I've had four visits from a supposed Optimum salesperson who wears a Showtime lanyard. I have refused his offer each time and he will continue to speak through my door after I close it. I've tried to confirm whether or not Optimum has actually sent this person to my house. Nobody actually helps and I can't connect to any local office.

Optimum is good or was good at bringing in the new customer. Optimum is terrible with customer support. Their billing practices are deceitful . Case in point: while waiting to turn my box in, i was in a line full of people asking about their bill and what they are paying for. Try to call a customer service human or enliven chat with someone. Good luck . You will see what I mean. However. To be fair. The person at the front desk was very nice. It's too bad she works for a horrible company.

I want to praise the courteous and professional service we received at this office. We were having problems with our TV service for weeks. A technician was sent. It was determined that we needed a new cable. A date was set but there was a mix-up. I went to the office to see what happened. Theresa and Dawn went above and beyond to reschedule our service for that same day. The technicians came and quickly strung a new cable wire. Our thanks to Rob and Joe for solving our problem. They made sure everything was working properly before they left. Again, I cannot praise the care we got. Many thanks.

The only reason I giving it five star is because of Sharon. Always friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a great customer service. And also she waited on 15 customers while the other two employees only had one customer the whole time. But Optimum is very, very, very expensive and quality of service on cable is terrible. So it gets 1 star. Only reason why for 5 stars because of Sharon. She needs to be recognized!!

Internet is the worst. I've been through 3 boxes in a year, and service still drops without cause and lately has been hours to days before it comes back.Techs have been great, but pretty sure after all that has been done, it is the actual service.

DO NOT USE THEM. Wish I could give zero stars, the customer service is horrible. No way to set up an appointment for my broken cable box to be swapped out. When I call to ask about it the number is an automated recording that offers no help and same thing if you try the app. Also my bill constantly continues to go up and I already dropped it to the basic service. I will be finding another cable company after the holidays.

Service is so bad!! Customer service is worse. Pay for the best service they offer and I have to reset my Wi-Fi everyday, basically does nothing. With Verizon I had to reset it once in 10 years, unfortunately it’s not available in our area now, blame our politicians for allowing that! Cable service is just as bad.Update: 2 months later I still have to reset my internet 3 times a day! Customer service sees that as normal and refuse to let me speak to a supervisor. Extremely rude! My smart devices constantly disconnect and need to be reset.

I had to get 2 new remotes because they suddenly stopped working. I spoke to 2 representatives who tried but failed to program the remotes. I finally spoke to Tammy who was great. She was patient and more than willing to help me. I was at my wits end and she calmy walked me through everything. She was extremely kind, curious and helpful and very knowledgeable.

Setup an account and paid for it online. A week later the tech showed up to install my equipment, but informed me he can't because the telephone pole has the wrong connection. He said they don't service the area. Then why I tried to cancel my account with customer service, they gave me a run around, never actually disabled my account and never refunded me the $40. I literally had to change my debit card. These people are scumbag beat artists (thieves). DO NOT EVER GET AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM.

1 of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Cringed I had to give 1 star just to post review. Customer service is absolutely horrible. We have had issues for over 1 month now of internet not working and still not resolved. 6 technicians to house, 1 line crew that was supposed to run a new line and only ran it on the pole but not to the house. I can’t even explain how frustrating this is that a company like this is even in business. My only advice is that if you have ANY other option for these services then make optimum your absolute last resort. My wife works from home so just imagine now being out of work for over 1 month at the expense of a service provider not providing you with the service you are paying for.

Workers are rude at this location leaving people outside in cold. As far as company, internet always goes out and they can't keep their appointment times. Was told 11-2 then when I call they tell me tech can't come until 3. No supervisors available to speak to. Horrible company, unfortunate there is no other option in area.

After closing the Matamoris store, it would be nice if they had more than one staff person in the office. The poor woman inside was trying to get a lunch break, but as its the only store in a large area, customers kept showing up and she did her best to help everyone. Was quick once I got inside, but it took awhile. 6 stars for her, 3 for the company.

When there is a problem, almost all the Customer Service Representatives have heavy accents and are hard to understand. I have to ask them to repeat their spoken word frequently. When there is an equipment problem, you must go to the store or FedEx the item back and pay for the shipping. Customer Service should be improved. The store was OK to deal with. The one star is for Optimum as a whole!

No point in making an appointment they don't follow the schedule. Just a bunch of people form a line in the freezing cold while 1 person at a time can go inside. Horrible service Horrible customer service.Update... the email address they gave is not monitored or no one cares. 3 days and no reply.Garbage costumer service. Garbage company who does not care about you.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! Waited outside in 92 degree weather while the doors were locked and people waited outside. The agent couldn't be more terrible at this Greenwood Lake location. So now not only is it terrible expensive service but the customer service at this location was even worse. Good luck to anyone that needs help.

On October 7th my cell phone was giving me issues. My husband and I ended up running to Optimum so I can just get a new phone. Long story short my old phone had a glitch from the new update. When transferring stuff from my old phone to my new one the glitch came with it. I am very grateful to the team because they all went above and beyond trying to figure out how to fix the issue, including staying an hour past closing. They did end up finding one other person with this same issue and were able to fix my phone. They were all so nice and patient.

