Dr. Zwart is kind and caring. His support staff and vet tech is amazing. I called first thing on a Monday morning because I thought my dog was not going to make it. She is 20 years old and I thought her time had come. She didn't eat, drink, or walk. They immediately got her in and identified that she needed some vitamins and a steroid. She is doing good. An amazing experience.

We took our pets to Dr. Zwartz for years, but recently staff went downhill. Our dog had surgery for his ACL, but after surgery struggled to recover. Staff did not seem to give much thought to his pain. Over the last week, he stopped eating. We tried every trick to get him to eat, but he did not. He just was not doing well; all he wanted to do was sleep and showed signs of end of life. He was in a lot of pain. When called to discuss his situation, the staff did not listen to the concerns over the fact he literally would not eat anything. They assumed his medication dosage should be upped, when he was actually dying. We called yesterday morning, early on, to discuss euthanasia. The staff did not pick up, and called back at 5:45PM. By that time, we scheduled an at-home appointment with another vet for the next day. After the way they handled my dog's last week, I will definitely be taking my pets elsewhere to be treated.

I want to thank Dr Zwart and his staff for the prompt and kind treatment of our walker hound Tillie. He was available even though we have another primary vet but needed xrays and he diagnosed osteosarcoma. It was a difficult decision to amputate her leg but he was able to get us in quickly and was affordable. Doing due diligence I did inquire at the large animal hospitals and not only was the consult not available till mid May but it would have been cost prohibitive. Dr Zwart was kind when we picked her up today and his staff [so sorry I don't remember your name!] Was so very informative both before and after surgery. Thank you DAC for being there for us.

Our pets have been patients here for about 20 years. Dr. Zwart is a compassionate thorough no non sense veterinarian. In this area that is hard to find. He has never made me feel pressured to agree to unnecessary tests or procedures for my pets. Nor has he not been honest when it was in the best interest of my dog or cat. Years ago we had a cat that got her leg caught in a trap along a creek. When she dragged it home and we saw in horror that the leg was dead Dr. Zwart very calmly explained the surgery and that she would adapt to her three legged future. We currently have a thirteen year old lab that we love so much but know his life is coming to a well deserved send off and know that Dr. Zwart will be our vet of choice to aid us in that agonizing process. This morning started like any other morning getting home from a 12 hour shift. I quickly realized that it wasn’t like any other when our Labrador turned her nose up at her breakfast and instead wanted outside. I then watched her trying to pee for approximately 15 minutes to no avail. After calling my husband at work, I made phone calls for what seemed like hours. We couldn’t get her into even an emergency clinic in Syracuse as they were either no longer in existence or closed. We headed south, thinking we were bound for Cornell. We realized by the time we got to Cortland that she was much worse. I called every vet I knew in the area that had any mention of emergency care on their websites. We did get some referrals from those offices. Dryden Animal Clinic was our last try before we made the full trip. My husband went in and was greeted warmly by the receptionist. After explaining her symptoms, they took her right in. We then met their vet technician, Lauren, who was knowledgeable and wonderful with our girl. In half an hour time, she had been diagnosed and a plan was in place. We cannot thank the staff in this office enough for their kindness, accommodation, compassion, and their quick diagnosis and action. It was much easier leaving her there knowing the capable hands she was being left in. She is out of surgery and doing great. We will be using them for our routine vet care for all of our dogs moving forward no matter that it’s an hour drive. They truly have gone above and beyond for our family today and we could not be more thankful than we are at this moment. Thank you all for everything you do!!!

Dr. Zwart and his team are the greatest people we could ever hope for!!!My black Lab contracted Lyme disease and we found his back legs weakened to the point of almost completely being paralyzed!!!! We thought we were going to have to have our fur baby put down.Dr. Z and his team quickly went in to action once we arrived at the clinic. Thank GOD for him and his staff!! Now my boy can live to see his 13th birthday!!!Not sure what I would do without them or my fur baby!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have five fur kids. Three dogs and two cats. The oldest being ten and the youngest is 13 weeks... ALL of them have been going to Dr. Zwart their entire lives. We Love him! And the other staff are very friendly and sociable and accommodating as well.Not to mention he is easy on your wallet unlike almost EVERY other vet in this area!Highly recommended!

Lauren is amazing, she was able to help me manage my cats diabetes so he’ll be with us for for a few more years. The Dryden animal clinic was happy to take my puppy as a new patient, and was easily able to fit me for a timely appointment.The office staff is very friendly and it is a relaxed environment. My puppy has had all of its shots and exams here so far and I have been happy with the experience. I will continue to make the drive from downtown Ithaca to use Dryden animal clinic.

I've only been here once so far so this review is based only on one visit. They are the only vet in the area that I'm aware of that was allowing mask wearing owners to go in with the pet instead of staying in the car. So for me with a new puppy, I really appreciated that. Staff was very friendly and kind!

Simply amazing vet. I called a local ANIMAL HOSPITAL for my very sick rattie (overgrown teeth impacting jaw) and they couldn't provide me with an appointment, any advice, or any service at all. I called Dryden Animal Clinic and had an appointment within 24 hours, got antibiotics immediately, and already have surgery scheduled for next week. Dr. Schwartz is very knowledgable and is gentle yet firm. My specific sick rattie does not like being handled but the vet had no difficulties. As of now my rattie is having an amazing recovery and I cannot thank Dryden Animal Clinic enough for all their help!! (Also, there prices are absolutely phenomenal, so reasonable like they should be!)

Why pay more? Great service, care and treatment for the lowest price I've found in the area. A few years back I had a fur baby who was very ill and times where tough, money was tight. A friend told me to try Dryden Animal Clinic, I did, my baby had surgery and got better, and the price did not break the bank. I have not used any other vet since. Today, my son took his furry child for a check-up, updated vaccines, nail trim, dental exam and an eye exam (his fur baby is getting older, bad breath and poor eyesight) ALL of this was a grand total of $89! In my opinion, you can't beat that. Especially when the vet is soft spoken, kind, knowledgeable, and you can tell he cares, it helps that the staff is also friendly and kind. Dr. Zwart really spent some time discussing this dog's health with my son. We are both STILL satisfied customers and even though finances are not as tough, why go anywhere else or pay more?

This clinic has amazing people who care a lot about your animals. In addition, prices are very low compared to other places I've been to. We switched to this clinic after my dog's amputation and neutering, despite being farther away.

Dr. Zwart has worked miracles with my animals. From saving a totally degloved front leg on one of my dogs, when 2 other vets said it would have to be amputated, to cleaning up other vets botched work with my golden retriever who had terminal cancer. He's an excellent vet, and very knowledgeable.

Jim is the best! He is also the most reasonably priced veterinarian in Tompkins County. He is very knowledgeable and always treats our animals with great respect.
