Stayed at the Hancock House Hotel for one evening during a motorcycle trip to see the foliage in the Catskills. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, water pressure was good, and the shower water was nice and hot. The room also had enough outlets and USB ports to charge devices. The only nitpick I had was the furniture was a little dated and looked worn. The room rate was $155 ($170 with taxes). We also ate in the bar for dinner. I had a bacon cheeseburger that was delicious (cooked to perfection and quality beef). We also had breakfast in the restaurant although breakfast is not complimentary. The attached pictures we took at sunrise. All in all, a very nice stay and the foliage in that area was just stunning the days we were there.

We love the Hancock House Hotel and it is always a "must stop (or stay)" when we are in the area.My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night. We sat at a high top in the bar and had wonderful service from Sheri. (They also have dining room seating in their beautiful dining room) The food was OUTSTANDING. I had the meatloaf dinner, and it was so fresh it was falling off the fork. My wife had the pot roast and raved about it as well.Highly recommended!

Tried to have dinner in the bar area. They were kind of busy. We sat at the bar which had all kinds of beer bottles, glasses and dirty dishes left on the bar. There was a waitress handling the tables and booths and one bartender who seem to be working in low gear or slow motion. Understanding that it was kind of busy, we sat patiently and waited for the bartender to first of all clear the dishes from the bar, but also to wait on us. We waited at least 10 minutes, maybe a little longer, as she struggled to pour a draft beer and four sodas. She never even acknowledged that we were there waiting. I don’t believe she even walked around the to other side of the bar to see if any of the other customers needed anything. A guy came in after us and sat a few chairs down and she waited on him and poured him a drink. At that point we decided to leave because it had been at least 10 minutes and nobody had even acknowledged we were there to let us know that they would be with us shortly or anything at all. Very disappointed. I am not planning on going back there.

Had lunch here, outstanding soup. Hand cut French fries were less than desirable. Greasy, soft and cold. Soup I will do again but not the fries.Also this meal was in the tavern not the dining room.Food & drinks: Stopped for lunch only.

I went to the buffet breakfast for mothers day. I brought my mother and her friend, Upon arrival we were not greeted. I had to clean off our table to sit down because where my mother wanted to sit wasnt clean and after waiting for someone to come cleIan it I finally did it myself, I had to ask the waitress to wait on us it was obvious they were under staffed or the waitress was inexperienced, I had to get silverware and napkins for our table because the bus girl was busy doing other tables with no one sitting at them,,, lol. The food was cold and the French toast looked like bread pudding. I tipped the waitress very well upon leaving because she was friendly and sympathetic. The place is beautiful and very large, I would go back again to give it another try because the waitress and bus girl were very sweet and I think it was just a bad day for them,,, and the place is gorgeous it's breath taking with that country feeling,,, my suggestion would be to make French toast with whole slices of bread instead of pieces, don't put so much out at once, (so it stays warm or keep a lid on it) make some sausage biscuits with gravy to go with your country theme, and hire more staff for such occasions,

We are local but had a power outage so we stayed for a night. Check in was simple, they gave us a mini fridge, room was a good size with a nice balcony overlooking the road. The room was updated and clean, shower was great. The beds were a bit "springy" and could use an upgrade but everything else was so good we can overlook that! We ate at the pub and restaurant several times over the course of 4 days because that's how long the power outage affected our house, and every meal we had was great (at breakfast they cooked my corned beef hash perfectly!) Bread and rolls are apparently made by a bakery and are definitely a cut above what you would usually find in a restaurant. We met the owners and they were really welcoming, funny people who clearly work hard (they were there every day). We were very comfortable there, and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Relatively small but very diverse menu. The atmosphere was wonderful. Their burger was, very possibly, the best I've ever had. I mean the BEST I've ever EVER had. Ii ordered MR and it was done to perfection. I asked for my fries to be done just a bit longer than normal. (I like the crispiest). The fries came out PERFECT. We had boneless buffalo chicken nuggets. Crunchy & again, perfect. This place was so good I ordered a chicken salad sandwich to take home for my supper. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. A restaurant that will be remembered so we may visit again during our travels.

Very nice hotel. Restaurant and bar were great.The rooms need some attention. Room doors stick and the keys need to be jiggled to work the door locks. The TVs in the rooms are very small and from the 90s. Our bed had a ditch down the center. Half the wall switches work nothing. Low water pressure makes for a longer, harder to get clean, shower.I recommend this place but for what they get a night it could be better.

