Update: I did eventually get to return my item but it took reporting the issue to their corporate office. I’ve never had an issue like that in the many years I’ve used Lowe’s as my primary hardware store. I hope it doesn’t happen again because outside of that I’ve had great service at Lowe’s both online and in person.I don’t often write negative reviews because as a former retail worker I know how frustrating these jobs can be. However, after trying to return an item that was easily within the return policy and being brushed off and told “well I can’t sell that” I’m beyond frustrated. Resale value is not listed in the return policy publicly posted. I purchased the wrong prepackaged cable and am now out $250 due to an honest mistake. I had opened one side of the plastic wrap, and resealed it immediately without unspooling more than the two feet of wire that popped out. The staff were not willing to help in the least. I even called the corporate help line and was told the item qualified for a return but they couldn’t override a store decision (which I understand, normally trusting your employees is the way to go). I just got an overwhelming sense of apathy and disdain from the staff which left me feeling bad. At the end of the day it’s not worth losing sleep over but the overall lack of customer care or concern at this location was concerning. This transaction wasn’t worth much to Lowe’s but it was to me and they couldn’t have cared less.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They had my mower for 4 months to be serviced and this is how it was returned to me…in far worse condition then I gave it to them in. The blades were clearly not sharpened, they tied a wire around the broken cord to fix it, it’s rusted and had weeds growing out of it! They were kind enough to give me a free bag attachment which was full of old clippings!!!! The best part is that when I started the mower it still doesn’t run properly. Not only did they destroy my lawn mower they had terrible customer service. I had started calling weekly to check the status since they had it for so long and often was placed on hold for very long periods of time just to be told someone would call me back…but never did. The answer I was given was that they needed to locate the mower but once they did someone would call me with a status, I had to call weekly for months until they finally told me it was ready to be returned. I am disgusted with their lack of care for other peoples property and lack of customer support especially considering I had purchased the mower through lowes.

First visit there for paint. Mr. Karl and Mrs. Ann, in paint department was so helpful and went out of their ways to help me. Paints variety available here is so much better. Place was nice and friendly customer service.

Great place for building supplies, home improvement, lawn and garden equipment, tools, appliances, and more. Staff is helpful most of the time depending on how long they've been working there. I've only had one project recently that I wasn't able to find what I needed although I had a feeling they probably didn't carry exactly what I was looking for but felt it was worth checking anyway.

I had placed an online order, my order never delivered I called corporate they called the store that my order was being filled by. I received a call the same day from Joe Krawiec he explained that it was a computer glitch he tried to fix it Joe called me back to keep me updated on what was happening but we had to reorder it, Joe guided me through the process of reordering it and made sure it was correct. The next morning he checked on it called me immediately and said that my order had been shipped and I should receive it on Tuesday, which I did!. Joe made me feel as though I was the only customer he had to deal with for 2 days! He took time to listen to me complain! I felt he understood my frustration. And he followed up with me!!! You don’t get customer service like that anymore!! Like I said he followed up the next day with a phone call!!Thank You Joe Krawiec!!

Hostile toxic work environment, management plays favorites, low pay, Don't send your W-2 after you leave. Worst employer you can possibly work for. I'm sorry I wasted over a year and 7 months there it was a complete waste of time. The only positive experience were some of the great colleagues I got to work with. That's where all the perks ended.

Wes at the Glenmont location was the star of the show. He was extremely helpful and very friendly when it came to helping with a project that me and my fiancé have. This now is my home store. Check him out he’s Great !!!!

Very helpful, friendly staff. I could spend hours here, looking at all the tools, parts, cleaning supplies, paints, decorations, etc. If you have the Lowe's app, set it to whichever store you're shopping, and search for things you're looking for. It will tell you if it's available in-store, and exactly which aisle it's in. And if you're not sure where the aisle is, the app can also show you a store map, pinpointing the aisle location. Great for people who don't want to ask for help, or if you have anxiety about it.

Lowe’s has lost my business. I received a fridge unwrapped it and had a dent in the front. Called and talked to 2-3 different people they took my name and number down and I was told I’d receive a call back.. a month later and nothing.. thanks for nothing

I’ll give a decent review if I found out they made an honest mistake charging my girlfriend for wire when the receipt said ornamental grass in the tune of 195$ instead of 15$ for wire. She didn’t know any better but customer service will be the saving grace….also want to talk to whoever sold her a 20 gallon expansion tank that wasn’t needed, the wrong questions could’ve been asked and the advice given, which is an honest mistake, but I need to find that out. Don’t be the store that rips people off, another made that mistake and it was wrong for what they did. Went from 2 stars to 4 stars, honest mistakes were made and the conversation got mixed up, but for what he thought the situation was he gave solid advice. Thank you guys for clearing it all up!

