It's a nice big store with quite a big selection of items. It's a shame they are all going out of business. I really enjoyed coming here. You can see the pretty collection of fish, & other small pets & any type of product for your pets needs from food to treats to toys etc. It really will be missed. All of Pentland discount stores will be missed!!!

I went into the store over two years ago, on September 13, 2015. That day we acquired what we thought was a young boy guinea pig. A little while after we got home we noticed multiple bloody cuts in between all of 'his' fur. We took Elliot to the vet and ended up spending about $200 on the vet visit and medication because one of the cuts was infected. The vet also told us Elliot was in fact NOT a boy and had all the girl parts. Not only is the staff at Petland Discounts incompetent (representing a girl guinea pig as a boy) but the way they treat their guinea pigs is despicable. How did my poor guinea pig get such deep cuts on her? We changed her name to Riley after finding out 'he' was a 'she' and now Riley is a very timid guinea pig. She was hiding in the cage when we got her and the staff told us it would take a little while for the guinea pig to relax but over 2 years later she still hides all the time. All the guinea pigs at the store were hiding, but they were probably all abused just like my guinea pig. Riley has trouble not urinating when she is taken out of the cage which is unlike our other guinea pig who has never urinated out of the cage and our other guinea spent hours out of the cage. It seems like whatever happened to Riley in the pet store or before she arrived at the pet store traumatized her. Riley was not treated right and the practices of this store are abhorrent. Luckily Riley found a wonderful home with us and she is treated with the love and respect she deserves. It's just so sad that you had to experience trauma at such a young and vulnerable age.

Very nice store as with all other Petland's staff is always available to help they just recently added live brine shrimp at least I've never seen it being offered before. All animals here seem healthier than in most other Petland's might be due to high turnover.

This is the best pet supplies store in forest hills! The manager always remembers your pets name and genuinely cares about animals. The whole staff is friendly and every product is priced right and on the shelves! Bubbles says hello!

I attempted to make a purchase at this store on Saturday, October 6th, but was unable to do so because no one was attending the register; in fact, the front door was propped open and no one was covering the front of the store. Anyone could have come in, stolen what they wanted, and walked out. After a full five minutes of waiting with another customer, I went searching and found a young man stocking the shelves. He said he would notify the manager, so I continued to wait. Another 8 MINUTES passed, and with no sign of the manager, I walked out. This is no way to run a business; I won't be shopping there again.

Good variety of pet accessories and needs. No self dogwash station. Stocked very well. Only parking is pay parking on street in front. Recommend walking here.

Petland provides a wide variety of name brand cat food, litter, and misc. supplies. At the checkout counter there is an universal can food cover that does not shut properly, but for $1 it's worth it.

Nice enough store but the girls that work there not so much needless to say you can find what you need..they currently cant use the credit card machine so its cash only dont know if that's just for now or a permanent thing the sign posted didn't say

This store is great. Rafael the manager is very friendly and knowledgable. Would recommend anyone with pets or desire to get a pet to go here!

Definitely never going here again! The staff isn’t knowledgeable and rude! And the staff absolutely doesn’t care about the customers needs. Will never go back ! Petco here I come!

Staff is very rude, and not knowledgeable. they are all over the place. fish float dead in the tanks and are sick. tanks are very dirty
