Truly one of a kind grocery store and the highlight of the area. Quality gourmet foods, fresh or prepackaged. Enormous cheese and fish selection. Excellent baked goods. It's fun just to browse this store, you never know what you'll find.

Went many times over the years. Usually, it was very pleasant and has delicious food with friendly employees, but twice I was tricked into buying spoiled meat and didn't find out til after I made it !The first time I bought bacon from the meat dept, the sticker on the package said 1/25 expiration. Okay, no problem, that's weeks away. After cooking it and smelling a rancid smell, I double taked the package and noticed the package date itself expired 2 weeks ago ! So why was the sticker date a month and a half later ?Months Later, I bought some steaks for a decent price. Cooked it up to another rancid smelling odor. Didn't even try it. Threw it out.This market is good for their pre-made dishes, but the lack of a "packed on date" on their meat products has lost my trust in the entire stores idea of fresh food.

I have been away from shopping at NSF for more than a year now. But lately I am back again. Still, NSF is one of unbeatable local supermarkets in terms of quality, freshness, variety and very reasonably priced.I particularly like the seafood department. Because like I mentioned in my previous reviews this section offers many fresh/ previous frozen organic/wild caught fish and other seafood. The display stand is always tidy and unsoiled. Yes, service should be the number one priority in any business besides quality. NSF certainly does not fall short on it.Here, at NSF, the man who is the master behind the scene is Raymond (the manager of the seafood department I believe, also mentioned in my previous reviews). He is a few good men who has high EQ, has absolute street smartness and he interacts with customers. For example, today he asks me where I have gone for shopping because he hasn't seen me for so long. He remembers seafood I buy and offers me some very nice fish etc. the conversation is simple but makes me feel special and feel like an old friend. For that how any customers wouldn't be loyal?Most staff who work at produce depart are also good. They seem to be caring and diligent. They make sure all produce are sparkling. They try to help you even they don't speak much English. That actually gives some characters to the store. Sometime, words are not necessary. Feel warm people more by actions.In short, I am glad we have NSF in the neighbor.

I’ve shopped here on and off for years. Yesterday I went back again because I was in Seacliff and it reminded me why I stopped going. I bought two artisan cheeses. Both were spoiled. I bought bananas that looked ripe but we’re spoiled. They had very little wild, caught fish. And most of all the price for anything in the store is the most expensive I have seen and that includes Whole Foods. I guess they’re lucky to have a captured audience on the North Shore because they sure don’t earn it.

This review is of the deli counter. The rest of the store is fine, but lately the deli is bad. Their store turkey used to taste fresh and was better than any other in the area. Now it's slimy and tastes like processed garbage. And for some reason lately I can't seem to get roast beef that hasn't been burnt.

Great local grocery store. Nice Brady produce and their fish and meat department is some of the best. My only constructive feedback which they have no control over is that it is a little tight. And I forgot to mention their homemade raviolis. They are superb

Some of their products are a bit pricey and they are often out of staple items such as bread and water. The other day when I made an order they were out of potato chips, didn't have one bag. Overall, it's a good store.

Great stuff if you are an alert shopper. Produce used to be better, especially apples in harvest season. Be careful to check pricing of sale items as well as expiration dates. You can do well and they have some really nice things but you definitely have to pay attention. Worth it for the baked bread alone.

I love North Shore Farms for their excellent selection of fresh fruit & foods. I go there at least once a week for the meats, breads and other great stuff. # stars - but this experience alone only rates 1 star. It pains me to say this- but I recently catered a small party from them. I ordered their 3 ft chicken & mozzarella hero (and other appetizers); however, I was very disappointed and embarrassed. The chicken was dry and tough- basically inedible. Everything about it tasted at least a day old. Shame on you NS Farms- this how you destroy good will and reputation.

Lovely store with mostly friendly staff and excellent produce. Sometimes the checkout people are preoccupied with chatting each other up and not focusing on your purchases, but if you smile and are friendly they are as well.The store does not seem to accept bottle or plastic bag returns. It is also very narrow, so if it's crowded people tend to get a bit cranky, especially around busy times like holidays. Good deli counter, nice fish/lobster and sushi selection and excellent large cheese selection.

Really good, they have some of the best cuts of meats you can find in the area, they are a bit pricey but you are getting solid quality. They have perfect cuts and meat selected for BBQ's and their fruit is fantastic. The staff is always busy, so finding help can be difficult but they are friendly.

This was my second time at this location in the last three weeks. So on the positive side, this location is larger the the ones in Port Washington and also Mineola, which means a wider selection. I got something I had never seen in the other stores - chicken wings. They were very good, along with their homemade spinach Seems to have better management also.Negative stuff - produce section is not run well. Many items have no prices shown, while other prices were kind of difficult to see. Today, there was an employee removing the outer layer of some type of lettuce, and just throwing them on the floor, right where customers were walking. No gloves, bare hands on the product and just tossing them all around, totally oblivious to everyone around her. Five minutes after she was done, another woman came along with a broom and swept up the pile. Not sanitary, so it makes me question if any employees have been trained in food handling or infectious disease prevention. Wash your produce well if you shop here and watch out for sloppy, hazardous behaviors.

Great supermarket! Unbelievable, huge selection of cheeses -- imported and local, greater than I've seen anywhere. Very nice selection of meats. Love their selection of freshly roasted coffee. Lots of organic products available as well. The pricest are not the cheapest but reasonable, only slightly more expensive for comparable goods to Stop and Shop, for example, and more quality products.

Most reasonable A grade green grocers in the area compared to the couple of ridiculously expensive organic food store on Forest Ave. They staff is always willing to help with picking fresh fruit. They will gladly help you pick ripe fruit and best vegetables. Super cooked food variety with plenty of samples available for tasting. Love this market. Total bang for your buck.

Tremendous cheese department. They have lots of prepared foods and various spreads, sauces, soups and pastas and organic produce. They do same day DELIVERY! A couple items were missing, but a very nice staff person had them delivered the same day thankfully since we really needed them. Thanks!

Not only is there no cell phone service anywhere in the store to check recipes or call to ask questions, but the aisles are so small I feel like I'm gonna knock something over everytime I visit. Plus the lack of covid safety shown is upsetting to say the least. The one positive is they do have a great assortment of products.

Sad to say I have shopped her for over 20 years and will not return. Employees need to be educated on how to treat patrons. Sorry to say they failed in every way.