If I could give negative stars I would!!!I picked up 2 boxes and ordered the ability to record along with other choices. When I got home neither box was able to record or rewind. I called customer service and they mailed me 2 USB plugs called "rewinders". Had to wait a week to receive them. Put them in but I was only about to rewind, still no ability to record. I then began my pursuit of trying to get this to work. Phone to the general service number and went through 4 reps before the last one gave me to a "tech" person. He couldn't figure it out either. I demanded to speak to someone in charge. They had to give me a "ticket" and a supervisor would call me. NO CALL came. I brought the boxes back to the store in Greenwood Lake, NY. They were very nice to me but couldn't help me with the problem so I discontinued all my service but I wanted my billing to reflect no charges back to the day I picked the equipment up since it NEVER worked properly.Now I got my regular bill and they charged me as if I still had the equipment and cable service. Back to calling the customer service phone. This time I had to wait 40 minutes to get the first person, then on to another person, and another. NONE of them could roll back my bill. At which point I demand to talk to a supervisor. She put in a ticket so a supervisor could call me back. Surprise NO ONE called me. I'm am now going to a different service for my Internet. Optimum simply doesn't care about their customers. This whole experience was a nightmare, my waste of time calling, being on hold, being shuttled to different people over and over again and even their "tech" person couldn't figure out the problem!!!!Never again! Stay away from Optimum. Now I'm having to fight to get that charge of $251.65 removed from my bill.

This should really be ZERO stars. Customer service Lies to customers constantly. I purchased guaranteed 100Mb years ago. Last year I was down to 1Mb for 4 months. I've been paying $104 per month.You can get customer service for Optimum adding a new line in under a minute, yet it takes at least 15 minutes to get customer service in you choose to cancel their services. I will NEVER use Optimum/CableVision again. Good Riddance..I just switched to Frontier 500Mb for $44/month using fiber optics. Before there was no competition. Now we have a choice.

I’ll be honest. Sometimes when dealing with large corporations involving my household and bills, things can go awry. I decided to take a trip to the Optimum retail store in my town, Greenwood Lake, to discuss my bill (I couldn’t get a hold of customer service by phone). Upon my entering, the store was very clean, neat, bright and inviting. Always a plus for me. I was greeted by a young man named Anthony. He was extremely helpful, patient, knowledgable and thorough when explaining what I needed to know about my bill. To see a young man with such poise who takes pride in his job is very refreshing. Ive worked in customer service/retail for the past 10 years so I do notice good and bad customer service. I will definitely be returning for any questions or issues I may have. Thank you for the great experience Anthony!

Absolutely horrible service, horrible customer service as well, the people that answer the phone aren’t even in America. I lose internet service at least 6 times a day, constant lagging and have to reset my router several times a day. I even pay 80$ a month for 400 mbps service and it’s terrible. I called about asking for a discount or refund and I get the same people saying no outages have been reported even though I went without internet for more the 24 hours yesterday. I want a discounted price period and they say there’s nothing they can do. I guess it’s time to switch to satellite service. Nothing but horrible all around

My service has been going in and out intermittently for the past few weeks. And I don’t mean like services is down for a few hours till they fix something I mean every few seconds it goes out and then comes back. Makes doing anything almost impossible.... been trying to call them to fix it but with no luck. Finally today I was able to get on a call back list. When they finally called me back I hear the person on the other line pick up, put the phone down and start what sounded like arguing with someone. I waited while listening to that for almost 5 minutes thinking that eventually they would stop arguing or whatever they were doing and try to help me but no luck. I eventually hung up. Their service is all together useless at this point...

12/28/2020 Unable to contact the store by phone for information. Arrived at store at 1pm to find out the store was closed from 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch. There were people waiting on line for the store to reopen. Upon opening, we find out only one person admitted into the store at a time and only one person working in the store. It was cold and totally frustrating but the savior was the lady behind the counter who was quick, friendly and professional. Kudos to her for a job well done

Cut the cord by dropping my last cable box. No hassle and fast. I kept the modem and saves about $60 monthly. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to avoid hours on phone trying to cancel the service.

If I could give optimum no stars it would be an improvement. There website indicates the office is open so I go to replace one of my cable boxes only to find out the place is closed. You would think a public company like that would be able to post that on there site I guess not. The money we pay them only matters not the people. I understand we are still in covid but at least set up appointments for such an easy transaction. The only stores open are 40 minutes into jersey or 50 minutes into Peekskill that's 2 hours drive time and gas. Then they want to charge me 60.00 dollar's installation fee just to bring me a new box I don't need it to be installed what a ripoff. It's time to look for other means of internet and tv. They don't need my money anymore. I think its time for Verizon to come into the area I know they have been keeping Verizon out of the area but if we start talking to Verizon and start canceling our accounts with optimum they will have no choice but to come in the area

We have not had internet service for 4 days but their computer showed no issues. The fact thT most people are working from home foes not seem to phase them. Poor customer service. Stated technician would come between 11 and 2. Of course he did not show up. Now stating that issue is outside the house and would take another 48 hours. We must petition government and congress to allow competition. Prices soaring with no customer service
