This course is my favorite!!! There is nothing that compares.Every holes is on the water or over looks the water. The layout and design is very fair and score able.There are so many details I love. The cart paths are a mix of gravel and dirt. It adds to the mystic. To get on the island you get to take an water taxi that starts the build the anticipation of a great day of golf.The conditions were fantastic! Greens were perfect! Fairways and tee boxes were great.

Timeless, wind-swept course with endless undulation. Seth Raynor's masterpiece. Loved the punch bowl in particular. On a windy day it's especially brutal to play.

Fishers Island Club should be a world beater based on its frequent high ranking in various golf course listings. But this very private and exclusive Club, located on a small island off the Connecticut coast, certainly gets its fair share of mixed reviews. Most holes are played directly alongside the sea, offering spectacular scenery and an unforgettable golf experience.

WOW WOW wonderful : FIGC gem has my #1 gc ranking for Many years on my magazine reviews . This gem has it all :* awesome golf imagination shots making due to its winds and few false front greens ,in which ball can roll back to your original spot* deep green side bunkering on its difficult par 3s* all golf shots and clubs will be required* nature views (Ie : 1 guest w me requested his wedding on 1 of the greens , elevated of course for adequate air venting ..Sorry was the answer ! )* all animal/fish jumping sightings, including whale breaching ,* all types of wind direction on almost every shot . If calm day , make Birdies !* Finally: come by car ferry , small plane or small dockside boat . I believe (and know ) that this feature makes your full day there memorable,as it has for my experience by all 3 .* FIGC : will never see a Pga pro eventAnd prefers that, and so do I !——Thank you , designer Seth Raynor for your \ The Lords unique layout in the mid 1920s.Many other Of my world played Courses ( easily all top 100 USA + another 1 k + another 125 world played over 32 years ) would wish this high accolade of # UNO , but only Fishers gets my nod . Fishers Island Club purchased Cast Iron Air Brick company Hit and Miss Cast Iron air bricks for restoration work on their gorgeous properties in the USA a couple of years ago. We managed to get these to them within a day or two of them ordering even though we're in England. We are delighted they have chosen our authentic British made products that look good and are ideal for period buildings and wish Todd and the team at Fishers well with future projects.
