They certainly understand cats and inform you of what’s really needed and what the cost will be. Wonderful staff: very friendly, knowledgeable and really show their love for cats. They helped me understand some things about my cat, so that I wasn't worried about nothing. I enjoyed bringing my cat there, and she felt safe with the staff. Both me and my cat get stressed for annual exams, but my cat was very well-behaved and well-handled. There was even a vet in training that got some experience with my cat. I will definitely be coming back, and bringing new cat friends here in the future.

Our sweet girl wasn't eating, getting bony and she's only a year old. They got us in same day! Other vets were booking a week out. They did bloodwork in house, gave her fluids and meds to reduce her fever... They called to check in on her progress the next day. And sure enough, our girl seems back to herself. Very happy with our experience! Thanks for taking such good care of our Lucy!! ❤️

What an amazing visit!! Our cat, Dean, had been acting odd all weekend. When we took him to his old vet, we were told he had diabetes and the only thing that would save him would be hospitalization for a minimum of 3 days that would cost $5000!! When my husband asked if we could take him home and think about it, they sent him home with no meds and said, threateningly, that we would "have to talk about his quality of life. Through tears, I searched the Internet to find a second opinion. That brought us to Summer Street, and I'm so glad it did!! From thoroughly explaining everything to us, to coming up with a game plan, we left the office with meds and were confident that our boy was in good hands. He even had a little accident in his carrier and the kind vet tech cleaned it for us!! His last office certainly would not have done that! I appreciate the transparency when it comes to the cost of everything. I only regret not making the switch sooner!!

Very expensive. Dr. Otterson is the most condescending and rudest vet I've ever met, didn't listen to a word you said, always came into the room hurried to leave, never spent more than 10 minutes in an appointment (but charged you $75 per exam), never answered your questions. He never even cared or wanted to help your cat get better.This clinic is very slow in response to inquiries. Some receptionists are rude and uncompassionate.For a cat clinic, you'd think that they would handle your cat gently, but they almost manhandle them.

Dr Trish is sooo knowledgeable and such a professional that I have complete 100% confidence in her. We have seen her for years. There is no one else I would recommend to figure out a complex problem.Vet tech Suzanne, is awesome!! She is kind and gentle and all of my cats have always loved her, especially Kit. I always ask for Sue because I know that no matter how upset or anxious my cats are, Sue will soothe them and get them through their appts with the least amount of stress. I did not have a good experience at this vet clinic with my male cat. He had a wound on his back leg and I took him in immediately. The vet seemed frustrated and wasn't sure what was going on. Prescribed meds which I gave him. I took him there again as the meds did not work, they suggested a biopsy but could not get him in for 3 mos. I had to go to a different vet for service. The new vet said the antibiotics were not strong enough to fight his infection. They put a drain in him to drain the infection, but it was too late. I went to Summer Street 3 times to resolve this and even though I was a regular customer, they could not prioritize and schedule me sooner or even prescribed adequate medication.Their lack of ability to diagnose and treat was upsetting. It was obvious that they were not going to help me and I cannot tell you how I felt as I scrambled to find another vet. I lost my cat - which I feel if I got timely and adequate service, he would still be with me. I had to change vets for my other cat. I felt like I was left with the job to play vet and search the internet for answers. They have gone to vet school and have years of experience and they seemed to know very little.

Dr. Otterson has a terrific “cat side manner”. His examination of our 2 cats was thorough, his experience was evident and he has excellent communication skills. I would recommend Dr. Otterson without reservation or hesitation.

By far... the best vet I've taken my two cats (in 12 years and 3 states). From the first appointment, I've never seen my cats more calm at a veterinarians office.Very compassionate, very knowledgeable, and their customer service is above and beyond.If you have cats, and you love them... I highly recommend this place. I think there's another location as well.

As a new client I could not have asked for more! From my initial phone call with Ann to the vet tech that spent time getting to know my cat to the Dr. spending time answering all my questions I couldn't have asked for more. Reasonable pricing for top notch service and most importantly a happy and healthy cat! The staff at Summer Street love cats and caring for cats. The vets are good at presenting available treatments without pushing. I appreciate that. The techs and vets are expert at handling cats. My LuLu is a shy and timid girl and they handle her with confidence and great care.

Everyone who works here is great. We saw Dr. Adams and Dr. Otterson and had amazing experiences with both of our cats. Everyone was really patient and considerate during the exams and vaccinations. It felt like they truly cared about our boys. (It was really nice not to have to deal with dogs in the waiting room, too.)

Honestly refuse to be seen at the Getzville location after the lack of compassion was given with my cat who had red flags that something was wrong. Doc took one look for 10 seconds in my cats mouth and said it was cancer. When asked how long will Scout have. He said "idk maybe weeks, maybe months" I asked how to take care of Scout. He said comfort care with no other recommendations food wise or how to provide care at all for a 15yr old cat..when it was time to leave, I was handed a bottle of gabapentin and was told not to bring scout back unless given the gabapentin... I spent two days destroyed emotionally and mentally over this visit that I went to a different vet for a second opinion... For a fraction of the cost, a full exam was done without gabapentin. A biopsy was then taken a long with blood work to confirm if this was truly cancer. I then spent time at this other vet clinic being educated and consuled by the staff how to take care of a 15yr old cat, food recommendations, how to assist with feeding and bathing. I was given options on what to do if Scout had cancer, and then educated and prepped of it comfort and end of life care may be needed. I will not be returning to Dr Otterson for his lack of compassion. Spent $200 at Summer Street for nothing but trauma, and $400 at the second opinion vet where we received care, treatment, compassion and education.

The best experience i’ve had! I’m always a bit wary going to the vet because im a young cat owner and not always taken seriously- Summer Street Cat Clinic treated me and my kitty with the utmost respect and care! Everyone who works here is so pleasant and helpful, and I was provided with quick feedback. Everything from pricing and care was super comprehensible and they give great resources to further help with your kitty. Really such a great place to take your cat!

Specializing in your furry feline~ Everyone always happy to see our Kitty and fill us up with information. You only need the treatments or suggestions from Vets/techs if your cat needs what they recommend. It's ok to say "No", if your not comfortable with suggestion or price. Always ask questions. They take Great Care of our 2 yr old Kitty and help with factual suggestions when living with Autoimmune diseases and having a cat.
