It is very cute place! Lake is awesome, so clean and warm, and the views are just amazing.Camp sites are pretty good, but some of them have not so good grills and tables.A lot of places around the place if you wanna go outside. One star down because of dirty old toilets, sometimes there is no toilet paper at all.Showers are also not in a perfect condition, some faucets are broken.Grab your tube, boat, kayak to have more fun!In general - great experience! I recommend this place.

Brought my partner and our pup for their first camping trip. Luckily on memorial day everyone left, and we were the only campers left on the opposite side of the road. It was pure bliss to be out there alone!Firewood is sold on site!! We didn't know and had bought extremely pricey wood before arriving at the local corner store, don't make this mistake. Local firewood vendors will come around consistently throughout the day. We never ran out, and we always had our fire lit! It was WAY cheaper this way as well. Soft or hard wood options, and they also carry ice!The lake side / beach is beautiful. Clear waters and clean.

1.Understaffed!!! No privacy at all as far as people walking through your campsite to get to the water at you campsite, they tie their floats and swim at your site. You simply cannot enjoy the water at your campsite. The water is beautiful but the buoys in front of your campsite is first come first serve. So we have to deal with someone that has their boat tied right in front of your campsite. I already hit the boat with a sinker and snagged trying to fish. I’m not a professional fisherman but I’m good at it. Bathrooms are horrible, dirty and don’t work. The photo is from inside the stall. The reservation site was deceiving, it said waterfront on it. I had no idea site 54 was hike in only either, the site didn’t say either. It’s about a 45 degree slanted hill and very slippery rocks.

Have been going for years. Fantastic park. Sick and tired of late night noise. Last year I left the park one night to get a night's sleep. There has not been any enforcement of " quiet hours" the last 4 years. Two years I had the same group of drunks at a nearby handicap site partying and lighting fireworks until 3:30 am. One yoyo got up at 5:30am and blasted his car radio. Had to clean my campsites the last two years. DEC needs to rein it in and make it nice for families again. I have never had a bad experience at Puts Pond or Crown Point. This review was made summer 2021. This review was a couple of years back. New manager, park has quieted down. Sites are not in great shape as far as fire places. Roots can't be helped. Trash is out of control. Some blame on campers, mostly not enough dumpster space.

Great campsites which are next to water as well.. There are showers/ restrooms which are super clean. There is water faucet everywhere for clean drinking water . Highly recommend booking campsites closer to water. Staff is friendlyWood and Ice - There is a guy who brings wood and ice near to campsite which is convenient. He usually sells wood for a higher price though..

I've been comming here every year for a few years now and every time it seems like the cleaning gets worse. I do enjoy this campgrounds and the beach is decent but the camp site we had was full of tree roots and they almost ruined our tent floor. Wish I could have seen that I would have picked a different one. One night we stayed people were so loud I thought they were dying! This went on for hours and hours! I'm so glad they left after 1 night. All in all I recommend this campgrounds they have decent showers and bathrooms and besides your occasional douche bag it's pretty quiet 😝 we stayed on the opposite side of the road this time because the main camp grounds were full. There was a baby deer that walked right through our site 🙂

Rodgers rock is a gem on lake George and the state needs to step up and fix it because the decline is getting dangerous! Big rigs beware the only spot for you is the road down by the boat launch otherwise forget it!We watched multiple people get stuck because the roads are so narrow and tight and there has been no cutting of trees, pavement washes away "That's OK we will fill it with really big gravel so it's uneven and dangerous". People leave bathroom light on OK "we'll fix it with a timer light", which is dangerous at night and doesn't stay on for more than a minute, you should be able to shower with light. The location of this campground cannot be beat. It is a beautiful, pristine lake. We deserve facilities that are clean and maintained. NYS parks please spend some money at this campground and fix it the way, Rogers rock deserves.

What a great place to camp. The dogs love the lake and the area is well maintained. Great Lake side views with a beach. The small bathrooms are gross but the larger one with a shower is in much better condition. Will be returning every year.Nearby activities: Lake sports and beach swimming.

Beautiful Campground in Upstate, NY on Lake George. Many sites are not camper friendly, and there are some decent road-width potholes in some areas, but the bathrooms are fairly well kept and relatively bug-free. Due to being in the Adirondacks there are some decent elevation changes on a number of sites, but that's hard to avoid, just something worth noting. There is a beautiful trail from the campsite to Roger's Rock itself. There is a Stewarts, Walgreens and Walmart close by if you need to replenish supplies, and a beautiful park in town with a waterfall and playground. The camp's beachfront has a wonderful view of the lake and plenty of boat 'parking' offshore.

