There are some things in life that are too perfect to put into words. But I am going to try.My wedding was yesterday 10.1.22 at this estate.1. The site. For a fall wedding in the Catskills you CANNOT get better than here. The leaves were to die for, the estate blends perfectly in with the mountain’s majesty and the vast estate gives so much room to enjoy. Every building is thoughtfully put together and decorated and has SO much history behind it!! The bridal suite was of course my absolute favorite and I felt like a queen staying there. Having everything on site was such a dream. It is beyond gorgeous and so comfortable, welcoming and accommodating. We loved having room for so many loved ones at this venue. It is your own little paradise2. The STAFF!!!! Holy moly. Debbie, Tony, The owner Gale, Walter and allison!!! The best of the best. Such a dynamic and well oiled team! I felt taken care of like no other. I felt so loved and so accommodated. They make all your dreams come true and are ready to do whatever it takes to give you a wonderful experience. And a bonus shout out goes to their cleaning staff who I am not sure if it is separate staff or ones I have already met but I just want to say we arrived into an IMMACULATE space. It smelled so clean in the banquet hall it was like you could lick the floor haha! It was so well kept and manicured!3. The amenities! An indoor giant hot tub??? A suana?? So private in the main bridal house, so luxurious and so gorgeous. The functional amenities of this venue are beyond awesome. From pool tables to onsite hiking, to games and more, they really have everything you need! Please book here, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend any season wedding here, but fall is in my opinion as good as it gets. Almost no where else in the world will you see trees change with the same intensity we just did. It just heightened the experience ten fold to witness such a marvel of nature among the pure luxury, comfort and beauty that is Brophy estates!

We stayed here for a friends wedding. We were driving from Michigan and were the last ones to arrive so we the smallest bedroom in the basement. Happy to have our own room but we did bring our own bedding now knowing if it would be provided or not. We will the bed away from the wall and their was so much mold on the wall!!!! Had we not brought our own bedding we would not have even known!! My fiancé refused to sleep in the room due to his asthma. We ended up sleeping in our Jeep!! Was so mad. I guess the lady came and like bleached the mold or something? Idk! But we refused to sleep in the room the entire time, again to die my fiancés asthma. Slept in our car. 😣 ****This was years ago I just happened to be looking for a place in the Catskills area and this popped up and so did our horrible experience. Other then that the property was beautiful. The house needed some updating. Our friend was pregnant and was the bridge, she went to take a bath in the upstairs main bedroom before the ceremony and the water would not warm up, same for the shower in the basement. We only went into the main house and the hall where the reception was. The actual ceremony was down by the river and was really beautiful! The area is remote but still could drive like 20 mins into a town for gas and necessities. I would think by now they have the mold problem fixed. It seemed like it was from a leak in wall. Fix mold problem and maybe set some spider traps, yes I am aware of it being in the mountains so there are bugs, im from Michigan, I too know bugs, but there were multiple HUGE spiders INSIDE. I wish I could find the pics to post of the mold and the spider. But still main issue was mold. Still a beautiful place but definitely not for us.

WOW, we absolutely loved hosting our wedding weekend here. Communication has been top notch from day one, whether it was with Allison or Gale herself, the owner. Their responses were always prompt and kind. As for the staff on the grounds, they were SUCH gems. Walter, Debbie, and Tony felt like longtime friends; they were very helpful, attentive, and professional, but knew how to add humor in what would otherwise be a stressful preparation. We held the ceremony on Friday and had a group of our friends stay the weekend, split amongst both RiverView and DeerRidge Estates by Brophy. The properties are stunning, surrounded by beautiful lush nature. The view by the ceremony site was invigorating with the stream of river in the background. The amenities at the estates were also a bonus, from the fire pits to the pools. We had visited twice beforehand and they graciously allowed us to tour each room leisurely. We never felt rushed and they were patient answering our endless list of questions and accommodating our specific requests. We didn’t have a wedding or event planner, but working with everyone on this team made it easy to execute our dream wedding. We left feeling tons of gratitude for them and we’ll recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

We are so so grateful to have found Estates by Brophy to host the wedding weekend of our DREAMS!! A beautiful, private property, in the fall, in upstate NY, with comfortable space for many of our guests to stay directly on the property, and many caring, dedicated staff to assist throughout the whole process was exactly what we wanted and more!

