The best store for local favorites. Unique items and quality foods. This store has been a family favorite for years - here my family enjoys healthy mushrooms and meats while we also find unique heath foods and other items. As a daily grocery store, yes, I agree, it’s on the pricy side, but for scouting new health items, it is a gem! Totally worth the 1.5-hr drive from north of NYC.Adding to that, I love my alpaca hat and have been getting wool socks from here for years - usually a pair at a time. If you visit, make sure to check out the back for some clothing and other goodies such as natural wax candles with essential oils.

Came here for the past 25 years…this used to be a great community meeting place…and everything was so much better..now even more overpriced market quality food …the food bar has the same food day after day..hot dogs with fixings no longer included sauerkraut, they now sell day old bread for full price…as well it has air added making giant holes..the loafs are tiny now and never sliced before 9 am! there is no more toaster for bagels …no butter for bread at the soup station..as well the soup had been watered down…and looks like random leftovers as their are weird combinations..at last, there is no longer a cafe section only more registers with conveyor belts..😩

Ridiculously overpriced, I paid $12 for a small bag of chips and a pre-packaged sandwich. The bread was stale and the lettuce wilted. Hawthorne Valkey clearly doesn't care about making healthy food accessible to low income people. This is a store for the wealthy and privileged.

The produce seems fresh and some of them are from their own or local farms, but the price is definitely on a higher end. I bought a coffee flavored yogurt made at Hawthorne Valley Farm. It was delicious!

Nice selection, but I was a bit underwhelmed since the prices were so high. I also expected a little bit more fresh local goods (like baked goods) and not as much frozen. Still a worthwhile stop, recommended.

It's really cute place. Though smaller, yet better options than whole foods. Also, what they have at buffet is really yummy. They have tables and chairs as well as picnic tables where u can enjoy purchase

Price gouging? $6 cider donuts are $10 herefrom a supplier 4 miles away. Many products not available.Prepared foods mostly outsourced.I had to ask for my receipt.Strange vibe. Someone hung up on me.Not the same store we HAD been patronizing for 15 years.

This place is beautiful. The store is well organized and has an unmatched array of groceries/produce and home essentials. The store layout is well-thought out and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, with a mind for safety given the current pandemic. Overall, this is a wonderful store!

I love being able to support the farm store when I can, be prepared to spend extra to support this small farm store. Hawthorne Valley ferments and dairy are delicious. Beeswax candles and homeopathic medicine is available here. The renovation of the store has been disappointing, lining check out aisles with sugary last minute grabs just like the supermarket. We miss the charm of the old store layout, which seemed to highlight their Bakery and biodynamic farm practices. Nevertheless, a convenient health food market solution with a bit of everything. Thank you for keeping open the hours you do.

Been shopping here for 12+ years and it's wonderful to have seen them grow through that time. Their ferments, raw milk, and yogurt is incredible. They have a huge variety for a farm store. Plus their buying club options are beyond helpful for locals-- definitely a unique service that helps people buying in bulk.

Their food is fantastic and fresh! They have great selection of items. A bit on the pricey side but you do get great quality items. Not like your everyday stores!

Great little health foods store nestled in the countryside just a short distance off the Taconic State Parkway. Enjoyed browsing their selection of teas, local brews, cheeses, veggies, dairy, and frozen goods. Picked up some açaí sorbet and polish kielbasa. Prices are a tad high, but so is the quality to match. It was worth the short drive to check it out while in the area.

Great little grocery store! For how small the place is, the selection is excellent. Lots of local items to choose from, some grown or raised right at the farm. You can get all the essentials at a reasonable price and the employees are so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this store!

What a truly wonderful place! Such a broad selection of foods and home goods. I love the freshly made wraps to go and the seating area outside is very nice. Pleasant and friendly staff and an overall calm and uplifting atmosphere. Local, fresh and exceptional quality!

Great selection of a variety of organic foods and farm to table items. And while I realize organics run higher in prices, this place was a bit over-priced. Very clean and organized store with friendly staff. But many (not all) of the prices pushed us away.

Been shopping here for over 30 years! The staff is, and always has been, nothing but kind and helpful! I am also always so impressed with their selection (high quality AND often several options to choose from), especially impressed by how many local items they carry (including their own of course)!Thank you for being here and being so supportive of our local community!

Nice store but pricey, be prepared to pay. Big section of fruits and vegetables, dairy, breads, nuts, beauty, house goods. Everything you would find in a grocery store but the health food version. They have nice hot prepared food there, we often go for lunch. If it is nice you can sit outside and it is lovely.

A bit pricey compared to other markets, but they do have significant sale prices on certain items, and many items in bulk such as herbs / coffee / dried foods. They make many of their own products from the creamery and kraut cellar, plus biodynamic veggies in season, and their bakery is outstanding (try the cinnamon buns fresh in the morning). They also have a food bar with both hot and cold items - the food there varies quite a bit from day to day and hour to hour in both menu and quality. Customer service is competent and professional. The farm store helps to support various other aspects of the farm, so you're shopping for a good cause.

Only place for organic biodynamic grass fed raw milk, organic biodynamic yogurt, cheese, vegetables, lacto-fermented sauerkraut, organic traditional German sourdough rye breads, and a small grocery with many other local & organic foods.

I've been here many times, usually on a day trip to get lunch, and to take in the vibe of the community. The food is always outrageously good and the atmosphere tranquil. There are few places like this, where such cooperative values and commitment to high quality organic food production are so intrinsically linked. This sort of symbiotic relationship between humanism and the environment is the antidote for corporate America. We need more places like Hawthorne Valley.

This store is great with excellent customer service. I love the specialty cheese and charcuterie items that are hard to find. The hot food bar is on point too!! The BBQ pulled pork is heavenly.

I stop in every so often when in the area. It's a year round, open daily indoor farmer's market. Expect to see more consciously sourced local products than a typical grocery store. Feels safer shopping here since they are strict about the number of shoppers permitted at any given time. Leave yourself extra wait time accordingly.
