Marilla's Mindful Supplies is super cute and super clean! I enjoy her variety in products, which includes both food, and home and body care. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.Marilla's is a bring-your-own-container establishment, which is an amazing step each person can do to reduce their carbon footprint. Most items or packaging were compostable as well. I love the idea and have a few friends who are interested in visiting with me.A cute idea: Marilla's offers a "Waste-Not Box," which could be a 1-time care package or used as a monthly sampling of new products. I was told it could be delivered or picked up in-store.

Such a wonderful shop to have right around the corner in downtown Geneva. Marilla, the shop-owner, has done so much research into the products she stocks and is such a ray of sunshine. If you're looking for bulk dried goods like coffee, grains, beans, popcorn, tea, spices, nuts, olive oil, you name it - she's got it! A great resource for low waste/zero waste bathroom, kitchen and health products as well. I often get gifts for loved ones here, knowing they are thoughtful and sustainable. What are you waiting for?? Go say hi and get some goodies!

Thrilled that I found this shop. If you're interested in making small changes to decrease the waste we produce in living life, then give this Refill Shop a try. You can bring your own containers or find something on their shelf to buy...or perhaps something donated. Enjoy restocking on body products (lotions, oils, shampoos, soaps, make up), dry goods (pastas, lentils, beans), dried fruits, spices, mixes. You'll find some earth friendly items like dryer balls, reusable organic bags, natural deoderant, squirt bottles, etc. Staff was interactive, understanding and helpful...truly happy to share with the world. I will be bringing my daughters back here and will happily make the 1 hour trip.

Marilla’s is such a gem! I live in Rochester and have been meaning to make the trip out to Geneva for a while now just to visit the shop and finally got the chance! First of all, Marilla’s mom was so kind and made great conversation while we shopped and the variety of low waste products were amazing! It’s nice to see a store that has low waste products AND refills in one place. Can hardly wait for the opening in Roc💚

I love refilling at Marilla’s and I’m so glad they’ll be in Rochester soon! When I started using more sustainable home products I thought I’d always be paying crazy money at stuffy boutique zero-waste shops. Marilla’s is super unpretentious and one of the most affordable place to get started if you’re looking to start using more earth friendly products!

What a cute and affordable little store! The owner and staff were very helpful and sweet when our group stopped in. We were lucky enough to stop in after a clothing swap and they had leftover clothing available for free! I hope to see them in Rochester soon!

the staff at marilla’s is top tier. they go above and beyond to help find you the right product, take note of what you’re looking for if they don’t stock it already, and truly make you feel welcome. no one bats an eye at my curious toddler. they take the time to engage with her when they can. shopping here is one of the reasons i love living in geneva. i find new swaps every time to reduce our plastic usage and always feel connected to the marilla’s community.

Love coming here for coffee beans and soap refills! Fantastic options. She keeps consistent product and always has new, cool things in stock too.The toilet tabs and dish powder are also great eco options here. Really keeps the house clean.Marilla is so friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. Geneva and our community are enriched because of her vision and shop.

This shop is around 2 years old and has served the community so well. The owner has super established relationships with so many people in town of all backgrounds n status, and she treats all people will the same kindness and respect. Regulars get amazing service, newbies get amazing service. They offer bulk foods, bulk cleaning supplies, hygiene products, PET products, supplements…they have a ton of stuff. And, if they don’t, they take the time to see if they can special order something for you. Super great service, this store rocks.

First time going to Waste Not Shop. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Marilla was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products she's selling. We went inside to offer our services of window cleaning, but once we were inside we felt like a kid at a candy store. Very nice selection of organic coffe, teas, grains, nuts and more. Also quality products for the body like deodorants, soaps, toothpaste etc. We were even given free natural deodorant samples! :D Can't wait to try it out. Beautiful shop!!! The owner, Marilla, has dedicated herself to finding, researching, and offering products that are good for her customers and this precious planet we all share. She offers her community in Geneva, NY (and those from around the U.S. and beyond) a plethora of products that you will not find in big box stores....and thank God for that!!! She greets you with a warm hello that is genuine and if you are lucky, you will hear her gorgeous voice singing along with the music she has playing (FYI...her other loves ARE singing with her two beautiful sisters in a band called, The Cool Club and the Lipker Sisters, plus she, along with her very talented husband, Joe, have been in many musical theatre productions, plus she is a master at making woven items on her loom [which I have seen for sale in her store], not to mention keeping their fur baby active, healthy and well trained!! She a busy and very dedicated lady!!). All this and more is what makes her store wonderfully unique and an absolute joy to shop in.....the products she sells and the person she is!!! Such a true treasure!! Walking into her establishment brings a feeling of calm that rises up from the smells of bulk foods and herbs, clean products, wood flooring and brick walls. All this has relation to Mother Earth. If you are looking for something beyond the usual run-of-the-mill product for yourself or someone else, you won't be disappointed at this store!!!! Let's keep small shops flourishing. They ARE the heart and soul of this country!!

This is a great shop for so many reasons. Where to begin? You can call and order bulk items for pick-up, and you can make that order using the measurement that works best for your needs (like a cup of flour or two pounds of rolled oats). The prices are all very reasonable (on par with or below prices of larger retailers that carry the same items), and the service is excellent. I've bought a range of things from the deodorant paste to the walnut shell scour pads, a bamboo handle bottle brush to locally produced honey, and many more (the rice husk travel mugs are amazing!). I also ordered a personal care waste not box for a friend, and she loved it (and it even arrived with a handwritten note!).I cannot say enough good things about this place. Also, the owner is incredibly kind and helpful!

I love both coming to this beautiful shop and occasionally ordering online. From start to finish, the owner, Marilla, really thinks the whole process through and does her absolute best to make the shop low-waste and follow through with her mission statement. They have a great selection of products which are sustainably sourced and which also support other local and small low-waste business owners. Shopping here gives me hope about what the future could look like. I was super excited to finally stop in to the shop and was so impressed at the variety of products between spices, bulk food options, tea and all the low waste essentials to making a better impact. The medjool dates were DELICIOUS and the borrow-a-jar option came in super handy. My soap saver has been working like a charm and my friends loved the bar soaps I gifted them. It was super easy to find in Downtown Geneva, too!

Lovely small shop with bulk spices, teas, and various awesome low-waste personal products. I am obsessed with the jasmine deodorant cream recommended by the owner (who is also awesome). It actually works and it smells SO GOOD. Plus, refillable!So happy to not have to go all the way to ithaca to fill up my spice jars. Thank you!

The owner takes care to provide so many solutions to our environmental concerns, and has tips on how to best keep taking care of our world, beyond what you can bring home. So glad to finally have a place like this close by! I love being able to bring my own container to the store and buy foods like rice, flour and beans in bulk instead of having to buy them at the regular grocery store with lots of wasteful packaging. The selection of other reusable and eco friendly products is amazing too. Bring a bunch of containers and reusable bags and check it out, even if you’re not right near Geneva its worth the drive because theres nothing else like this around!

This shop has made it so much easier to find products like shampoo, conditioner, or TP that have little or no waste packaging as well as other sustainable products. Tea, dried fruits, coffee, and kombucha just to name a few. A lot of the products are local too! A great way to make a difference.
