We went on a Saturday right before the rush. The produce was super fresh and actually had taste opposed to supermarket stuff. There were a bunch of vendors such as distilleries and artisan soaps. For the waffles, get the plain fresh ones with whipped cream - not the pre made ones we got. This farmers market is a the perfect morning activity.

While out on a drive through the area the wife and I stopped by and walked through the market. Lots of vendors - could easily buy everything you need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you were visiting the area for the weekend. The round barn is beautifully restored and fun to walk through.

Weekly during the summer! Go hear Connie and Jean - a great accordion/fiddle duo. Last week there was a guerilla-style performance of Romeo & Juliet by a local Shakespeare company. The crowd loved it! Tons of cheese.

the market itself is great, no complaints at all about the vendors. however, the open hours leave something to be desired. if you're like me (who rarely rolls out of the house before 1pm on a saturday), good luck getting here while it's open. it really frustrates me that it's easy to find a farmer's market on any given day in brooklyn or NYC, but if you live in the heart of an actual farm community, there's only a 4-hour window on a single day to get your fresh produce. go to the market in Delhi or the Margaretville Home Goods shop if you can't make it to Pakatakan.

We love this Farmer's market!! Always great veg, honey, syrup, condiments, baked goods! And family crafts for kids to do, other stands serving delicious waffles and eggs on brioche... We never miss this spot. Try the cheeses and condiments! Buy some kimchee and pesto to go on your fresh veg, eggs etc.

Great farm Market. Fresh organic food. Friendly vendors. There is handcrafted soaps and lotions that are amazing. You can get specialty cheeses, breads, honey, maple syrups, mustards, meats, and so much more. Prices are very reasonable. To much to list. If you are in the area....should be on your list. It is seasonal so check dates on line.

Always wonderful! Enjoy Meredith’s Bakery, Locust Grove Soap, Lucky Dog, Heller’s, Berry Brook & Kimchee Harvest veggies, the mushroom guy, the musicians and plants from Neil at Patria Gardens. We never miss a trip to the round barn.

This is a great place to come to buy your fruits and vegetables that are local and in season. They have some other local baked goods, distilleries, and food made on premises with seating if you wanted to have a snack and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Beautiful market, both around the barn and inside. Please note: this market doesn’t allow dogs. This may be a known NY state thing, but it was a surprise to me as outside markets at home (NJ) allow dogs. It would be helpful to post that info online as prominently as it is on site.

A great farmer’s market with a variety of offerings, from fresh produce to cut meats and fresh pasta and homemade salsa! My husband and kids enjoyed some decadent Belgian waffles with toppings they didn’t need. Almost a one stop shop for weekly groceries.

This place has it all! You can get grass fed meat, smoked fish, several varieties of cheese, and different types of local booze. Plus there are several stalls with a variety of fresh produce!

A great place to get fresh local produce and support area farmers. There are also local artisans who sell their creations, bakers, beekeepers, soapmakers, cheesemakers, potters, too much to remember--you have to experience it to understand it! Get there early. Parking can be a bear. Pets not allowed in the market so leave them home, not in your hot car.

if for nothing more than the barn itself, it's worth checking out this relatively small but robust farmers market. the round barn is certainly the focal point of this seemingly middle-of-nowhere market, but the fare and wares being sold are also worth a stop. from the harpersfield cheese maker to the guy selling hot waffles, there's a little bit of everything going on.

Try the cinnamon moonshine (cinnester). Been having the liege (authentic Belgian waffles, not what you see all over the US) for years, always spectacular. The raw honey is great, the soap is nice and true vegetarian. The Buddha Pesto is phenomenal (but contains non-vegetarian rennet in the cheese in it if you're a strict vegetarian). Fantastic spread with butter on some sourdough from Bread Alone (who also make great chocolate chip cookies-though only the big fresh ones, not the pre-packaged ones).

I am sure there are allot of people that like this place. I came there for fresh vegetables. Paying $1 for on one pickling cucumber is way too much. There are allot of other touristy things. If you want the place to walk around and shop for souvenirs go for it.

Very nice place, a little spendy on the veggies and 12 pack eggs is 7 bucks.

The Pakatakan Farmers market is the place to be on Saturdays. Local farmers have great produce, meat and cheese. Two distilleries and soap makers and more. It's always worth the stop.

Lost a start because they don't have a pickle stand. Otherwise, great local meat selection, baked goods and veggies.

Nice market but lacks fresh berries that are already in season. Bring cash as many vendors won't accept credit cards
