This organic working farm and eatery is a must visit for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend a few hours on nature. Less than 1 1/2 hours from NYC, there are meet and greets with animals and dedicated farmers. There are tours of the farm and sampling of the many organuc recipes and all natural products grown and raised there. For the more serious among us, they offer workshops on bee keeping, farm crafts, herbal medicine and the art of crepe making! And every season brings something new!

Can’t say enough good things about this gem of a place! Environment, food, workshops, products all great… they grow their own ingredients for delicious food, teas, oils, syrups (not to mention produce). Their free roaming chickens supply eggs; their well cared for sheep supply wool and wool items. Everything produced here is wholesome and pure. Wonderful people keep this regenerative farm running. Mascot goose and doggies very well behaved, too! Nice laid back environment to enjoy, eat, pick flowers and learn. You will feel very welcome here on these beautiful grounds. Thank you!

The place and the hosts are awesome. We spent a few days at the farm, helping with the flowers, learning about the animals. We highly recommend stopping by the farm to meet Alix and her team. You will always find something to do, something to learn, or just a place to rest and escape your problems.

This farm is a true Hudson valley gem ! The food from the market was 10/10 and presented like a true work of art, brought out on a vintage tray with mismatched China plates and food and drinks adorned with edible flowers and fresh herbs. So beautiful and also delicious :) there is an adorable area outside with tables to eat at. Picked up some fresh produce from the farm stand as well and had the best golden raspberries (I believe that’s what they’re called)! Also they have the most beautiful flowers and a goose on the farm. Will definitely be back to try one of the workshops soon!

Such a lovely farm! Everything you see and eat is from the farm. Fresh, organic; farm to table. The employees are so friendly and knowledgeable. The food is so tasty and filling. There’s loose tea, yarn, hats, and more for sale in the store. The 2 dogs and the duck were honestly my favorite.Such a peaceful vibe. There’s picnic tables, paths for little walks, a water fountain and more. I didn’t walk the entire property. There is also activities for kids and adults!I will certainly be back!

Excellent food at this true farm-to-table hidden gem of a place. Service is friendly and efficient. The goose is quite the character. Pick up farm fresh produce, enjoy a great lunch, then go for a scenic walk through the farm afterwards.

We had such a great time while here. Food was outstanding (fudge pops made with sheep’s milk was a hit amongst the kids). Had a beautiful farm. The place was very special!! The photos tell the story!

I've been to the farm multiple times now and every time it's been a pleasure. Alix and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the animals are curious and sweet, and the food is delicious! Come for the quiet and stay for the food. Their workshops are great too, teaching everything from fiber arts to sauce making to mushroom inoculation! Can't wait to come back.

I had the pleasure of attending an amazing Smash and Stitch workshop at the AOOA Farm. The class was beautifully curated, fun and informative and the food provided by the farm was fantastic. We were treated to a tour of the farm by the owner, she's smart and passionate about what she does and her joy in what she does is evident, it was easy to fall in love with the place! I can't wait to go back!

This weekend I visited AOOA upon the recommendation of Stacey at La Colina where my husband and I were staying for a wedding nearby. I honestly had no intention of spending time in the county with the exception of the wedding. I had planned to spend our free time this weekend traveling to some other Hudson Valley towns that I knew had some interesting spots to visit. However’s Stacey’s description of AOOA complete with their friendly Goose Bilou convinced me we had to visit. And I was in no way disappointed. In the brief time I was there I had an incredible lunch and dessert, saw an educational class taking place that I wish I had where I live, walked around their inspiring farm grounds with innovative, smart, sustainable practices, enjoyed a visit with their friendly farm friends, and got to have lovely conversation with some of the kindest, funniest, knowledgeable, hard working ladies around including Alix Daguin. It was delightful and inspiring. After I left the farm after our wonderful lunch I immediately started doing further research on the farm, it’s educational offerings, and it’s farming practices because it was so fascinating. And I also immediately relayed what I had learned to my family in North Carolina and suggested they plan a trip to visit themselves. I can only imagine how much more compelling the farm would be to tourists like myself with what they have proposed next with their farm-to-table restaurant!

