Local spot for ice-cream! They have lots of ice cream flavors and i love them all. I tried the vanilla custard ice-cream with green apple flavor burst and it’s so good! I also saw others tried the blue raspberry dipping coat and looked tempting!

The hard ice cream was full extras like the peanutbutter ...in my peanutbutter fudge ice cream Sunday...the of the specialty sundae was alot of ice cream and topping the Sundays was a good ratio of ice cream to toppings ..they also large shakes ...of all kinds of flavors

Brought my pup here after her vet appointment around the corner. I enjoyed the soft serve and she enjoyed a rare treat of a pup bowl. Service was very quick. I went shortly before the dinner rush and had no wait.

It's sundae sale time! It's sad that you have to pay extra for peanuts & whipped cream, aren't they what makes it a sundae? (Peanuts were a little stale, but expected because it's end of season, but I do not think we should have to pay for the toppings on a Sundae)

We travel 30 miles...2-3 times a week to enjoy this ice cream. The portions are outstanding, and the service is second to none. There is a Buffalo store near us, but the Hamburg place is the best.

I had the pleasure of visiting Nick Charlaps Ice Cream Shop, and my experience was truly delightful. The star of the show was their strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and it exceeded all expectations.

Yayy, my favorite ice cream and hotdog stand is back open for the season. Cant beat locally made ice cream flavors. French fries are freshly cut and delicious, and they really know how to roast a good sahlens hotdog, 2 for 1 deal on certain days make it affordable for whole family to go for a meal and dessert. Staff are friendly, place is clean, plenty of seating next to establishment and small village park next door.

Stopped there for dinner. Had the buy one get one hot dogs for the hubby and son, and I enjoyed the cheeseburger and onion rings. All were delish! Followed by some ice cream, because who doesn't have ice cream from Charlap's?!? All were very good!

My mom and I have gone to a few other locations. You know Nick Charlap’s is doing it right because the quality is consistently great at all their locations. Their frozen custard sets the standard!

great spot for an ice cream. town "parking" gazebo to sit and watch the roundabout traffic is a favorite. every village needs more roundabouts for pedestrian safety and traffic flow.

Buy one get one free sahlens hotdogs quite often. Just look for the sign out front! Great deal! All the staff are super friendly. Great customer service. Oh and the ice cream is pretty good too😉.

This was recommended & excellent ice cream. I had a small peanut butter Royale, vanilla ice cream with thick slices/chunks of peanut butter. It was not small. Chocolate available too. There is also one with coconut almond which I will have to have at another time

The selection is nice,alot to choose from,it would be cool if they had sugar free ice cream though,for the diabetics that try to enjoy ice cream,fast service,didnt wait long,worth it.

Ordered cotton candy and was given a birthday cake ice cream. Asked if it was cotton candy and employee said yes, thats all we have.Wife ordered chocolate peanut butter. No chocolate flavor at all.Note to self....never stop here for ice cream next time I'm in the area!

If this is not typical Americana, I don't know. Such a great find, super flavors and great service. The girls were working hard and efficient. The ice cream delicious and plenty. The setting as in the 50th, back to the past time travel. I truly enjoyed the great flavors and presentation.

Good variety and nice atmosphere, especially since they made the road a dead end. Feels like a park now. They now have Dole Whip, which is great because my husband can't tolerate ice cream. I think they are still a little less pricey than most other places, but pretty much everywhere you go, prices are ridiculous.

It's very cute--a real, old-fashioned, ice cream stand! And the ice cream is good, too. My only complaint is that the hot fudge wasn't very good... I'm sure they could do better. Still, a lot of fun, worth the drive.

I stumbled upon Nick Charlaps ice cream stand while exploring the lovely village of Hamburg. They had a sundae sale (!) and I had an amazing flavor called Carmel Brownie Overload with hot fudge sundae topping. It was delicious. And, $2.99 for a HUGE bowl.

Great food but the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The woman behind the window must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. When giving her our order, she responded back with such attitude as if she was fed up with us. When my husband went to the pick up window, there happened to be a man who was already waiting for his food long before us, and somehow she served us our food before him, which angered him and he requested a refund. She responded to him rudely that she doesn’t know how to do refunds. I don’t blame him for getting angry as he waited a long time and we had a group of 8, while he was with his wife and baby.Anyways, we get our food (burgers and fries) and noticed another large group of ppl at the window. I overheard the woman come back and tell the teens she was with that they’re not serving food anymore, just ice cream. They ended up walking to the subway next door. Meanwhile, the next customers were able to order food....?! Like I don’t understand how she can refuse food to customers but serve it to others?So that was my experience. The food was amazing, but we chose to get ice cream somewhere else. Didn’t wanna deal with her again.I’m not sure what caused her to be like this, and there is no justification for her behavior, but I hope she receives some customer service training and adjust that attitude :/

They make their own hard ice cream flavors, of which, they have about 40 different ones. Other than that, it's pretty much your typical outdoor ice cream shop. The kids running it were courteous and the ice cream was great.

I was extremely disappointed with my purchase. My favorite is chocolate. I bought a small cone - it tasted nasty. It had such a weird flavor? Not at all what I remembered from years ago. The scooped ice cream was so soft that it was dripping on a 73 degree day! I ended up returning to the counter to ask for a different flavor - wasn't imp r eased with that choice either. So sad. They used to be my favorite. 😖

Great icecream and so many amazing flavors! My favorite icecream place in hamburg. But unfortunately the hours listed are wrong. Drove all the way here from lackawanna for them just to be closed. 😬soon as they fix it ill give them 5 stars ⭐️ 😊
