We continue to return. It's a great destination for a getaway weekend. Service is wonderful, friendly and accommodating, and the rooms/ cabins are really fantastic. Comfortable, beautifully appointed and with stunning views of the lake. The grounds are also quite lovely with outdoor patios and shuffle board courts etc. Could not ask for more.

We were just here this weekend. It’s been my first time back since we went as kids. It’s exactly as I remember it. The cabins smell of fresh pine and outdoor adventures. The amenities make spending time with family something to remember. Don’t worry if you didn’t bring culinary supplies or anything else, there are pots and pans in the kitchen and a few grocery stores just down the road. It’s home away from home. The view of the lake and mountains from Trout House are stunning. Every glance towards the lake just makes you want to stay forever. Trout House even has boats and a little marina for you to spend your day on the lake. The jet tubs make the end of the day nothing but relaxation. Staying here is great investment. We hope you enjoy and we hope to be back so soon.

It's been a few years but every time we go here we come back home totally relaxed And rejuvenated. If you like The feelings of being in the mountain And doing some light hiking And row boating and bicycling And even some horseback riding This is the place to come to. Please check out their site So you can see the rooms. It's updated and you feel like you're staying in a log cabin But with today's amenities.

Amazing place to stay. Cozy, very well taken care of, clean, right on the lake. They have everything you can think off- paddle boats, canoe, raw boats, kayaks. They also have bikes, games. This is the place where you want to come over and over again. We stayed there 2 nights and wish we could stay longer. Definitely coming back again in the near future.

My family and I have been going to Trout House Village for 40 years. From the time we arrive , to our departure (sadly) , our experience has always been impeccable. It’s a beautiful resort, filled with lots of amenities, and lots of love from the Patchett’s , staff and their fur babies. Already counting down our trip for next year ! Arrived home on Saturday, and already missing my family and my Trout House family . Have a great year and see you in July !Rooms: Spacious and very cleanNearby activities: Ping pong , paddle board , kayak , fishing, boating , relaxing on the beautiful beach or dock. Views you will never get tired of looking at.Safety: ExcellentWalkability: General Store with lots of goodies right around the corner.Noteworthy details: Very family oriented

This is a late review, but my wife and I can't say enough amazing things about Alice and her cabins. We got married up there in September 2021 and we worked with Alice with booking majority of all the cottages for our guests to stay in. The process was seamless and communication was great. All the guests that stayed there for the weekend including ourselves LOVED it. We were able to utilize the fire pit, we stocked the refrigerator and used the paddle boards down by the water. If you ever think about staying here it is a must. If you are getting married up here, definitely check this place out, it is cozy, comfortable and being with your guests for a getaway it the perfect way to share the memory.

Me and my family had one of the most beautiful time at the awesome Trout House Village Resort. If you are looking for a less commercialized experience at Lake George then this is the place for you. The owners have made sure to offer the best experiences for their guests whether it’s on the resort or by the lake with so many activities. We had to rent the motels as that was the only option available for this Labor Day weekend. Our check-in experience was great and the concierge person patiently answered all our questions regarding the resort as it was our first time. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Some of the highlights of the resort are the most beautiful lake views from every room, 0.6 mile hike to one of the most scenic views of the lake, which begins right behind the resort and last but not the least, kayaking on the lake to explore all the small islands.. this was certainly the highlight of our stay here. Our boys ( 7 and 13 yr olds) loved the island hopping, fishing and the cliff jumping experience. One thing to keep in mind is that there are not that many dining options in the neighborhood so come prepared. There’s literally just 1 good restaurant. Other than that it’s one of the best resort in Lake George.

We spent four wonderful nights at Trout House Resort, our first time. From the moment we arrived we felt the charm of the resort from check-in until we sadly had to head home.Alice was very friendly and helpful. We rented Cozy Cottage and it was perfect in every sense. Spotless and every amenity you could think of. The jacuzzi after three days of hiking was perfect.I especially remarked that the owners took great pride in maintaining the resort. The cabins and log homes were all freshly painted and the grounds pristine. You can sense the pride they had in offering a great experience to their guests. We had a most memorable stay and can’t wait to return. Perfect in every way!And the views!! A jewel of a resort on Lake George.