This estate/compound/magical land is magnificent. Everything is decorated like a true log cabin, including timeless historical pieces (i.e. Napoleon’s furniture, 24k gold sink, etc.). I went for a getaway with a big group of friends and SO happy I did. It ended up being awesome! The entertainment lodge brought us fun nights filled with dancing, games, pool, and drinking fun while the main and cottage house kept us cozy and comfortable. The property is beautiful with great views. My favorite part was the long balcony overlooking the hills. Walter the maintenance man was very responsive with anything we needed, yet left us privacy to ourselves. It was a weekend I will never forget!

This is a beautiful estate! It was great to have a family gathering. They are quick to respond and made the whole process smooth. Gale checked in with our group and was lovely. Walter was awesome and was there to help us with any need. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Our group absolutely loves RiverView Estate by Brophy! For a large group of our size, it fits everyone perfectly so each couple and individual has their own bed. We enjoy utilizing all of the amenities such as the hot tub, pool, fire pits, volleyball and basketball courts. It is a beautiful space and so reasonably priced- not to mention sparkling clean and beautifully decorated! We have decided to make this a yearly trip and thank Allison, Gale, and Walter for their amazing and warm hospitality. Highly recommend to all!! ❤️

We stayed with a few family friends at Deer Ridge and had a fantastic time. The property is nicely manicured, the commercial grade kitchen makes cooking for a large group SO much easier, and there’s so much to do that kids and adults alike stayed entertained the whole time. If you’re looking to explore the area, kayaking/tubing is a short drive away as is a beautiful private beach on the Delaware (which is also walkable from the house, if desired). Gail, the owner, was a pleasure and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. If we needed anything, a quick phone call or text to the house manager, Walter, and he would be there within minutes to help. We’re already talking about going back in the winter. It’s a beautiful place with lots of charm!

I organized a ten year class reunion here for 30 friends, and it was perfect. The property was just as advertised, and my friends had a blast. We particularly enjoyed the layout of the three structures, which allowed those of us who wanted quieter, earlier nights to sleep in the guest house. The four kitchens meant plenty of storage and cooking space for everyone, and all of the kitchens were some of the best-stocked with cooking items that we've ever seen in a rental property. The hot tub, sauna, and pool were awesome perks, and the BBQ on the property is quite large which made the nights we grilled that much easier. Many of our group were already asking if we should do our next reunion here on day one of our stay! Highly recommended!

The Brophy RiverView Estate was magnificent! Gale, the owner, was so hospitable and welcoming. Her home was beautifully furnished and perfect for our group of 30 (so many bedrooms!). Kristen, the property manager, was really helpful and willingly suggested hikes in the area as well as caterers. The view was lovely. The pool was warm and kid friendly (fully fenced in!) Even though our weekend was a bit rainy, we still had a great time playing outside, making bonfires every night and having lovely meals together. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Brophy Estates!

The estate was large enough to accommodate all 13 of us for sleeping and hanging out playing games. The pool was clean and we had it heated so we were in it every day. The river is very close for swimming, fishing or whatever. When it rained we had the entertainment Lodge or the hot tub in the main house. We saw so much wild life... eagles every day. The staff was very responsive. It has a resort feel without any other guests but us. Very cool place.

Our early November family reunion of #31 (18 adults, 13 children) was a huge success at RiverView Estate. Allison was very responsive and helpful regarding all contract details. Walter was very quick with additional water bottles, always available, and very pleasant to work with. We occupied all three homes on the property which suited our needs perfectly. The smaller cottage is the one property that is in need of a remodel. Both the Main and Entertainment lodges were comfortable and spacious for our large and active family. We spent hours competing at corn hole, sitting around the fire pit, soaking in the massive hot tub, strolling around the entire property and down to the banks of the Delaware; spectacular scenery. The basketball court area was perfect for kite flying. The pool table was by far the biggest attraction for all although it was a challenge getting pool sticks away from the littles! Family meals were easily prepped and served in the Entertainment lodge; double ovens, huge stove top, double dishwashers, lots of serving platters. The faucet/shower water aroma was rather foul. The Main lodge fireplace was not easy to use. These are the only minor inconveniences we experienced. Fishs Eddy was the perfect gathering spot for our family to reconnect, laugh, and celebrate after so much time apart. We hope to return again someday to create more amazing family memories. Thank you Gayle et al!

