My recent visit to Gabe's was somewhat underwhelming. The store had a distinct warehouse feel, making the shopping experience less inviting. As I navigated through, the shelves appeared disorganized and cluttered, which didn't make for an easy shopping trip. During checkout, I felt almost like part of a herd, funneled through a congested area lined with low-priced, discount items—candy, processed foods, and various other goods that seemed hastily arranged to tempt last-minute impulse buys. Many of the products felt flimsy, leaving me skeptical about their durability and overall quality. Despite these drawbacks, the trip wasn't a total loss. My wife had spotted some plastic Adirondack chairs online, priced attractively low, which was our main reason for visiting. Although Gabe's might offer some good deals, it's not a place I'd frequent unless looking for something specific at a bargain price. The atmosphere just doesn't make for a pleasant shopping day out.Gabe's is an off-price discount retailer known for offering significant savings on brand-name goods. Purchased a sweatshirt for my son. I brought it home and he liked it so we took the tags off. He went to wear it for the first time and noticed a hole in the armpit. I tried to return and was told they would not without the tag. I had the receipt but not good enough. It's not my fault the shirt was defective. Never again.

I bought a couple of things here and they were cheap and worked out well for me. My only complaint is that the clothes are sketchy. Now I didn't buy any clothes but make sure you really like the clothes before you rip any tags off. Cause their return policy looks bad. Otherwise, clean store but could use some more helpful staff

Nice store, good prices, anything you can imagine but 3 workers were yapping away instead of cashing out people when there was 30+ people in line so it took 20 mins to cash out two bags of candy

This store is like K-Mart meets Big Lots, but without big furniture. Lots of inexpensive items. I was surprised at the amount of clothes!Easy to to see across most of the (large) store. It's a great place for charger cables, linens, quick last minute toys or presents. There's a pet section in the far back. Not food, but treats, toys, etc. (Like at T.J.Maxx)They have sunglasses and snacks too. You could plan a spontanoeus beach day, and literally get everything you need, right there on your way to Angola! (Except hot dogs, but there are 3 grocery stores within 1 minute.)Shoes (and cook ware) were exceptionally cheap, so if your feet (and food) like that, cool. I will not buy shoes here again, but will be back for random goods at a much lower price than Target or Marshalls. It's worth a peek. I'm glad I stopped in.

If you really enjoy spending all of your money, Gabe's is the place for you!Ok. Joking aside, everything I saw there was interesting and decently priced. Walk around. Take some time; we uncovered some obvious screaming deals! It has a feeling of fresh, continually shifting merchandise like Bed Bath Beyond and Pier 1 Imports used to have; so I really enjoyed that vibe! I feel like if you see it now, buy it now, tho?, because it likely won't be back. (?) Gabe's has brought back that retro, old-school way of shopping for quality unique merchandise at deal prices. I was reluctant to go in; I was sold on Gabe's by the time I left. So. Much. Fun! And, on the whole, I rather loath shopping. So. That happened. Enjoy! Youll want to share your super-cool, unique finds.

Return policy is absolutely ridiculous. I bought a piece of luggage for my wife for a Christmas gift, as per normal I removed the tag so she didn't know the cost. However I kept the tag and receipt. Three days after Christmas we go to return it but because it was not attached with plastic ring they would not honor the return. The receipt and tag clearly matched, it was a Christmas gift obviously you don't keep tags on gifts (at least I don't maybe I'm missing something...) oh yeah I asked to speak with manager said she couldn't help me it wasn't her call it was store policy and she could lose her job, a little overboard if you ask me. Lesson learned never remove tags from Gabe's or returns are impossible!

Not bad. This store in general has really good prices plus they have some unique items at these Gabe's stores that are hard to find in other retail stores. The only thing is this store could use some organization on the clothing in general. The prices are good but the prices are a lot higher than previous trips to the store for the same items on some items. I paid $50 for a carhartt coat about 2 years ago and I got it for $45 with the coupon and the ones they have now that are basically the same style and the same thing were now $70-80 so that's a huge increase in price. I don't like the way the clothing is organized because its not organized by size. Its organized in a way that makes zero sense. If the clothing was organized a bit by size, it does not have to be perfect, I would be able to buy more stuff because I wouldn't miss things that are in my size that I might want to buy. I want to go right to my size and see what is available in that size, not hunt through many racks of random clothing for the one item that might appear in my size. They need more longer racks that are sorted by size instead of small racks with everything piled on it.

Love this place. They have almost anything you could need. Love the location. Prices are great. Everyone was friendly. They even have a Carhartt/ work clothes section for the men.

WORST GABES IN THE CITY!! STORE IS ALWAYS IN DISHEVELED ITS HARDLY ANY SPACE TO WALK OR MOVE LET ALONE PUSH A CART! I literally SAT IN LINE LONGER THAN I WAS SHOPPING. i used to love this store..now..not.

Gabe's is awesome. We found great deals there. Heidi our cashier was very friendly & attentive. She has great customer service skills. I Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great bargain!

This place is similar to a Burlington. Theres a LOT of stuff in this place. They tried to organize it but theres also a lot of racks with a mish-mash of items. These items tend to be less than $10 though. It took us more than an hour just to get through half the store. Theres just so much stuff. But once you find something, it ends up being A REALLY good deal. The kids clothes ended up being $14 for the Adidas set and $7 for the Minnie jumpsuit. The dress was a whopping $3.99!

Love Gabe’s!! Always find great deals. Got a shirt, cardigan, pants and a 6 pack of socks for less than $30. At the time they had a lot of wedding dresses there for $40! I don’t need one but they were beautiful!

I loved this place! If you want to buy Buffalo NY apparel they have it cheap I'm a Buffalo Girl at heart came to Came to capital region to marry huge mistake all around! But I digress! Lol! Buffalo Bill apparel too reasonable!! Lots and lots of finds I bought short boots for $28.99 fur lined! It's a surprise all the time so go for it! If you are a what can I find person you'll love it!

First time here. This store had pretty good prices, some name brand items which is a plus. The store was well organized and clean. The bathroom for women not too clean though and couldn't keep the stall closed, it wasn't lined up right. Loved the great variety in home wares as well as some electronics. The shoe department is a hit and miss on sizing, but overall a great store.

Love this store chain! , This location is great, great products, great prices, clean, fully stocked, would've given 5 stars however the staffs being friendly is a hit or miss each time. We have had some staff members who have gone over and beyond call of duty as well friendly however, we do go there all the time and each time we go find ourselves being followed as if we are going to steal however we have never and would never steal but understand they are just doing their jobs, same token, we recognize the staff who does this each time and can't figure out why each time we go we do dropped a good amount of money, have a rewards card with them, never ever returned anything to any store yet we keep being confused with ones who steal, outside of that this store is wonderful!

Awesome store. My daughter loved all the options of clothing in Jr's. The styles were up to date and prices were reasonable. Household goods nice quality and blankets super soft. I love blankets!!!