I'm very upset with the fact that I have to be writing this review, as I've been going to Rogers Rock Campground with my family since I was a baby (and I'm now 24). But - this year was an absolute disgrace and NYS nor the campground did anything about it. My family and I will never be going back there due to our terrible experience this year.Incident #1: The campground used to have a grounds keeper or a trooper who would drive around to make sure that campers were safe and following the quiet hours at night time, to be respectful of all of the campers in tents. This year, they had neither. This was a huge issue because the campers next to us were partying (extremely loud) until 5:30 a.m. in the morning... I wish I was exaggerating. We could not fall asleep and telling them to please be quiet ourselves only made it worse as they were disrespectful people who told us to screw off. Back in the day, they would've been kicked out of the campground after 2 warnings if they were loud during quiet hours. This happened 2 nights in a row (Friday and Saturday night) which completely ruined our trip since we were forced to sleep during the day due to how exhausted we were. I very nicely expressed how upset we were after Friday night, and the campground said they would come around to tell them to be quiet going forward. I'm not sure if they did, but Saturday night was the same - and when I went up to the front around 12:30 a.m. to let them know they were still making noise, no one was there. There was a sign to call a non emergency line to reach the campground off-hours but no one even answered it. So, we had to deal with partying until 5:30 a.m. for a second night in a row. When we were checking out, I asked if we could please get a refund for those two nights/days since we were completely out of commission due to the campground failing to enforce their rules. We were met with dazed and confused looks, saying they would file a claim with the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation to see if we can get our refund processed. 2 weeks later, we received a letter stating "we are unable to offer refunds for events, decisions or circumstances that are beyond the Department's control" and signed by Jessica L. McBride, Campground Program Supervisor. So, they are telling me they have no control over enforcing their OWN campground rules...? Because they sure did every other past years we've been there! So, since receiving this letter - I am writing this as a warning to other families to not use this campground as they are understaffed and do not enforce their guidelines / care about their paying campers. If people at the campground decide to party till 5 a.m., you are just going to have to deal with it. It's a free-for-all now.Incident #2: Saturday night around 2 a.m. while we were up due to the noisy campers next to us, we heard a very loud crash and bang (it was very scary) and noticed that a tree very close to one of the sites (with campers on it) had fallen down in the woods. The tree was so tall, that if it had fallen the opposite way, it would have hit those campers at that site (so extremely dangerous). Thank God it fell the opposite way. But after that, we were super freaked out and concerned. That's another thing the campground should and used to be doing - they would check all of the trees within the radius of the camp sites to make sure to take down any dead trees or trees that had potential of falling. But apparently, not anymore! While we were there, two trees fell (that one and another one right over the bridged entrance after the main bathrooms). So, just another example of it being a free-for-all campground with no safety protocols or services they promise being enforced.Just wanted to share my family's experience in the hopes that it may deter other families from dealing with what we had to deal with while we were there. There are so many campgrounds on LG, I would suggest to definitely find one that is safe and stress-free for your family! Cause Rogers Rock is the exact opposite of that, sadly.

Nice state campground on beautiful lake. This is an aging campground and it needs some updating. The roads are pretty rough and narrow and many of the sites are small. Side have water views , but not easy water access. There are some new shower houses, but the bathrooms (without showers) are very dated. This is not an easy campground for bigger rigs. We would come back.

This is our favorite place to get away from the world. Beautiful views, tons of wildlife, and of course perfect lake access with a quiet beach. You can even find stones like snowflake obsidian, moss agate, citrine and others just laying around on the shore and in the lake! The perfect place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and enjoy some quality relaxation time.

Went camping with my two little boys, when we got there our reserved site was occupied, it was soon after that I met the manager Justin Shappy… As a business owner myself I was taken back by his ego and attitude and I could only think, this man would never run anything for me…He wasn’t the least bit helpful and we inevitably had to leave!!! Thank u Justin for lack of professionalism and even less understanding….

Before actually hiking this mountain I did some research on it first. As I had read many stated about the rock scramble along with the trail not marked too well. I would agree on both. As for the trail I could compare it to a combination of Crane and Buck Mt from the Pilot Knob side. But we did see some hikers near the trailhead at campsite 210, as they said to keep an eye out for both yellow and orange tape wrapped around trees. Where those acted as markers along the trail. As I also did notice the piles of stacked rocks were markers along the trail too. Overall the hike was nice with beautiful views of the northern part of Lake George.

If you're looking for a bustling park with a beach-focused atmosphere, this seems like a nice option. If you're looking to get closer to nature then I wouldn't recommend it. Most of the sites are close to the road and not very private. The bathrooms are nice and generally clean. Showers are available in one building, and are free. They apparently don't sell firewood there: You've got to wait for someone to drive by and buy it from their trailer, or get it from a private seller offsite. Overall not a bad place to stay if you don't mind a lot of people bustling around. The area around that part of Lake George is beautiful.

