A great store to have in Great Neck..Manager Ellie is so very polite, friendly, very helpful and very professional.. The store is always clean and always has what I need.. Cory is awsome..Always a big smile, ready to help, so very polite and pleasant..Great Neck is not an easy crowd, but this team handles everyone with good manners, and finesse. Thank you both for doing such a great job and for being in our town.

This store is well stocked and the staff is generally knowledgeable about their wide range of products. Much more convenient shopping than the big box stores.

9 time out of 10 will have what you need in stock without going to HomeDepot. 10 times out of 10 can order and have shipped to store. Great in stock plumbing supplies too. With constant coupons better prices than other stores as well.

I always use Benjamin Moore paint so I’ve been to a handful of local stores that sell it. This place has the best customer service in my opinion :) They had everything I needed and it feels great to support local business. Tommy is so helpful and friendly! Will definitely we back!!

Good selection for a local hardware store, you don't get lost nor impossible to find help like at Home Depot. Look on website tho they have more selection and just ship to store. I ordered a 2lbs mattock and they stocked it on the shelf instead of keeping it at counter with my other items in the order. No biggie, but good thing I browsed that section first and spotted it. Another time I asked the cashier price on an A-clamp, she joked A Million dollars, I gave a chuckle, but then kinda awkward silence for 20 sec as she never made offer to scan the price. I had to wait till other cashier got off the phone and she found out the price for me.

I am a local of Great Neck and very happy to have a hardware store in the town. The staff has also been polite and helpful over the years. Recently visited to have some keys made and the staff are not wearing masks correctly, pulled below their chins and not covering nose and allow customers to enter the store without any face coverings. It is a new world and retail stores need to lead by example. Going back to Home Depot

If you need a supply for a quick fix this is the place. They are local. Prices are competitive. Selection is good. I went for a thermostat and it didn't work. Took it back got a full refund quickly. Excellent staff.

I went to the car dealer for new electronic keys for two of my cars.Dealer wanted $200. for each new key plus another $200. each to program it. That's $400. for one key.Costello's did both of my cars for around $165. EACH instead of $400. each. that the dealer was charging.Dealer is stupid to charge so much. I won't go to that dealer to buy another new car after seeing that. Dealers are too GREEDY!!!

Great hardware store. They have almost anything and everything, and someone there who knows something about any questions about products you might have. So friendly and helpful! Amazing convenience and wide selection of products available. I needed to do a roof repair and they had multiple types of products available with exactly the tools I needed. (I'll need a professional roofer eventually but this store had everything I needed the day I needed it to address my immediate problem. On a Saturday after 5pm!)They are wonderful! Plus they had all the little bits and pieces I've been procrastinating about like new shower door roller wheels! And a replacement light switch, and a small auger for one of my house's clogged gutter drain. Great service and selection and convenience. Prices are competitive but the real benefit is carry out exactly what you need. Immediate stock and I didn't have to drive ages to another town to get what I need - and I'm supporting my local business. It's a win win win, and ultra convenient! A+++

I've been going to the Ace Hardware in Great Neck for number of years. Since the employee Zachary Stark has been there service has been impeccable.. I remember I used to go to the store and I would be getting no help because there was nobody on the floor. Now that Zachary has been there for a number of years I go there quite often to purchase hardware and hes always there with a smile, courteous, always willing to help. He is an asset to that store and would be an asset to the company.

need to hire new staff.Matt needs to learn how to do his job and be patient with his customers and not throw his hands around expressing himself as to how he's fed up.He needs to learn of the items that are sold in the store and not give "i don't know" as his answers.Take your happy pills on time Matt.Next time your attitude won't be tolerated.As for the the store, it has a good selection, just needs better staff.

Vinny came to our home and assembled our natural gas Weber grill. He did such an amazing job!!!Our outdoor gas line didn’t have the proper connectors for the quick connect. After visiting several other closer ACE hardware stores, whose staff had no absolutely idea how to help us— we travelled out of our way to this ACE hardware. Vinny knew the right size of reducing coupling and nipple connector we needed. He ordered for us right away since it wasn’t in stock and made the whole grill experience a breeze. Sorry our contractor ended up getting the reducing coupling so we didn’t come back. But we will head to this ACE hardware above all other ACE hardware. Worth the extra drive to go to this branch!!!

Be aware they will not apply Ace awards point to your card. I had to call, multiple times and go in few times. First time they said 24 hours, then points were applied to wrong account. It has been a week still no point. Also their on line pricing is different than in store price. The price of Vacuum was charged $64.99 yet on the phone it was $59.99. Once mentioned to them they pulled up on desk top showing $64.99. I showed them the price on my phone and they gave the difference back. However still no points after a week.

I went into the store today with my husband to buy some things. One of the employees was standing in an aisle with her mask off yelling at an employee in the next aisle. When I asked her politely to put her mask on she said that she didn’t need to because no one was in the aisle. I told her that she was yelling at someone and she said that she still didn’t need to put it on. I told my husband that we needed to leave the store because it wasn’t safe. Another employee apologized but we left the store. It is outrageous that she wouldn’t wear a mask when it is dangerous and it is a state law.

What a terrible store they do not appreciate their own employees and are extremely disrespectful to them as well. Their entire store is as well disorganized and many products are not correctly placed on the shelves with the right prices.Furthermore, their incompetentence and lack of customer care is a reason businesses like these fail and large companies like Amazon are destroying their profits. Save your money and order your products online.
