This grocery store is a great little store. The butcher cuts steaks the size that steaks should be cut, there’s a great selection of specialty items, local produce and products.

It’s a cute little store with many good things but I’m giving the store 1 star because of the obnoxious meat department person. I asked him if he could break down a package of chicken for me that was 1 1/2 pounds because I only needed less than 3/4 of a pound. His comment along with a nasty look was “Oh Seriously” he picked up the package of chicken but then shoved it back on the shelf and gave me yet another nasty look. What an ________… you fill in the blank.

You will be pleasantly surprised at the inventory given the size of the store. A local gem. Not one but TWO types of oat milk specifically for lattes - yep! Whether you’re stopping in once a day deciding what to cook for dinner (that’s me!) or stocking up for a week at the lake, they’ve got you covered. Oh and the cheese selection! We particularly enjoy the filet mignon (try it with the asparagus and super easy risotto they also stock, you can’t go wrong). Our kids enjoy the fresh baked goods and local sweet corn in the summer.

I understand it’s a small town store. But why are prices so high? We also visit other small town stores (as they are normally owned by locals) and prices are more inline with huge national stores. This store hasn’t been updated in years except the front door.

A great little grocery store. We were renting a house in town for a few days and stopped in to get some essentials. I wasn't expecting much but the selection was quite nice. We picked up some fantastic rib eye steaks, some nice cheeses and found some great items among the beer and wine selections. Overall the prices were quite reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Typical convenient store with typical convenient store prices. The person who checked me out was very pleasant. I would've like to see more fresh fruit and veggies for sale, as well as fresh pastries, although I am not sure where they would get them from as I didn't see a local bakery in the area. Also, there were quite a few items that were out of stock as you could see the empty counter space. This was disappointing because I wanted to purchase a few of them. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Love this store! They have cilantro and artisan cheeses and great variety of beer! The staff is wonderful. Warm and friendly. We are blessed.

Worked here over 20 years ago and still roughly the same place. The only local grocery store and is still able to have unique beer, cheese and charcuterie options. I shop here several times a week.

Small store but carry all the necessities. Has fresh meat and lots of different type beers. Not open past 8:00pm. Has a deli depth. too.

Success! Hammondsport Grocery is a smaller-_sized_ grocery store but we did our first local weekend grocery shopping and found a good selection of meats, produce deli; there is even a beer section in the back. Through a passageway is where one would get deli sandwiches and coffee/ donuts.We'll be back.

Check code dates on products as they don't rotate consistently. It's not very clean and they make no effort in detail cleanliness - note all the grime and ragged signs around the cash registers.

Prices can be expensive and there is usually only one register open. You may not get in and out quickly and get the best prices but this store had most things you need in a pinch without having to drive out of town.

It's your typical small town grocery store, and really your only choice for a full-fledged grocery store in Hammondsport. It's neither a Walmart Supercenter nor a charming local market, but they probably have what you need, from produce to nonperishables to beer and wine to a deli.

They accepted my EBT card 2weeks prior when I went back with same EBT card they refused it. Like really has that much changed in 2weeks. Mind you too its an out of state EBT that is accept in all the other stores I go to while on vacation there and they are always same stores.