Family has been coming here over 50 years. Not one time in 4 days did they clean the bathrooms/showers, had to request toilet paper which was never put in, sensor light in restroom did not turn on at night and the ADA compliance restroom was suddenly locked from the outside. After requesting it be opened again due to a camper needing the handrails, it was unlocked but they did not put any toilet paper in there. This used to be a beautiful friendly place to come but not anymore, very sad.

This is a great camping experience. The restrooms are clean the campsites are nice the fireplace is big and we felt very safe and comfortable camping here. We will all definitely be back and feel comfortable enough to come back with our family and children. There’s beautiful scenery around especially with Lake George nearby. The beach area is a very nice area as well and it is on the campsite

When you arrive please try to arrive during day time especially if you have a harder time taking turns and going through tight spaces. I got site 25 and went in a rv, and it was really hard to see anything. But the staff was really nice, they moved their car out of the road so we can pass and helped us take the turn. We also asked them for directions to a Walmart and were very detailed on how to get there. Since i wasn't driving i cant say if it was easy or not to get in the site but it seemed like the rv was left in a good position and fit nicely. All the other people there seemed to fit multiple vehicles in their sites. They have a place to dump and throw away your trash. (also a bin for your recycling.) The other guests were very nice and greeted us as soon as we parked. The campsite itself is very clean and theres no trash on the floor. Also you can probably swim there but it was a bit cold. (I came in mid September.) After leaving i do wish i stayed longer. Also the have restrooms which were very clean the only thing is that on the door there were a lot of moths. I am giving 5 stars but a suggestion if you go and for the campground is to add light. If youre goning please bring light sources.

Spent an amazing time here, this weekend. If you have the opportunity, bring the kids, your loved ones, your pet, or just come alone. You will not be disappointed. Clean campground, and the staff is very helpful. You can rent canoes/kayaks, bring your boat, fish, swim, barbecue, hike... A lot to do and see. Wish I could have stayed longer, but really enjoyed myself. The only reason it didn't get five stars is that I had to drive to get to the showers. Other than that, I would truly recommend this location to anyone. Thank you all.

As camping has become more popular in the past years more people are using the facilities. The shower rooms were dirty with trash, I was picking up trash on the beach and in the water. They need to hire more people to help keep the place clean.

If I was reviewing this place last year or any year before, I'd give them 5 stars. It's normally a great experience. But this time, my camp spot, which has grass, was completely overgrown with grass about 2 feet high. I was worried about parking my car because I couldn't see if I was driving over something dangerous like a nail or some leftover tent stake. That's just unacceptable. Beyond that, it's a hazard for ticks. I understand they're short handed, but they have to figure it out.

Sites we got were kind of small but it's well kept and the bathrooms are pretty clean. Great for a family camping trip. Lake is absolutely gorgeous.

We've camped twice here (2015 and 2017) and it's beautiful. It's a very quiet campground, so it's great when you want to be away from massive crowds. Bring your own kayaks/canoes or rent from the campground itself. All the staff I've ever interacted with have been friendly and there's an ice/wood truck that drives around every day. It's also not very far from the local Walmart and town of Ticonderoga if you forget some necessities (or if you want to go see the Fort). Showers are free, clean, and have HOT water, not just lukewarm.I've found our sites to be well groomed/cleaned up before we got there, there is decent space between each site, and plenty of community water faucets within walking distance of wherever you're camped. They offer a few different activities, and some decent hiking/light mountain climbing that gives you a phenomenal view of the lake. It's definitely a campground worth checking out.

Note: we went late in the season, so the camp ground was deserted. The camp sites are very small and close together. This was not an issue for us because there was no one else there, but I can imagine in busy season that it could quite tight and loud. The location on Lake George is awesome. Went down by the water on the last day. Views are spectacular, boating looks wonderful (for those with boats), plenty picnic tables and a nice beach.Closely located to some really fun hiking trails. We did the Lower Tongue Range loop hike. Great time.

I love this campground! There are boating activities near by along side hiking or having a beach day by the lake. The staff at the campground is also very friendly and helpful. The only reason I don’t give the full five starts is due to cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers which can definitely be better kept and clearer.

The campground is very nice and people are very helpful there. We arrived very late at night and there is NO CELL SERVICE, so one of the rangers led us to our campsite where our family was staying. Bathrooms near the campsites are fair with the minor complaint of it being a little smelly. The bathrooms in the bathhouses are more well kept and clean. Beautiful lake with views of mountains in the distance. No store on the campground to get anything so you have to drive 10 minutes to Walmart in Ticonderoga. There is also wifi here if you need to contact anyone.
