Had a reservation for a 2 night stay. Owner was very accommodating to extend to 3 nights and were able to stay in same room. We have stayed here a number of times over the years with a number of owners. New owners have opened up the breakfast area to include tables. This was a welcome addition instead of eating in your room. The inn is not fancy, but room was very large and well maintained. The room was also very clean. I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Very cozy hotel/motel operated by the sweetest woman. The rooms were classic but well maintained, tall wood ceilings in the rooms. Beds were comfortable. Free breakfast in the morning and a sweet little book nook even. Nestled in the hills 4 minutes outside hammondsport so nice and quiet but close to everything. Very reasonable rates, we would come again!

We stayed with friends, they had a king standard room which was updated. Our whirlpool suite was spacious. The owner is great! She was very knowledgeable about the area and always making sure that everything was OK.You are only 5 minutes from the village of Hammondsport and most of the better area wineries are at maximum 20 minutes away.

5 minute drive to the lake. Owner was a precious woman who was so sweet. The rooms were spotless! Trust me I look for dirt. The patio out front has small out door fires. Very very quiet! If you are in the region definitely book a stay. It is very close to all the wineries, state parks, and attractions that the finger lakes has to offer. We will definitely be back to this hotel again when adventuring in the region.Rooms: Very clean and tidy

The room was clean for the most part. I ended up killing 12 spiders Friday and Sat. morning. I spoke to a very nice woman from the desk and asked her if when the room was serviced could the rest of the spiders that were in the bathroom be cleaned out. She was very apologetic and said yes. When we got back to the room after it was serviced the spiders were still in the bathroom. I killeda few more and couldn't wait to get out if there Sunday morning.

Verily, my sojourn at VineHurst Inn and Suites in the charming hamlet of Hammondsport, New York, hath left me with a tale of mixed fortunes, akin to a Shakespearean play unfolding upon its stage. The abode provided me with a capacious chamber, adorned with modern comforts such as a microwave and petite fridge, whilst an enchanted wand (remote control) bestowed upon me dominion over the air conditioner's tempestuous airs. The surrounding grounds, tended with care akin to a royal garden, didst exude an air of tranquility. The goodly folk who tended to my needs were, indeed, affable and welcoming, making me feel as if I were a knight of the Round Table.Yet, in the annals of my stay, a lamentable melody doth arise. The morning repast, though graced with continental fare, did not rise to heights of culinary splendor, leaving a taste of mediocrity upon my palate. Moreover, the appointed hour of breakfast's emergence oft saw a tardy arrival, making it nigh impossible to partake ere my ventures. The chambers, though well-appointed, held an arcane quirk: a plea must be made to the keepers if one wished for room's refreshment or a bounty of towels, for the ritual of daily checking was not observed.Alas, a tenant did I find within the recesses of my shower—a spider, wise in its silence and steadfast in its watchfulness. A curious design choice did place the furnace upon a chamber's wall, thereby creating a portal betwixt the bedroom and the chamber of ablution. Through its lattice, one could glimpse into the privy confines, a sight perhaps disconcerting to some, though in solitude I abode. Thus, my five days in this tapestry of lodging were not fraught with dread, yet my heart doth incline towards seeking different lodgings ere a return. Though not a lamentable experience, the dice of destiny shall be cast elsewhere, in search of a new chapter in mine odyssey.

We were a party of 3 families visiting the finger lakes area for the long weekend. We chose this place for a 3 night stay after a friend who referred us to this place and shared their great experience here. I am glad we chose this place. Super friendly and helpful owners and staff. They serve complementary breakfast. This place is located in a very nice area with broad clear skies that we were able to do with some bare eye stars and planet gazing. Beautifully maintained Inn with very nice people. They have a gas-powered camp fire set up and a complimentary gas grill, if you want to do some grill fun with friends and family. Our kids had great fun running around. They have done some great landscaping job as well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Very safe, calm atmosphere without any noise and some of the rooms you get a balcony as well!!!Overall very happy with our stay here and won't hesitate more of our friends visiting this area to choose this place for their stay!

The outside is vintage. The rooms are up to date and adorable. We had the king suite. If you can, do it. Get the jetted tub. It's clean. It's relaxing. The owners are so friendly you would invite them to dinner. Will stay again!!!!!!Nearby activities: So many wineries!!!Food & drinks: Try Timber Stone and Grill.

Excellent value. Very attentive and friendly family staff. Rooms are spotless. The property has a spacious lawn in back lawn and looks out on pretty hills. Some may feel this 70s-era motel needs a makeover. But, if you love the sort of retro motor lodges that the B52's Kate Pierson has collected, you'll dig the rooms' high chalet ceilings and geometric pastels.

