Beautiful store packed with outdoor wear and casual wear styles. Surprising to stumble upon extremely knowledgeable bootwear team. They can order the tough to fit sizes. Highly recommend a visit even if you don't need anything. The overall cleanliness and neatness of this store were only surpassed by its rugged charm. A rare treat.

I live on Long Island and every summer we go upstate for a week and stay at a place near the Westerner. My family and I love shopping at the Westerner - they have beautiful merchandise and quality clothing and shoes. This past summer I bought a vest for my husband. When he tried it on, he had trouble with the zipper; it wasn't working properly. I called them because I live three hours away. They told me if I shipped it back to them, they would send me a replacement. I just got an email from Don, the owner, that they received the vest and my new vest is on the way. They are also refunding my shipping cost to send the vest back. What great customer service! They will have our business every year, and I highly recommend that if you live near Greenville, NY, you visit this beautiful store!

Very nice store, friendly staff! But don’t let the name fool you. They have nothing western like. They should consider renaming it the Freehold/ Greenville Carhartt store. As that’s all they sell. No western shirts or boots, no hats. But Carhartt yeah, they got a lot of that! Don’t get me wrong good people, great store but false advertisement.

I walked in to kinda learn about longer lasting work boots. The gentleman that assisted me today could not have done any more for me. I went on recommendation of friends, and very glad I did ! I tried on like 4 different pairs of boots, walked around the store for a while in each, I actually felt bad I was taking too much time and he and staff just kept working with me. Hugely impressed and would definitely recommend to anyone!

So much magic. This amazing shop has been a staple my whole life growing up in Greene County. Gifts galore. For any and everyone on your list. Work wear, winter wear, and unique finds every corner you turn. It's an unexpected delight each and every time I pop in. And each and every time I have to fight the urge to forego my gift shopping and instead shop for myself! A family favorite decade after decade and it just keeps getting better.

Mostly overpriced items I would expect to find in department stores. Carhartt, treasure and bond, capri blue, are some of the brands (carhartt is half the shop).Don’t take kids or small children here as there’s curse words also on half of the merchandiseIt’s called the westerner, but they don’t have anything like cowboy hats, boots, that I would typically associate with the west. If you don’t want to pay a lot for fake boutiquey stuff than pass. Wish it was more local selection. Touristy. And the employees wear masks which are a joke

Nice shop in the middle of a small town. Clothes, name brand boots, and tons of nice small gifts. Earrings, bath lotions, books, handbags etc. A bit pricey. All around a nice shop to visit.

Rustic country clothing and gift store. Excellent, huge section of Carhartt and other brands of clothing. Beautiful selection of shoes, socks, toys, books, and many other items, some locally made. Sale section in the back, and ever changing stock make it worth the trip every time. My husband and I frequently shop here for specific items such as soap, and usually end up leaving with other items as well. Definitely worth a trip during Christmas time, or if you're in need of high quality work gear.

The selection of clothes is fantastic and always changing. The owners select quality products and the prices are reflective as such. Great place for cards, jewelry, and accessories (at least, those are the top reasons I visit!). A gem of a store in our small neighborhood.

Can't stop spending money at this place is a little pricey but it is worth what you're paying because everything lasts and it's good quality definitely get what you pay for here. Also everyone there is very nice and very helpful would recommend this place to anyone especially if you're looking for Carhartt.

Nice little cliche tourist boutique. A bit on the PG13 to R with a few of the displays, so not exactly for younger children who can read. A nice selection of general touristy knickknacks with not so clever slogans but at least not "all I got was this T-shirt" lowbrow. One could get some nice gifts here while on vacation. It was recommended as a winter boot/clothing store by a local. There is some decent outdoorsman stuff if absolutely necessary and not concerned about the prices which are noticeably high. If you were visiting the area and needed some emergency winter clothing, it is an option. It is the NY upscale equivalent of the Tshirt and lighthouse beach shop.
