If you need it, they probably have it. From paint to bolts to plumbing and lawns, this is a smaller store with a metric ton of stuff you need inside! Also, the sales staff is well educated on the store and pretty much know where every little thing is! And if they can't find it, they know somebody in the store that does!!

Visited the store recently to purchase some house paint which they were the only Ace in the area to carry. I was blown away at the level of customer service they provided and how helpful they were. I live ~20-25 minutes away but would be willing to make the drive again for this hardware store. They went above and beyond to say the least. Excellent store.

Received a Stihl chainsaw purchased here as a Christmas gift. Saw was too hard for me to start. Asked if I could exchange it for a smaller saw, and I was willing to pay additional money for the exchange. Because more than 7 days elapsed, owner refused to do anything. Called Stihl customer service. They advised that if I couldn’t start it, owner could take it back under warranty. Brought the saw back to the store, and owner still refused. Terrible customer service!

Worst phone call ever had no idea that people that work for this store could not give me help with a stihl product without a stihl specialist not a stihl rep just a person that works for Ace Hardware store. I would not get help until he was in and that was around lunch time. They should all learn about inventory. Lost a potential sale for an expensive product.

There is always somebody ready to help you here. I've always had a great experience with this location, and though the staff does seem young and at times inexperienced with all home projects, they can at least help you find what you need quickly. It's a great local shop and I go here for most of my at home and DIY projects.

I just wanted to send a shoutout to Sophie, a wonderful member of the conscientious Villiage Hardware staff. Sophie was helping me with a perplexing garage storage challenge that I posed to her, which I never would have figured out without her thoughtfulness and perseverance. Had I gone to a big box store, I would still be scratching my head. Instead, I had a great Ace (loyal) customer experience, thanks to a great representative of their brand and of the Villiage spirit.

I was followed around. Idk if it because I was the only one in there all day or what? I was wearing over $1k worth of cloths. So I dont think it was my appearance. They are a bit over priced compared to Amazon or anyone else in the area. But I like to support local owned businesses. So it's worth spending the extra couple dollars.

Yesterday I went to one of those big do-it-yourself stores because I needed a coupling so I could construct a make-shift shower in my cellar. You'd have thought I was asking to re-invent something. The guy couldn't help me after looking at fittings for close to 15 minutes. Today, I drove to Manlius because I remembered that this place has hard to find items. I walked in the door, was greeted by a gentleman who asked if I needed help and he then proceeded toward the back of the store. He pulled out a drawer, took out a coupling, made sure it fit and then handed it to me. I kid you not when I say that all this took less than 90 seconds. This is THE store to go to where people are knowledgeable and can really help you. Don't waste your time elsewhere!

This is easily my favorite store! I live a few blocks away, and I'm always trying to fix a homeowner problem. These great people always come to my rescue, and my home is better for it. They're my go-to for everything mechanical.

Very helpful employees. Most items are overpriced. I suppose its the price you pay for having a hardware store right in the village.Check it out, they have way more stuff crammed in there than you would think.

Kevin is great !Some of the other staff should take lessons from Ace in Rome NY.Sean is impatient and snarky ...This store is congested...Ingress/egress is problematic at this store...Parking is limited/congested ....impossible on a busy day.Although this store is closest to our house, I'll be doing business at other local Ace stores in the future.