My husband and I were taking a motorcycle ride and decided to stop in for lunch. Even though a reunion was present they sat us further back and the waitress was very attentive. My husband had the chef salad and it was HUGE!! I had the chicken wrap and it was more than filling! They were absolutely delicious! I told my daughter I am bringing her out here because it will be a beautiful drive in the Fall. If you get a chance to stop in; do it. Berni Malek

The service was nice and the hotel is nice but the room had some issues, tub was still filled with water and whatever cleaning agent they were using, the person at the front desk was nice enough to come back and clean it and also replenish the towels properly. They had left opened cans around the room. Breakfast was alright, the avocado toast was not good, the avocado was not ripe it was extremely hard. I asked to see if we could get a late check out and the person at the front desk had a very bad attitude.

Very charming , everything I was looking for and this place made it happen my family and I came for a wedding and we had a great time staying here this isn't the major hotel chane and that what we didn't want , we wanted a family owned business with a rustic and authentic feel with old world patina and this was it hit all the marks , also to note the have a lovely dining area that served amazing food especially the breakfast. I thank u for your hospitality and I have over 20 yrs of it you guys rock we will definitely return we all thx u for having us as gust at the lovely Honcock House Hotel. Now ppl let's get one thing start it takes alot for me to write a review and this isn't marked at a 5 star hotel but let me tell you this hotel holds a 5 star rating and has all the hallmarks of a 5 star serve and one other special thing that a 5 star chain can not give was the owners where there and helped my family directly wow now that touched me profoundly 5 stars the service and experience is exactly what we wanted .. thx u see u soon

overpriced. Service was trash. Got seated and finally got a menu after 20 minutes. Wasn't that busy. Got the special. Plus had to pay extra for fries? Special was not good, fell apart, fries underdone tasted cold in the middle. Waitress talking to sitter for her dog before noticed me standing. Then talked to mother about her kids for 10 minutes. After seated was having loud argument with boss in the dining room. Took 10 minutes just to get a diet coke. Like wow. Never again.

Super clean, staff is friendly. Accommodating. The rooms are good size, I suggest the balcony room..just a unique compliment to your room. It's not the most modern place to spend your night, but the country ,home sweet home decor creates a memorable stay. Highly recommend!!

I went here the other night for dinner and it was fantastic. The service was great and the food was delicious. Homemade meatloaf and a pot roast dinner. Also had a garden salad with grilled chicken, house made potato chips, beef vegetable soup and a side of sweet potato fries. The price was very good and the menu was large. They have a nice bar and hotel. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dinner with large portions and a great fair price. Loved the food and will definitely come back.

I live in Syracuse NY however I traveled from Stormville NY in which is about 3.5 hours away from home. On the way back I became exhausted & thought it would be best “safe” to find a room & do the remainder of my drive the following morning. The next exit brung me to Hancock very small town in which I was super skeptical about. I googled hotels near & the Hancock House Hotel popped up. Prior to checking in I stopped a the local convince store & asked residents for reviews. Everyone was super nice. I decided to go ahead & check in again still skeptical the lovely women & guy at the front desk were super welcoming. I immediately felt great energy. The hotel is not set up like a “Holiday Inn” however once I entered my room with an actually key I was amazed. My room was so “homey” (if that’s even a word). Warm, comfortable, super clean & just really relaxing. I slept soooooo well the next morning I dreaded waking up to leave. I would def recommend this hotel to anyone. Alsooooo There’s a bar/restaurant on the main floo, a tops(grocery store), Chinese restaurant, Italian restaurant, liquor store, gas station etc within walking distance. I parked in free parking lot. No issues.Thank you all ❤️#God bless

They used to have really good bone in wings, but they don't serve them anymore. Understandable due to the shortage, but the burger I had instead was just nasty, overcooked and not quite hot. The Fox news playing at the bar didn't make my last visit any more pleasant either. This place was a staple of my upper Delaware trips, but I won't be returning unless they bring wings back and it's nice enough to sit outside.

The food was wonderful, the wait staff was friendly, it’s a diamond in the rough.The pulled pork on garlic Texas toast was large and very tasty. Love their homemade bbq sauce (not sweet).Also try the shrimp and grits, it’s fantastic.

We had a balcony room with a great view of the Delaware River. The pillows are a little small though, and the beds are a bit small if you're sharing with another person. If you're visiting family in Hancock, it is right in the middle of town.Food & drinks: Nice breakfast place, The Maple House, on site.

We have only moved to Hancock in June and this was our first visit with my daughter and grandchildren from New Jersey. Loved the children's menu. Our food was fabulous! The beef ribs just fell off the bone! So tender! We will definitely be back there!
