The staff was so kind and gentle towards me as I had to go through what every pet guardian fears. Throughout the entire process, the vet sat with me and spoke with me and never left my side during the euthanasia procedure. They gave me ample time to say my goodbye both before and after. This was undoubtedly the worst thing I ever had to do but the entire staff guided me through it with the patience and compassion I needed. I’ll never forget what they did for me.

my in-laws used to use this vet, but I would recommend Long Island Spay Neuter instead. we rescued a 200 pound dog a few years ago from a shelter. She is around 8/9 years old now. it had looks like she ripped her thumb nail off so we had taken her there to get antibiotics in case it got worse. they gave us antibiotics. It was getting worse. We took her back. They just gave us antibiotics and pain meds. We took her back again because it continued to get worse and leak. They just gave us more antibiotics and pain meds. We took her back a final time and they told my mother-in-law that she needed to be put down because it was cancer and it went to the bone, just by looking at it... And there was nothing more they could do, and she only had less than a month to live. I told her screw that go get a second opinion. We went to Long Island, Spay and Neuter. It turned out to just be a non cancerous mass. It was removed, and she is healthy and loving life. My mother in law was under so much stress and was about to put her down. So do not go here, also anytime you go you're spending at least $400

This is our go-to for our cats, both regular and sometimes irregular visits. They’re pretty good with handling pets and only once did we have a hiccup - delay in getting blood work done. Overall they’ve been plenty helpful. I only wish they’d have the capacity for more emergencies. Our girls like to get in to trouble…

My pets have been seen for many years by the team at Farmingville Animal Hospital. They have a very strong, knowledgeable, caring and compassionate team of vets and techs there that take the time to explain things to you in a way that you can understand. They follow up with text messages or a phone call to give you results on your pet. The staff calls to follow up and check in from the previous pet visit to make sure your pet is doing well. Dr Palermo, Dr Robbins, Dr Goose and now Dr Kraneburg are the ultimate dream team of doctors and all 6 of my pets are lucky to see them and provide them with the best care

The vet's office is very professional and always makes an effort to help us. Always get an appointment and see us as fast as possible during any kind of emergency. The doctors in the office and all of the staff in the front are absolutely wonderful nice people. can't say enough good things about this office The people here are just really genuinely kind-hearted people. Had a bit of a personal emergency couldn't make my appointment The office managed to stay open just a little bit later for me due to the personal family problem and really went out of their way to make accommodations for my dog. Just can't say thank you enough to this wonderful office and all the people that work there!

Very kind and compassionate. We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog. She was 18 and having serious health issues. They took very good care of her. The staff were very patient with us and the doctor was incredibly sympathetic and gentle with us and our dog. I definitely recommend you take your pets here.

Dr. Palermo is the best she helped my cat when she had anemia, she knew exactly what my cat needed and was straightforward about the odds of my cat making it through blood transfusions. The receptionist are super sweet and helpful. Usually other places they are shallow and rude but these ladies are always nice to me and i never deal with any problems here. Please take your pet here, the plans they offer are a little expensive but 100% worth it

Editing my original post. Although the vets are great I felt completely ripped off by the care plan and will never being using a VCA again. Didn't realize the care plan was a contract, couldn't find any copy of said contract anywhere and when I had to cancel due to an unfortunate and unexpected move I had to pay almost a $600 balance. They don't explain to you at all that this is how it works and it is a contract. I used the care plan for a VCA in another state and when I canceled due to our military move we were never charged a balance and I know for a fact we hadn't canceled at the 1 year mark for us not to have a balance. Not to mention that these care plans are not transferable to other states so if you move it won't follow you.

The appointment and check in process all quick and easy, staff as far as nurses, desk clerks and the people prior to the doctor are all sweet, friendly, and kind. My dog was thrilled with every prior person he came in contact with. Only reason I'm giving this office such a low rating is because of Dr Murray. She is other wise not as kind of friendly as the other staff and actually presents quite crass, rude, condescending and seemingly entitled. She pretends she cares but really she just wants money. She tried to charge me over 1000 for a visit for my dogs allergies. I mean vets are highway robbery to begin with but seriously. My dog was not a fan either. I don't feel comfortable with her she shut me up serveral times and then got all judgy when I told her I didn't want to do the $1000 worth of work when she said all he had was an ear infection..thank you but no thank you to Dr. Murray!