A group of us stayed a weekend in February to celebrate a 30th birthday. The property was absolutely beautiful even in the dead of winter. There was plenty of room for the party we had and never got crowded. We rented all three buildings and don’t regret adding the extra cabin for additional sleeping. The entertainment lodge was the main spot for everyone to be together. The Hot tub was a huge hit as well. Gale was great to work with and made the booking process easy and quick. She touched base multiple times to make sure any questions we had were answered before arrival. The manager was just one call away. He ended up coming up for a minor fix within 15 mins of his call. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway. We will definitely return in the future.

We stayed at RiverView Estate in summer of 2015. We were hosting our children and grandchildren (28 in all) to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! This location was terrific, all amenities were first-class. There were three separate buildings which we could spread out in, young and old enjoyed the exercise room, indoor hot tub, outdoor pool area with ample seating. The location was good and we had stores close by as well. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!

I just rented the Estate for a Birthday Weekend with Friends. I went once before and knew I had to take my group there.... Everyone loved it! The estate itself is so private, the decor is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Better than you could ever imagine. It is so spacious with everyone having space to do their own thing or for everyone to eat/enjoy time together. It was the perfect weekend!!! They have someone on call that stays right off the property 24-7 for anything you may need. Booking was a breeze and I think a great price for what you are receiving!!! I’d highly recommend but I don’t want you taking up all the weekends I wish I could stay there again and again for!

We had a wonderful stay at the Riverview Estate! Gale, Walter and Allison went out of their way to be as accommodating as possible. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and had plenty of entertainment for a large group of people. We will definitely be coming back.

We could not have asked for anything more! Not only was the premises breathtakingly beautiful and spacious, but Gale and her team were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. We stayed for 3 full days and 3 nights and did not have to nor want to leave the estate the entire time - it had everything we needed from silverware and cutlery to pots and pans to dishwashers, plenty of space both inside and outside for activities, a hot tub, and fire pits at each of the three houses on the estate. We will definitely be back!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at RiverView Estate By Brophy. The experience was mostly good with just a few things that could have been improved on or at least helpful to know if you're planning on making a trip here. The location is perfect for those wanting to get away from the noise and stress of a city. Everything is laid back and there are lots of picturesque views to take in. Spending quality time on the back porch of the main house and taking in the view is not something you'll regret. The layout of the estate worked well for our purpose. We used the entertainment lodge as a gathering spot for our entire group. People slept in different rooms throughout the property. Some had their own bathrooms and some shared. There were some oddities with the bathrooms. First, the entertainment lodge didn't have a bathroom for use by people that were just hanging out in that building. You had to use the bathroom that was meant for those staying in the rooms there. It worked, but separate bathrooms for the main room and bedrooms would have worked better. Second, some of the bathrooms had super small showers but lots of open space. A larger shower would have made a better choice in these areas. The biggest complaint I had was probably the water. You will 100% want to bring your own water for drinking and possibly cooking. I don't recall if there are washing machines here but you will not want to wash your clothes here. The water had a very strong rotten egg/sulfur smell. I'm not sure if this was due to the time of the year or what. Also, this is somewhat out of control of the host. Although, a whole home water filtration system probably would have helped.A second minor complaint was an excessive amount of cameras everywhere. I understand hosts need to protect their properties. No host wants to book a stay for 20 guests and 2000 guests show up for a party. Cameras help them monitor the property and give them some ammo if something goes wrong. However, the sheer amount of cameras was extremely excessive. Literally every corner of almost every building had 3+ cameras pointing in various directions. There was no place outside you could go and not be on multiple cameras. My memory is foggy at this point but I'm pretty sure I counted 7 cameras on one corner. This made everyone feel uneasy, unwelcomed and like we were in some sort of maximum security compound. Although we didn't see any we wondered if there were cameras hidden indoors as well.Despite these 2 problems I'd say the stay was positive. You can plan ahead for the water. As for the cameras, if you're comfortable with this then it won't be a problem either. If you're wondering about the picture. We think this is a portrait of Gale Brophy, our host. She was the subject of many portraits throughout the estate. It was fun to make up stories for each portrait and was a fun way to pass time. We made up a whole life story based on the portraits which I'm sure none is true.

