This is such a convenient location. I am glad they opened up right at this intersection. They have pretty much anything you may need that Stewart's does not have. Galway made a good move approving this store to locate here.

This Dollar General location just opened. This was my first visit. I was impressed by the size of the store. The inventory seems to be extensive, not one of the smaller Dollar Generals.The store is clean, well arranged, and well-stocked, despite its being very newly-opened. Misty cashed us out; she was friendly, outgoing, helpful.The store is located at the intersection of Route 147 and Route 29. The only entrance is from the Route 29 side. There is no entrance off of Route 147. It is directly opposite a Stewart's.

Super disappointed. Woman working the register didn’t even greet us when we entered. Carried on loud conversation with a customer about politics. Continued to carry the conversation even while ringing us out. I’m all for freedom of speech, but please be professional and do it on your own time.

Nice to have a place nearby to grab odds and ends. Needed tums one night and they had them and then some. Pretty cool. But man it smelled soooo bad when the place first opened. Chemical smell. Bad.

The Dollar Store in Galway, NY is closing at 6:00 pm due to no heat, and will close at 6:00 pm till the heat is back on...1/9/23

I like this DG it was very clean and had a big assortment. However I did not appreciate the fact that I had to wear a mask while the cashier who was an older woman did not have her mask on and was coughing

I despise dollar stores because of the premise behind them. However if you need to go to one, this is a good one. Large, clean and filled with everything you could imagine.