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at the Trout House Resort recently. I am admittedly a cabin lover and have stayed in quite a few around the country. The Trout House Cozy Cottage was definitely the best! The cottage was perfectly clean, comfortable, warm and inviting. Every need had been anticipated and perfectly met and Alice and the staff were kind and helpful in every way. Though it was already well into fall, a time when many businesses had been shuttered, the Trout House had every thing available a guest could want; kayaks, bikes, shuffleboard, croquet and on and on!The location on beautiful Lake George is nothing less than spectacular with a very nice beach. A morning coffee on the pier enjoying the view was a memory I won't soon forget! And a lovely walk into the tiny hamlet of Hague is a great way to start your day.We definitely hope to return soon!!! The hard part will be deciding which great cabin to try next! Thanks for a great stay!!

It was a nice stay at Eagle View, cabin was very cozy on one of the coldest weekends I've seen. Only gripe was I didn't know the cabin I'd be staying in would have another family above us. They were extremy loud all day and when I told the office as I was checking out, they didn't seem to care. If I had known there would be another family staying above, I probably wouldn't have booked... they dont specify that on the website. My boyfriend and I went for a relaxing weekend and all we heard were loud foot stomps all day until midnight. In response to the owner's comments: The only reason I left the review was because of the lack of care when I brought up the issue at check out. I'm aware nothing could have been done since I mentioned it after the fact. It doesn't state on your website that the cabin we picked would actually be a shared cabin with another family above us. When I brought that up and mentioned they were loud, it was complete silence from the office staff. An apology or an understanding of my feedback was all I needed, I didn't get that and wouldn't have if I didn't leave a review.

I have stayed at the Trout House every year for the past 6 years in the spring to fish for lake trout...also 3 or 4 times in the winter to ice fish. So glad we found this place! We've stayed in 4 different accommodations here over the years and have never been disappointed. Always spotless clean. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Great views and great fishing as well. Looking forward to our stay at the end of this April!

Fantastic resort!! My family has been coming up to Lake George since before I was born. (50+ years) We have always stayed in Hague, in the northern part of the lake. It is beautiful and quieter than the southern parts. I have known about The Trout House Village for many years but we always rented a house or cottage. We had the opportunity to rent the first floor of their Mohican cabin in their Lodge and Chalet Log Cabins. It was everything we could have asked for! 2 large comfortable bedrooms with king size beds, air conditioners in both bedrooms and the living room, gas log fireplace, fully applianced kitchenette, spa tub and stand-up shower, etc. I just can't say enough about it! There are tons of amenities for renters only like a fishing dock, swimming area, paddle boarding, kayaking, shuffle board, etc. It's just a great place to stay if you love the northern part of Lake George!

I love this place. The grounds and cabin are pristine and are stocked with anything you need. No matter where you are staying, you'll have a spectacular view of the lake. It's great for a family vacation to escape the hectic everyday. I highly recommend this village. It's remote at the north end of the lake, so some travel is involved in order to get to attractions.

The place has a great location as it's right across the lake, a short 1 minute walk from the beach. The cabin was beautiful, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom. The kitchen was lovely with modern appliances. There was also a great living room with a nice tv. The beds upstairs were comfortable, though you could hear just about everything from upstairs.

We've only been to Trout house once- last winter a friend treated us to a night as a gift. We had a really wonderful time. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was the perfect place for a short, romantic winter get-away. And despite the fact that it was the middle of February we couldn't resist sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful view. We loved being able to use the snowshoes that are kept on site! We couldn't have been happier with our stay and hope to back it back sometime for a longer trip- hopefully in the summer this time!