Just to let you know....if you buy something from Lowes and you use PayPal....it has to get returned through PayPay even if you have the credit card it was assigned to online in your hard....just a little tidbit to save you time. They were friendly once the associate was shown what to do.

The go to store for hardware and miscellaneous,my electric supply stores got me covered but Lowe’s and Home Depot are there in the off hours +convenient locations and they carry some of the premium products that I use. Tons of supplies and the people are always extremely willing to help find an item.

I am usually a Home Depot guy and will drive past lowes to get there. This was xmas eve and I found out the Grandkids were coming the next day. The hooked me up with a 50%off tree and gave me their lights for decorations. I was able to make 2 kids very happy with the magic of Xmas.Thank youI know it looks like a Charlie Brown tree. I had them trim it like that due too space restrictions

I came in to get some indoor plants. I’m a new plant owner and was already kinda confused with what I was buying. I went to the self checkout where an associate completely took over and decided to charge me for 5 plants when I clearly got 4. She told me that the pot it was planted in was “extra” I didn’t think this was true since it was just a plain black plastic pot. I’m very discouraged since my total amount was close to 100 and I only got 4 smaller plants. I’ve never had an issue at Lowe’s before but I don’t understand how they can charge me for 5 things when I clearly only got 4.

We had a carpet installed a month ago, when I came home I walked across the room and stepped in something wet. I looked and there was a stain that looked like ink. I called the store and was told the installation company wanted to try to get it out, they would be over at 2:00. They came at 6:30 and very aggressively scrubbed at it making it worse. An associate named Emily told us a new carpet was ordered and it would be about ten days. Thirty days later I am calling the store and no one can give me any information. The flooring person said she was the store manager. To them this is a joke, for us a disruption as we cannot move out things back into the bedroom. What bothers me the most is them trying to trick me, hoping we wouldn’t notice.

I have been a customer of Lowe’s forever. But today was my last purchase. I had a sump pump that failed after 28 days. I was able to return it but I needed one immediately as water was still raising in the sump. I got another model of the same manufacturer. It was $40 more expensive because it has a different trigger system. I asked the manager for a discount as a way to compensate for the water in my basement. I was told pretty much that it was my problem and if I wanted, I could go after the manufacturer. He may be within his rights as the manager. But I’m on my right to take all my business somewhere else.

They usually have what I need. Several times recently tjough I needed assistance and no one showed up. I was told, "Oh well, they must be on break". Very frustrating. Most recently, I needed a specialized electric outlet. When they couldn't help me, several nearby customers asked me electrical questions because they assumed I knew what I was talking about. I ended up buying the outlet on Amazon and it was delivered the next day.

If I could give zero stars..I would.My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer on a Monday for delivery on that Friday. We received a phone call Thursday night for delivery time between 11am-3pm on Friday. We waited around all day and still nothing. At 6pm I called the store and not one person could give me an answer on where my washer and dryer were. They finally showed up at 7:45pm, the delivery guys were very nice and completely exhausted. They kept apologizing for being late and explained how they had 27 deliveries and still needed to go to Rome before the night was over, and that drive was almost 2 hours one way. I felt horrible and gave them both a tip for helping us carry them in and one of the guys about cried. Shame on Lowe’s and their dispatch for their deliveries. After hearing how over worked and exhausted they were and how Lowe’s constantly does this I probably will never purchase another item from here. Those poor men deserve to be treated like humans and not they way they were. Do better, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

Bathroom retile job. Purchased tile at Lowes. When I opened the boxes, almost all the field tiles were scratched. This was not because of anything Lowes (or I) did wrong, it was because unlike all the other tile manufacturers, Satori put nothing between each tile. They spent all the time from the factory to my home banging into each other. Joe the manager of Lowes Glenmont and Averil, his trusty assistant, spent hours on a busy Saturday checking each tile and replacing the seven boxes of tile with unscratched tile. They went over and above to make the situation right. I can't say enough good about them and every other employee we met at the store. THANK YOU.
