There was a time I wouldn't step foot in this place because the employees were rude and the place was filthy (that's on mostly dog owners but obviously the dog poop and pee were left there to dry). Well I want to say I went there on 11/22/23 for some reason and the two gentlemen (manager and cashier) were the nicest and most helpful! They were both there this evening (11/29/23) and I received the same courteous service! The store was immaculate and I will be back! Seems as though people complained and management listened!

Associate was extremely helpful and gave me alot of info I needed to help my cat who is old and sadly has been diagnosed with leukemia...she guided me to where I could find food he could eat, or help him. She even gave me info for other places to go to help my cat. I don't remember her name but she was very nice helpful and I would choose this location over there Riverhead one anyday just for the customer service. Pricing isn't too high, nice size store. 5 stats

Came to buy some dog food and parrot food. The store was a little under construction but well-kempt and clean. All shelves were tidy and orderly and everything was easy to find. The gentleman who rang me up was very kind and pleasant. He was quick and friendly. Overall a great Petco visit.

An extra star for friendliness of the staff who are always smiling and willing to help. However despite the smiles they managed to butcher Brownie’s grooming appointment and poor puppy was skinned to the point that he was bleeding in a few spots.This is the first time in this dog life he was treated like a peace of meat - literally like a dog brought for slaughter. Rachel was his technicians and while she apologized for skinning the puppy, the apology did not compensate for the emotional and physical trauma of the pet and his owners:((

My dog utz went today today for the 1st time to have a bath and his nails trimmed. Kristina did a great job. She was very sweet and understanding because utz doesn't like other dogs.she reassured me that everything would be ok. Utz looked so beautiful when I came to pick him up. His coat was soft,shiny he smelled so good.. I received a 25 percent off coupon because it was his first time there. I recommend you take your fur babies to see Kristina.

The groomers at Petco in Hampton Bays are amazing. Specifically Nick. He was so kind and patient with my 8 month old puppy, who is very nervous at the groomers. He took the time to get him comfortable in the space and never made us feel bad. They do a wonderful job and we are always so happy with how our puppy looks after his grooming. I highly recommend booking Nick in Hampton Bays for your dogs next grooming!

We have been going to Petco in Hampton Bays for a couple of years. We had gone to get supplies for our cat and found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. Then we got a puppy and boy oh boy do we send time In the store - from Training ( Anna is an awesome trainer and taught us as much as she taught our puppy)- We have had consistently great experiences. This week we had a less than positive experience when I asked a question to the gentleman who checked our order out at the register ( we had not seen him before) when he did not know the answer he just said that he literally didn’t know I gently provided an example of a similar experience and that outcome (that directly applied to the question I asked) I was again told he had literally no idea ( and demonstrated no interest in seeking the answer)- this is not a typical exchange so I will hope this helps provide a learning opportunity for him. I hope this what I believe to be new employee finds his way as there is a great team in the Hampton Bays Petco - and from a customer point of view ..looks like a really nice place to work and they provide pets and pet parents with a great experience.

Will never spend a dime with petco after the way they treat their employees. No one should be treated like garbage especially when they have bent over backwards for this company. Hampton Bays store lost probably thier best employee today.Good luck finding someone to fill her shoes.

Went to pick out some cat accessories for a 30in crate...was getting a little overwhelmed and along came Angie...she was delightful and helpful. There were some things I could have gotten at the Riverhead store, however, this was so much closer and I would like this store to remain open. Had a productive experience and enjoyed the service.

Today we decided to take our Pug Ruby in for a spa day. Best decision ever!!! Rachel and the others were super welcoming and helpful, not to mention how great they were to Ruby. I've honestly never seen Ruby so happy after getting a bath and a nail trim, the blueberry facial is a must as well, left her face so soft and clean. As I mentioned before, Ruby came out super happy which made us super happy as well!!! Would give it more than 5 stars if could!!! Thanks Rachel and the awesome Petco Team for being so awesome!!!

I can’t say enough good things about the dog grooming at this location! Rachel was kind, patient and loving with my dog, Patches. He’s 12 and shakes now all the time. He was calm and relaxed when I picked him up from his grooming appointment and did I mention that he looks amazing!! I travel almost 200 miles for Rachel to groom Patches!!! Worth every mile. Thanks again for another great grooming!!!

They are prejudice here and like to follow black and Asian people around the store. Even after they see you buy alot, they never say thank you, or even helllo when you enter the store.. I am never going back there. They should change the entire staff here, or close this location. This is not the way customers who spend their money should feel because they were born black or Asian...

Alexa has been grooming my dogs for a few years. They always look great when they get home. While I am there I pick up a few supplies. Easy to find and the cashiers are very nice.

You have to book your appointment in advance right now because they only have one groomer at the moment, (Concetta, who is who is amazing) and there is a significant influx of people on the east end because of covid they are backed up. Not sure why there only is one groomer right now but Concetta is the best anyways and the dogs are treated with respect which is important.
