Having a small RV is always a challenge finding a shop that can work on it when im on the road.. Chester went right to work finding out why my front left wheel was squealing. Found the issue, clip that holds on brake assembly was scraping inside of wheel. Had part delivered and installed quickly. Awesome response and service. I have been using Whyte's exclusively for 4 years now. I even purchased a used car from them. Now that I have a new car I will still use them for maintenance (non-warranty) work, because they listen to my concerns and help me to understand what the problem is. They are polite and knowledgeable. They get my car in and out quickly for a reasonable amount of money. I highly recommend them because I trust them to be honest with me.August 2018. Even at the height of vacation season, they got my car in for a last minute brake job. The work was done very quickly at a reasonable price. I depend on their recommendations to keep my car safe for long trips as well as day to day.

The guys at Whyte's are awesome! They had my beast of truck done way earlier than I expected, and never once made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. Prices are fair- Jim even made sure to dig deeper into researching a cheaper price for a pretty substantial repair that I needed. I am definitely a fan, and recommend them to anyone tired of getting run around by other places.

I have been to a bunch of mechanics throughout the years but Wyte's Auto service has great customer service and awesome prices. He is very family oriented. I asked him to check my new car to make sure is was safe for my children and he did. I only trust them with my vehicle now. They have never done me wrong. My new vehicle had some problems but he fixed them in a day. I had my car back the next day. I highly recommend Whyte's Auto Service for any vehicle problems you may have.

Excellent service station. Very honest, very fast and reliable service. Helpful even if you're not a customer - I brought my car in for service and the owner pointed out that I should get the necessary repairs (replacement sensor) done under warranty, which he could not do. But he showed me how to get around the issue until I could get it fixed properly.I always use Whyte's whenever possible.

Had a rough day the other day blew my tensioner and belt on my way into work, didn't have a lot time to figure things out so I called triple A and figured it would be handled from there. Charlie's towing came and refused to tow me to whytes, I spoke to Hank the owner as I really wanted to try out the shop under new ownership, he offered to me a free tow for my troubles with Charlie's and got the job done and car running smoothly before I even had my lunch break. I will definitely be a routine customer. Plan on bringing my car back to get breaks as they gave me quote and it was cheaper then 2 compareable business. Thanks for your help!Service: Engine repair

The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to diagnose the power steering problem within minutes. The diagnostic was free and they even topped off my power steering fluid for free! If I run into any more problems I know they are a reliable source for auto service!

Jim and everyone at Whyte's have always done good work at a fair price. I bring both my cars there for repairs, oil changes, and tires.Honest as others have said. Last summer while on vacation I had to bring my car to another garage when a brake caliper hung. That garage told me I also had a hole in my exhaust and needed a $1250 full replacement. There was a slight noise from it, but I knew I had whytes replace 1/2 that system the previous year and felt they were scamming me. I did not have them do the work. When I got back I took it to Whyte's and Jim told me it was a $12 gasket in the system which he replaced on 1/2 an hours labor. No more noise, no issues since, and certainly no thousand dollar repair needed.

We are fortunate to have a shop that I feel confident just dropping the car off with a note that says "brakes noisy", and the only plan is to pick it up that night after work. Jim Whyte is the owner and person who greets you at the door and he fixes cars for others as he would his own, respecting customer dignity and checkbooks without the dog and pony show found elsewhere. One experience I would like to relate as an example is when our car's air conditioner was very noisy because it's clutch was not operating properly. Whyte's removed just the clutch, adjusted it and reinstalled it rather than replacing the entire AC unit. I was shocked that this could be done since on our previous subaru with the same problem, a different shop had replaced the entire air conditioner compressor at about 10X the cost. Whyte's does the right thing

I have been going to Whyte's service station for about a year, they have always been very helpful. Answering any question I have had. When I had to go to the dealer because it was a problem that was covered by the dealer. Mr Whyte called the dealer to help set up the appointment.

Finding a mechanic you can trust is always one of the first things you worry about when you move. when leaving Utica and a long time trusted mechanic, I was fortunately referred to Whytes. I understand machines well enough to know that sometimes some expensive fixes are needed, and eventually vehicles have to be retired. when I get that type of news at Whyte's I don't doubt the honesty or technical expertise of the matter. 16 years so far, across a range of vehicles.

FYI: This auto shop will not service your car unless they provide parts & labor therefore you cannot provide your own parts for ur car. Not using them ever. Good Luck! No good ratings from me.
