t need them, we have the Dollar Store.

We have shopped at hancock ny ever since it has been there but today is it for me. I t started out badly when the automatic door closed with me in it. I am somewhat handicap ped but this never happened before. As i was waiting for my husband at the front door one of the important employees entered and acted like i wasnt even there.i was in customer service for over 44 years and i nevered ignored a customer .i have had issues with her before. Another checker i,ve had issues with ie she pulled a customer from the other line and as i am waiting in her line and checked him first. Nice looking young man maybe that had something to do with it. I can not understand her and she gets annoyed. Too bad asi am 81 years old and i do not plan to learn another langauge now. So over and out

Every time in go to Tops something isn't there, stock is low or the produce is bad. I purchased chicken and there was only the large family pack or chicken tenders. I just wanted a small package of chicken breast, maybe two at the most. I needed roma tomatoes, there were about 1/2 a dozen and very over ripe, close to rotten. Last week I bought a watermelon and it was bad, mostly rotten which I ended up throwing out. All the other small town grocery stores seem to be much better. I avoid Tops and try to shop elsewhere whenever I can.

They sell spoiled milk and think it's ok because they put a yellow discounted sticker on it. More then 3 times this has happened to me and I called and complained they did offer me a refund but I'd rather pay full price for good milk. They neglected to remove the milk from the cooler and 2 days later all that milk with the discounted stickers which was now a day past its experation date was still on the shelves. Also anytime I've bought baked goods in there I've found a hair in it. Over priced, poor selection. Cashiers are friendly so 1 star. Only game in town so kinda stuck with them. I do like that they enforce the mask mandate.

Tops food market is has the most precious meats and vegetables all organic right from neighboring farms do stop in there and grab yourself a cooler full of a variety of beer wine veggies and have a picnic on the Delaware River here in Hancock New York yo there's a plaza right down the road across the road actually and it's a beautiful place to have a nice picnic and a family place to bring your children and a safe place too

Purchased ice cream there last night. Got it home and found it completely melted. Took it back and cashier said no refunds because of covid. Checked other items in freezers and found they were all thawed as well. Told the cashier this. She said the freezers had stopped working and they had to remove all the frozen items during repairs. THEN THEY PUT ALL THE THAWED FOOD BACK IN THE FREEZER. They are knowingly selling spoiled, thawed food to their customers and refusing to give refunds! Zero stars! Reported to department of health.

This is the local supermarket in Hancock and they do carry gluten free items. They just redid the produce section and offer more variety of fruits and produce.

The store was clean and packed shelves, a sanitization station to wipe down your shopping carts, but they don't carry a wide variety of things as the big box stores do.

I like how they raise prices/ stop sales when they know out of towners will be shopping. Make them pay high taxes to service the town, charge em more for food too, why not

VERY expensive to shop here. We only patronize this store for emergency purchases. You should always check expiration dates. I sympathize with local people who have no other choice.