This August, will mark our 3rd year vacationing at Trout House. My husband stayed here as a child and has wonderful memories. We are so happy to be able to create new memories with our 2 children. The accommodations are perfect for a week long getaway. The cabins are clean and well stocked with almost everything you need. The view of the Lake is breathtaking from anywhere in the resort. The town of Hague is a short 5 minute walk and is provides the quintessential small town atmosphere. Definitely make your reservations for Trout House, you won't regret it!

I LOVE fish, so my wife and I went to the "Trout House" looking for trout. Walked in and on the walls were trout everywhere in frames, but guess where they weren't? On the menu!!!!! Why would anyone open and name a restaurant after a fish they don't serve??? This restaurant is the click-bate virus of food! If you love bread from plastic, with tap water, come here! If you love trout or any damn fish, don't eat here!!!! This place is a joke and an abomination to real seafood lovers. Hey Earl, Mitch, or Steve, maybe don't false advertise!!! Here's a better name: The Tapwater & Bread House"!!!!! What a joke!!!! hahahahahahahaha PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! You'll find better food in a dumpster behind the Walmart parking lot.LMAO

Our family has had the pleasure of staying at Trout House Village Resort several times. Each time, our stay at Trout House has been nothing short of wonderful. Alice and her family make our family feel right at home during our stay. The Trout House facilities are clean and neat and in the event you need something, the family and staff are there to meet your needs. The beach and amenities available at Trout House are also superior! I highly recommend staying here!

I get a weekend here every year as a present for my mom, and every year is better than the last! The staff somehow always outdo themselves, year after year! Always something for everyone, and every accommodation is clean and cozy and very well-priced. I'm happy to have started this tradition.

Cozy, comfortable, accommodating, and has amazing views. We stayed in the Lord Howe Cabin. It has beautiful views from the balcony, and is absolutely perfect.Between the beach, for swimming, the kayaks, row boats, and fishing dock, there is always something to do. It is just an amazingly peaceful, wonderful experience.

I had not been to the Trout House since 1976. In December of 2014 I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and I live in NC. My family, who reside in North Jersey and who had been staying at the Trout House for a week every summer, decided I needed to get back to Lake George and the Trout House. So in the summer of 2016 I was able to come back. I am so glad I did. Even though it had been 40 years, it seemed like I was back in time and it was wonderful. There were some slight differences, all for the good. Alice and Scott are great owners/hosts and you couldn't ask for a better time and stay on the northern end of the lake. I would be remiss if I left out the Staff, all good people.

We travel with our small dog all over the country. And this has been one of the top 3 locations we have been. It's Perfect! Impeccable cabins. Great views. Private beach with canoes, paddle boards, paddle boats etc. Boat rentals less then a block away at marina. This will now be an annual destination

Alice, Scott and family sure know how to make you feel at home. They have beautiful cabins, chalets and of course the main inn. The beach and docks are right across the street, great views from every part of the property. Check out this wonderful vacation spot if you plan to be in the area, any time of the year.

I am hesitant to say anything. I want to keep this gem, out of the spotlight. Fantastic place, really clean rooms. Eagles Nest has one of the best lake views I have ever seen.If you have had enough fishing, swimming, sail, kayacking. There is always ping pong, basketball. Miniature golf. My wife's favorite shuffle board. Thank You, Alice.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Paul Revere and had a wonderful time. Wood burning fireplace, which was perfect because the weather was gray and cold and snowy. The dual sided view was really nice when falling asleep.Incredibly comfortable beds and the cabin was impeccably clean. Direct tv with access to ESPN so could watch all the bowl games. Full kitchen and there are grills outside as well. if you plan on cooking at the cottage, I would definitely bring food from home. The only grocery store options around are an insanely overpriced Tops in Bolton Landing and a woefully limited Walmart in Ticonderoga. There's also a small organic grocer in Ti but I can't imagine what their prices were like. There are hiking trails close by and the resort also has use of sleds, cross country skis and snowshoes for its guests. The staff was incredibly friendly and were constantly working to make sure every guest was taken care of. Patch and Ellie took care of the dog blues I was feeling by leaving the furbabies at home. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be back.
