I was told their saw is incapable of cutting to exact measurements, this is fine, however the person at the cash register counter giving me this information lacked customer communication skills, the deliverance was short and rude.

Nice, well stocked hardware store that is very handy to have in Forestport so you dont have to make a trip to Boonville or further to pick up anything for your projects. Staff is quite helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Took away the fifth star because of the narrow aisles. If you are in an aisle by yourself, its no biggy. If someone else wants to get into the same aisle, it gets cramped really fast.

Great experience. The clerks are very helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are competitive and if there's a better pice on a comparable item they tell you about it. I will always go to C and R for all of my hardware needs.LP

Pricing is comparable to lowes staff is friendly having no idea what I was doing when my pipes burst in the middle of the night the next morning I took off the section that was broken and brought it in and got everything I needed to recreate the damaged area! One trip got it fixed :)

Well stocked. Went to Lowe’s and they didn’t have the lumber I needed. Was surprised C and R had everything I needed. And, the quality of C and R lumber is better than Lowe’s

C&R Hardware in Forestport, NY is an awesome hardware store. C&R has the best inventory of hardware supplies+ Great choices, great inventory, friendly and knowledgeable staff. C&R Hardware is very important to the foothills of the Adirondacks community.....When wal-marts n lowest stop selling wood pellets in the middle of the coldest month of the yeat.....c n r makes sure they have them year round.their prices r very reasonable n they carry most everything that u would need living in the Adirondacks....they r always very good to the people of our community n r will to help out in anyway ....whether some advice or how to improperly do the job......thank u.......

Over priced.The owner is not much help.Went an hour south to get a furnace part .A $20.00 part was $55.00.I was scolded by the owner that "He doesn't want the part back.Paid triple and then I worried if it was the correct part as I could not return it .Even though it was in it's packaging.It was not a true fit .Had to fabricate holder.Now I remember why many years ago I stopped buying from C& R.Wont make that.mistake again.Im not a weekend warrior repair guy.Im a contractor and have accomplished many jobs in the Adks.The owner corrected me that I was not working on a furnace but a heater.I didn't reply.Funny this Empire wall furnace was purchased from C& R.