Everything was clean, spacious, comfortable, warm, and plentiful, and there was plenty to do with the property being so huge! Tons of fun and excellent customer service whenever had any questions about anything. Awesome hot tub, ample kitchen and dining space, great game room... everything was excellent. Would definitely love to come back and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

As a group of college friends getting together for a wedding, the Riverview estate provided us an incredible place for our weekend. Walking around the estate, from the pool, to the fire pit, down by the barn, and generally through the woods, was gorgeous and made for both great exploring and a great setting to enjoy each other's company. It felt like Riverview could sleep as many people as you could imagine comfortably. The owner stopped by on Saturday, not to hover over our group to see if anything was wrong, but to ask if we were enjoying ourselves and if there is anything she could do for us. The amenities inside the houses, such as the pool table, hot tub, and workout area, were unexpected but terrific additions that really enhanced our weekend. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone with a big group who plans to spend time in the area.

Riverview Estates and the staff are just fabulous. The property is spacious and provides comfy accommodations, and plenty of them. So easy to relax here, or, as manager Walter says, party like rock stars. They provide a great balance of privacy, while feeling completely cared for. Our group of 30 guests have spent two amazing New Year's Eve weekends there in 2020 and 2021 (thanks, Covid!) now, and have already booked the property for NYE 2022! Only 359 days to go! Can't wait! Nevermind the comments about the mountain water. Make some lemonade with the abundant water coolers they provide in every building and just relax. For us, its about connection, not perfection, and this property is a special spot to connect with your people. Relax and have fun. Thank you Gale, Walter and Allison. See you next year!

The estate accommodated our family totaling 52 adults and children. The privacy and spacious accommodations allowed everyone to have plenty of room for sleeping, relaxation, food preparation, and even eating as an entire group. All enjoyed the natural beauty of the Catskills including the views of the North Delaware River, daily sightings of deer, turkey, fox, and falcons, and the mountain hiking trails. It was a very pristine and peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the family. The two pools, two hot tubs, sauna, billiard tables, and fire pits were enjoyed by all throughout the entire week. In addition, there was plenty to do in the surrounding towns to entertain all ages. Staff checked in daily to ensure that everything was going well. The commercial kitchen in Deerridge was more than adequate for preparing meals for 50 plus. The family is grateful and well-satisfied with the opportunity to spend this memorable time together at Brophy Estates.

Excellent! Beautiful estate, well maintained. Had a recent gathering of 16 adults. The Estate comfortably accommodated this size group. Gorgeous pool, hot tub, sauna. The property manager and staff were a joy to deal with and responsive to any needs. Easy walk to the river and many hiking trails.

My group of 30+ guests had an amazing time at the RiverView estate. The buildings and location were absolutely beautiful, well maintained with an attentive staff and stocked with everything we needed for a great NYE weekend. We are already considering going back this summer when the pool is open and hiking trails are less icy!

The property is beautiful and the 2 houses we used had enough space to fit 17 people and 4 dogs; however it needs a major renovation. The furniture was all worn and it felt like you'd fall to the floor this includes all sofas and dining room chairs in the main house. Windows were broken and overall it was dirty. It wasn't worth what we paid for it.

In July 2019 we attended a 5-day family reunion at DeerRidge with more than 50 participants. It is hard to imagine picking a better site for this event. Though we had to supplement sleeping arrangements with some air mattresses and cots, the DeerRidge structure absorbed our crowd easily. The beautiful, rustic quarters with numerous bedrooms/beds of all types, abundant bathrooms, and 3 full-sized kitchens more than met our daily needs. The large above ground pool/deck, hot tub, pool table, and fire pit were constant focal points for large and small family interactions. The spacious grounds provided a perfect setting for volleyball games and our nail-biting Corn Hole Toss tournament. The large Main Kitchen dining area, which easily supported our meal gatherings, also doubled as a setting for Euchre competitions and tabletop games for our 10 young children. Family members twice took advantage of a gentle river tube-floating excursion in nearby Hancock, NY. The building-length, ground level, covered veranda held constant small group conversations and was the site of a family sing-a-long with our accordion-playing aunt. A secret hit was the portable electronic massage chair. It provided hours of real muscle relief for the adults, and a great photo op spot for parents of all the kids who tried the numerous chair movement intensities and options. We also had excellent real-time support from the Estates by Brophy staff. Requests for assistance yielded rapid responses and questions sent via text received immediate attention. Great weather graced our reunion days, but rain or shine DeerRidge possesses facilities to make large group gatherings fun.