I usually do not write reviews, however, the Vet & staff at the FAH deserve recognition for their outstanding work.On Jan 2, our dog and family member for the past 16 years, Harlee, unexpectedly suffered a severe medical condition. Living in Holtsville, my wife, daughter, and I quickly took her to the FAH where we were warmly welcomed as walk-ins and she was immediately taken in for examination. Unfortunately, the condition was terminal and we laid her to rest.Throughout, the level of compassion, empathy, respect, and professionalism demonstrated that day by the entire staff of FAH was extremely heart warming & appreciated. You are all a credit to your field and truly meant to be doing the work you are doing.From all our hearts, Thank You!

I went there for the first time with my kitten and they were amazing. The staff was great and they offer a very reasonably priced monthly plan. The monthly plan is going to save me alot of money considering I have 4 pets. The free first wellness exam is what got me to go here but the staff is the reason I will be making this my new permanent vet.

I'm very dissapointed that Coram Animal Hospital closed and transferred there business here. I went in and from the very beginning I was taken back by the lack of professionalism at the front desk. I had an appointment to get blood work for my dog and because they don't know how to handle Care Club plans my dog could not be seen. The red-head at the front kept saying my account had a balance and she didn't know what to do about the missed payment. I paid her right there and yet between both people at the front desk no-one could figure it out. Then the Vet came out and she just had such a look on her face that made me uncomfortable to have my dog seen there. I will not go back there under any circumstances. These businesses have to realize there is another shop around the corner and I will not spend my money in places were I do not feel valued. As a first timer here, I had a very bad experience and would not recommend to anyone. If you have any suggestions for better places, please let me know. Thank you!I would also give 0 stars but that was not an option.

Dr. Gooss and the vet tech(whose name I didn't catch sadly) were so kind to my 7 week old kitten! I was very happy with the way they treated him, and my visit overall. Would definitely recommend this place. The front desk staff is also nice.

I have used this animal hospital for almost 30 years...15 with my 1st dog and 14 with my present. It took 10 days for me to get an on line appointment for my dog who was having some issues. When i called to see about getting an earlier appointment i was told that they were booked solid ...the earliest he could be seen was 15 days out....and if i felt my dog neeeded emergency care i should bring him to an emergency walk in clinic.

Ever since two top vets left, place has gone downhill QUICK!!!!!After over 30yrs of being a loyal customer, I was treated like a stranger!!!!! Just awful!!!!! Found another vet after I was refused an emergency visit... They took me right away and helped my dog!! Thank God I found a compassionate vet to care for my boy.... Good riddance to that place.....

The staff at Farmingville Animal Hospital are so friendly and incredibly helpful. Every time I went there my dogs were taken care of quickly and efficiently by the staff, nurses, doctors and assistants.We had my 2 beagles neutered a few years ago which required them to stay overnight...When we went to pick them up the next day, they were clean, happy and not in any pain what so ever. It is so calming to know when we are panicking about our dogs health that they are in good hands at Farmingville Animal Hospital. I will be going there forever.

Twice my dog had an emergency and twice I was told they had no opening for 2-3weeks and to go to emergency. I have been going there for 10 years and have never been treated this way. Why are you short handed and down to 2 vets. Much better before you joined VCA

I was told they tried to call me they were behind they called my daughter phone wrong number they asked me if I could come back at 4 20 I couldn't. They did not want to do anything else they acted like I should just make another appointment another day. I said I could come back in a hour they said no. I said what if I wait they said we don't know how long you will have to wait. They acted like I was uncovering them I found another vet and have a appointment tomorrow. I won't go back anymore

My cats have been patients of this vet for 10 years. I have been through many difficult times and the vets, themselves, have been truly amazing. Since becoming a VCA hospital the service and other staff are cold and unwelcoming. Through this Pandemic my cat got very sick and after 10 years they acted like they didn’t even know him. I have since pulled all of my 4 cats from this place. I just wish the actually vets practiced somewhere else.
