They will always help find something if I can't and if they can't they'll order it and call me when it comes in. The staff are very friendly and great with my children. They give them change out of their own pockets so my kids can get gumballs sometimes because I only bring my debit card. Best place in gouvernuer to shop for groceries

This review is specifically for the bakery and the woman who made my son's bday cake. I didn't catch her name, but she's blond and super nice. My son had his 3rd bday and asked for a crazy pink baby shark and dinosaur cake. I had no idea what to expect. When I picked it up I realized she did the most fabulous free hand! These pictures don't do the cake justice. Not only was the cake wonderfully decorated, it was moist and delicious. Thank you!

Polite staff. Shelves constantly being stocked around the clock by all levels of staff,, from floor to top management in attempts to keep up with the stress of "better safe than sorry" customer ideology over the covid 19 epidemic.

I always have great experiences at the Gouverneur, NY Price Chopper. I've gotten to know many of the employees, and it always feels like family there. The service is outstanding, and food is up to date with other areas.

This place is awesome I go there and I can find what I need and if I can not I ask and they point me in the right direction or take me too it. I also have been getting my birthday cakes here since I was 25 and they always do a excellent job never had a complaint about the work that is done on the cake. Today is my birthday and they yet again did an excellent job with the cake. Putting my dog who just past away on it and my and my brother's favorite team on it the Buffalo Bill's. It looks awesome keep up the good work.

Meat dept made an error on the buy one get one free. (Staff error). They honored it but repriced my chicken to a higher price to compensate for the error (so the price increase in the package I had with no price on it made up for the 2 for 1).Cashier I had today was friendly and helpful. I really prefer real people to scan yourself. She offered me help to my car. I'm here usually once a week and I've had shopping experiences than varied from ok to excellent.

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS AND EXPIRATION DATES!!!Last time I was in (mid July ‘22), 1 out of the 2 grapefruits I had bought was moldy inside when I cut it open 2 days later. Today when I went in, I was picking through the PIC Parmesan cheese located on the side of the end of in between aisle 9 & 10- I kid you not all but 4 were EXPIRED. Some were May 2022, some were this month (August 2022) but there were SEVERAL that were SEPTEMBER 2021!!! I brought one to the girl at checkout and told her but there seemed to be no urgency to get *year old expired cheese* off the sales floor. Then, after I checked out, I noticed 2 of the things I got didn’t ring up as the sales prices. I went back to read, took pictures, and went to customer service where they easily refunded the difference. But everyone PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR RECEIPTS AND EXPIRATIONS! This leaves a bad taste in my mouth about Price Chopper but unfortunately it’s too convenient to go someplace else.

Decent selection of food, prices a little steep, but not bad for a small chain, in a small town. Two stars for truly awful customer service. Cashiers aren't smart enough to shirk their duties out of the eyesight of exasperated customers. If you don't want to do your job...quit.

Love their selection. Prices higher overall, but if you can keep to only sale items, and/or use printout coupons, you can get a fair deal. I love to get reduced meats, and freeze them for later. Always wind up with fun variety of foods from there....

Has a great variety of fresh meat and produce, but just a few items greatly impacts how much you spend even with Advantage card. Would be 5 stars if they were more friendly with prices.

I went in to Price Chopper on Sunday December 12th at about 5pm. I went threw the line. Cashier didn't ask me my advantage card. I had to bag my own groceries. The FES wasn't doing anything. I complained on my Facebook page, and one of the customers service members comments on my post. Her comment will be in the photo. These are the type of people that work there. They don't care about the customers. I used to work there and I'm glad I don't anymore

Great store and great prices. Usually a little slower on weekends around midday and at night cus they shut off the so it yourself cash registers. Idk why. But employees are not always the best ans most polite so that why I gave it four instead of five stars. But their fresh just baked food to go is actually really good. Which is the only thing that saved this review. Their chicken is to die for and that's why they got 4 stars.

This is my local grocery store so I go here quite often. Many of the young kids dont know how to bag. I came home to smush bread, so I am always reminding them to keep my bread and eggs separate. There is one young kid with brown shaggy hair that is very kind and bags. Besides him be careful with the young kids bagging for you. The only other things it's hard buying produce here I waste so much lettuce and other vegetables because they are brown or turn brown the day after. So I wish there produce section was more fresher. But I rather go here than save-a-lot.

They have pretty near everything, but very few if any bargains. The coupon booklet we get in the mail has shrunk to nearly nothing, and, who's brainstorm was it that eliminated our 10 cents off gasoline for every $100.00 we spent in the store???? The so-called "Points" we now get leave little doubt about your corporations bottom line greed !!

Great produce, very fresh and diverse. Deli offers top choice meats and cheeses, very accommodating. Great for picking up sale items and speciality items but would not shop generic and or full priced price items because they're much cheaper at save a lot or Aldi type stores.

They have everything you need and then some! Friendly courteous staff, ever willing to help. They have a good supply of electric carts for disabled people. Simply, an enjoyable shopping experience!

This is our local grocery store and it's clean and has a good variety of items. The prices are a bit high, but we're very rural and it's that way at most of the local grocery stores up here. They do have really good sales and coupons so that helps.

Refused to take a deli platter order stated they needed 24 hours, I wanted the platter in exactly a 24 hour time frame. The deli staff was extremely rude as well.

They are a basic grocery store, but don't carry much outside of basic groceries. Their staff is usually helpful and friendly, but they won't order things for you and won't follow suggestions on what to carry.