Loved this roadside motel. Adorable couple run it. The rooms are all different, not cookie cutter. Spotless bathroom and nice clean bedding. Very nice pergola covered outside sitting area with fire pits for guests. Perfect continental breakfast with tables to sit at. Even had a book nook (leave a book, take a book). Would stay again!

This is a charming small older motel. It is independantly run by a husband and wife who are adorable. The place is quiet and clean. The owners said every room is different from the next. Looked like fresh paint, no scratches, ac in great working order. The stay exceeded expectations. I would strongly recommend.

We reserved a room for 3 nights after cancelling our camping reservations because it was supposed to storm all 3 days. Sure enough it did. When I first arrived I went to check in and after waiting almost 15 min, I had to ring the bell on the door a second time to get the owner to come to the desk. Not very welcoming. The room was clean and good sized. They provided a coffeemaker, microwave, and a fridge. It's in a pretty nice spot on Rt 54, aside from the traffic noise. It was fairly quiet too even though the inn was full. But after all of the rain, we wanted to just go home after the second night. I know from experience most hotels do not have to refund people if they choose to leave early. It seems they decide on a case by case basis. The owner took no time in telling me there will not be a refund, and its our choice to leave. I understand what he said, but I was hoping he would go outside the box and give me a refund. You know, it tends to go a long way when you make customers happy. And this comes from someone in the retail industry for over 30 yrs. So after being disappointed, we will not stay there again, and I personally will not recommend this business.

Cute little hotel just outside of Hammondsport. My friend and I were in town for a concert at Point of the Bluff and we stayed in at Vinehurst. The room was clean, reasonable and comfortable and the owner, Nita, was very accommodating and charming. They offer a light breakfast for free with a night. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

Rooms were nice. Manager was very nice and helpful. Handicap access was very good. Breakfast was nice with plenty of food choices. The only problem was with an electric circuit that kept going out. The manager did try to get an electrician to come fix it, but it didn't happen in time for our end of stay. We were given access to the office refrigerator and microwave as a remedy.

We stayed here for two nights and had a pleasant experience. The location is great with proximity to the main attractions. The hotel is a bit outdated but charming and well maintained, offers almost everything a tourist might need. They don't have laundry so if you need it be prepared to travel to the village.Owners are great - friendly and kindhearted, ready to answer your question and fulfill your needs. We’ll come back here - there are so many destinations to explore in this region and feel home away from home.

Hello, just wanted to share my feelings on this hotel. First off, the staff was amazing from beginning to end. They even shipped my sunglasses home which I had forgotten in my room. Now onto the room itself; it was the freshest smelling room ever. It was very clean! Sheets, and pillows smelled like they just came out of the wash. I highly recommend this hotel!

Recently, we took our second trip to hammondsport New York. We enjoyed the first visit so much, that we decided to go back. We stayed at the Vinehurst Inns and Suites and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. When we decided to go back, we decided to stay there again. The owners Ion and Lily are very kind, friendly, pleasant and very accommodating. They make you feel like you're at home. Unlike the big chain hotels, The Vinehurst is so much more personal. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Good Breakfast, exceeded expectations in every respect. New, modern furniture, kitchen, bathroom. Very pleasant personal service, exceeds a chain hotel. Dealing with the owner makes a difference. Personal handshake when we left. We will stay here again!

EXCELLENT , EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!! Vinehurst Inn was a gem of a find for our wine tour this past weekend. The mother/daughter owners were so delightful, funny, and beyond accommodating!! The inn is gorgeous, and yet very quaint, and I truly felt like we were staying with long-lost relatives. Complimentary refreshments are offered in the lobby throughout the day, as well as a light breakfast in the morning. The room was comfortable and we loved our little balcony to sit and enjoy the scenery!! The Inn is also located very near several wineries which offer breathtaking views!! The staff gave great reccomendations of sites and restaurants to visit, and in the evening, there is a beautiful lit area, with comfortable seating to sit and talk to other guests. We will definitely be back for a return trip, and I highly recommend this place for travelers. Thank you ladies for providing a relaxing weekend of fun. Sincerely, Kristine K.

Great staff. The woman that either owns or runs the inn was super friendly. She made sure you had what you needed at breakfast and in the evening. They had fresh popped popcorn in the evening. A nice breakfast in the morning: yogurt, muffins, oranges, apples, bananas, hard boiled eggs, waffles, cereal, homemade bread (blueberry & lemon when we stayed), coffee, juice, tea, and water. The breakfast room only had two small tables for two (seating for 4 total), but we took our food to our room. It was nice out so others ate outside under the pergola in the seating there. The rooms were nice size and clean. Plenty of towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. Mini-Refrigerator and microwave in our room (two double beds). I would stay there again. We went to Watkins Glen and Ithaca our first day and Letchworth our second day. This place was right between at a great price!