We had such a special experience at AOOA farm. It’s as if your own family invites you over to spend time together, while also teaching you about a working silvopasture regenerative farm, then inviting you to make art in nature and makes you the most delicious homemade goodies! My son and I attended the Art on the Farm class and BOTH had such a wonderful time! As an arts educator, I know the work that goes into creating enriching educational experiences for children and everyone at AOOA did an incredible job. We both left beaming from ear to ear. Looking forward to our next visit!

Had brunch at AOOA today. It’s always the perfect spot. I love their perfect egg which they seem to offer all season - that red sauce is incredible. I also tried their stuffed squash and gaspacho. And their fudge popsicle is the best, richest, most delicious chocolatey treat I have ever had. Bought a bunch of stuff at the farm stand on the way out… veggies, squash, pickles, baked goods. I’m well stocked up for the rest of the week!

I attended a childrens' art program at the farm with my 3 year old son. It was amazing! The perfect blend of farm life, structured program and exploring time. Can't wait to go back!

We had a very unfortunate encounter at this farm today. Several big clear signs stated that during off hours there is self service, and explained the payment system for anything that is picked off hours, and a worker welcomed us to look around, so we did that for about five minutes.Suddenly a woman, (I assume the owner) appeared, and ‘sic’ed her two dogs on us while yelling that the place is closed. With the dogs jumping all over us, sniffing us from head to toe we couldn’t even get out. Some of our kids were terrified and we asked her to call the dogs back, but she just watched and laughed. Only once we managed to get to divert them without her help and returned to our car did she call them back in. Of course, they obeyed her immediately.I can’t understand how someone can advertise a self service policy and then drive out a quiet family with dogs. Unless, of course, they have an issue with our race, as we are a minority race.

AOOA FARMS is pure magic! The whole property is planned out so well. The adorable dogs and Bilou the goose. It’s like you are in a fairytale. But what I’m so obsessed with is their food. I cannot believe a place of this quality and level exists in this area! I come here to eat almost every weekend. Menu changes depending on what’s in season. The chef is very talented and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. I’ve also taken several classes here and they are amazing and very well run. Oh and they have the BEST eggs! I buy a dozen every week. Nothing else compares. Try them and you will see!

This is entirely because of customer service- it’s fine to not be dog friendly but whoever answered the phone didn’t need to read me the riot act as to why you’re not. A simple “Nope unfortunately we don’t allow dogs” will suffice or put it clearly on your website if you’re that passionate about it

What a little gem of a place, humbly nestled in the countryside. We came for brunch and everything we ate was incredible. The ratatouille was perfect. The chicken salad divine, and the fudge popsicle awesome. Hard to believe that everything we ate is from that farm itself, from the chickens to the leafy greens. I would recommend a fizzy drink + treating yourself one of the desserts.Plenty of outside seating with shade. We grabbed a bunch of fresh produce + eggs to go, as well.If you go, you’ll also get to meet a friendly goose!

What a magical spot. Such a delight to enjoy an incredible meal made entirely from the farm's own harvest. We came with our 1yo and he loved meeting the animals and walking around the fields. Alix and her team are so hospitable and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect for if you wish you were in the French countryside. A hidden gem with delicious food, run by the family that founded D'Artagnan foods. Great place for kids to roam around and see a few animals.

Great fresh poultry meat such as Turkey, Roosters, Chicken and Duck. Fresh eggs and tons of other stuff including chestnuts. Reasonable pricing for organic food. I had a good time and this is my favorite farm even though I visit all the farms in the area.

The food at this farm is PHENOMENAL! I can’t stress that enough! From their chive buns to their kojinut popsicles. I don’t live close by but it’s worth the hour drive just for those kojinut popsicles trust me.
