The views, the bar, the food! Our party ended our tour of the area with dinner and drinks at The Switzerland Inn. From prime rib, to homemade mac & cheese, to seafood, this place had it all....with a BEAUTIFUL view of the lake in the background. We really enjoyed our dinner here after a long day of tastings in the area. Relaxing with friends and drinks reminiscing about the area was a highlight of our visit.Nearby activities: Wineries, breweries, distilleries

Staff very friendly and great timeliness of service. Food was decent, but very much appreciated the variety of options available on the menu. Including the variety of the drink list and dessert menus as well! Recommend the bang bang shrimp as an app. Beautiful views of the lake as it is right on the water. Good seating with views both inside and definitely outside. Great stop after a day of visiting the wineries!

The Switzerland Inn is a very nice place along a beautiful lake . We were traveling through NY, and we were staying in Hamansport. We needed a place to eat, and the Switzerland Inn was the suggestion. We are so glad we did. It wasn't too far out of the way either. Not only was the food and the staff nice, the view was fantastic.

$19 for mushy spaghetti with microwaved meatballs. I get that the main offerings on the menu are seafood but if you can't make a decent spaghetti and meatball entree for the non seafood eaters, don't even offer it let alone charge so much for it! My friend ordered a salmon dish and enjoyed it but my spaghetti was mushy and the meatballs were half rock hard and the other half just gross. They were clearly over microwaved. See photo below of the meatball cut in half. You can see in the photo how bad it was. I did let the waiter know and he apologized but that was it. The server was very nice and did a great job. He was just young and probably not trained on how to handle a food complaint. I will probably return but not for food. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly.Parking: Adequate parking

Wings with a side of health code violations.I wanted to enjoy this place, I really did. the location is amazing and I have driven past it many times. Wish I had kept driving past it.I ordered multiple appetizers and a steak with a salad. When my wings came out an army of gnats came with them. They were literally crawling out from under the wings.The waitress apologized and told me that “it was just that time of year and that there was nothing they could do.” I kindly responded that due to my twenty years plus years as a chef I knew there was nothing she could do but that her manager needed to hire an exterminator. Over the next hour I swatted bugs away from my food and with each course more came. My salad was crawling with them. The sauce on the scallops did a good job of catching them. Those black dots in the pic are not pepper specks, those are bugs.All I could think about through my very unpleasant time here were the conditions that must exist in the kitchen for an infestation of that magnitude to be present.Now I mentioned the bugs to the server and during the course of my meal every member of the kitchen walked out to see who had complained. Two of them were wearing sleeveless shirts with the armpits cut out to the belt line. That is not only disgusting and dirty but a blatant health code violation. Kitchen staff can not wear sleeveless shirts while preparing food for the public. As I left I noted that the kitchen door was wide open. It had a screen but that is no good if it’s propped open. Once again a violation and also how the flies got there in the first place. Furthermore it’s the very first thing people see when they walk in.To the owners. Check your management staff. They are failing you. How do you get rid of flies? Start by closing your kitchen for a day. Bring the entire staff in for a deep clean. Pull out all the equipment in the kitchen and bleach/scrub every inch of every surface. Eliminate all standing water. Hire an exterminator. At your price point you can afford it and it’s appalling that conditions are as they are. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Stopped for a cocktail before boating then after a great day boating had a very good dinner (and another cocktail). Not sure if it was the food, drink or atmosphere and view but we really enjoyed our stop at the Switz.

Lake setting, it can get cold if your sitting outside on the deck, have a sweater or light jacket handy, but if you enjoy sunset, bring a date or family and friends. Meals are big portions and have a bar upstairs, it can get loud but hip restaurant and big menu listing, if your hungry have an empty stomach, i had a bowl of clam chowder with corn, very good size bowl. The only negative that i witness is those darn bugs flying annoying!

Been coming to Keuka lake and the Switz for years, both by boat and car, and have always had a good time. Servers have always been pleasant and attentive, even when very busy. My wife likes the calamari salad; I've had a lot of menu items and have never had any issues (maybe I'm lucky). Sometimes out on the deck during summer the sun can be intense, and the table umbrellas can't cover everyone, but hey, its summer. Being able to sit outside, have a good meal and cold beer, and enjoy the lake and relax is the main draw for us. Often there is live music on the weekends.

My son is the chef so I know how the food is being cooked and that the kitchen is cleaned all the time.He seems to have a good staff under him that understand how a team should work The front of house has very good manors to the customers I value in a wait staff Excellent beautiful sunsets on the patio if you haven't been there please take time to check it out and enjoy

Amazing food! Best choices whether you’re boating all day or just hanging out at a local restaurant. Drinks aren’t the greatest but they have a wide variety. The service does suck, which is why they get 4 stars and not 5. But if you have extra time to sit around and you’re looking for good ambiance and food, come here! 10/10 I recommend their bbq pulled pork nachos.

Fun place, live music was great for dinner and liveliness. Service was good but busy, and a bit absent-minded- never did get our requested second drink. The rolls/ bread never showed up due to some snafu in the kitchen. The horseradish encrusted salmon was phenomenal, the crab cakes were delicious and huge. I will definitely be back on a less congested day.

We had not been to the Switz for several years, and found that it has been improved in that time. We were part of a very large group and were seated outside. A small came down the lake just as the food was coming out and the staff was very gracious in setting up for us inside. The food was very good (I quite enjoyed my pesto chicken sandwich) with generous portions. We will be back!

The food and service was pretty good, but the price point was high...and they charge this extra tax (its not a gratuity fee, I asked) and they told us when we asked that basically we shouldve read the fine print. It was just OK. Make sure u check that fine print though !

I had an incredible time! One of the beat burgers i ever had in my life. Our server was a sweetheart! She listened very carefully to my oder and preferences and went above and beyond! And the view is spectacular. I love that you can boat there if you wanted to, they have a very large doc for guests. And the life music was an unexpected treat! I see what the big deal was about! They also have a lot of gf options. I can’t wait to come back and try more food!
