I’ve been with FLPR for nearly a year now. While the facility has had its ups and downs, I can proudly say I love both the clients, their dogs, management and my co workers. I began as a front desk receptionist, cross trained into caregiving and I now work in the activities department. There is no shortage in the love and care we put into giving every set of paws that enter the facility. We work hard to do what we do and we all enjoy it. I bring my two dogs with me to work every single day and I’ve had them lodge during times I’ve been out of town. If I did not have the confidence in my co workers to care for my dogs, make sure they eat, get out to go potty and get out to play, I would never leave them there. Both my boys love going and would throw a fit if I chose to not bring them. My younger boy actually tries to stay some days, going as far as trying to get back into his room! As for my old man, daycare has truly helped him blossom. He adores playing with puppies in his small dog play group, something I NEVER imagined for him, as he is a “grumpy old man.” Who said you can’t teach old dogs new tricks?With this being said, management does the absolute best job at accommodating their staff and keeping everyone (dog and staff) happy and cared for. One thing we value and do well is teamwork - something so important. We all help each other out for one goal - to make sure every fur baby there is well cared for and happy. I love what I do and who I do it for and this will never change.

We boarded my 2 dogs for a full week at the pet resort and they took amazing care of my babies. I had piece of mind knowing they were safe and well taken care of while we were away. I had both dogs groomed and nails trimmed and the salon did a fabulous job. Both my dogs were happy and healthy when I brought them home.

Our three year boxer, Henry, is definitely a dog that needs special care when he is away from us. Finger Lakes is always great with him and he comes home happy, and tired! We never our decision to take him to Finger LakesIf you share your pet's needs with Fingerlakes, they will do everything they can to ensure your pet's comfort and yours!

My dog loves going there. She literally makes me run in with her and she's always hyped to see the staff, which is enough for me to know that this place is great. They do a good job with grooming as well.

We had to get our dog in last minute to somewhere. Thankfully, this boarding place was available. They said that are dog, Ellie was a joy to have over new years and we were glad she was well cared for while we were away. They took special consideration for her fear of other dogs and the fact she was a tripod. All in all, great experience. We will use them again!

Poor service, have been there to have nails clipped 3 times the first experience was excellent Legasy was the tech that did her nails and she handled the dog appropriately and the clip was the best I've ever seem the next two appts were made with Legasy and when I arrived some one else took my dog back to be clipped and when I asked to speak with Legasy about an previously injured nail I was concerned about was told she was to busy to come a speak with me and I was left feeling she may not have even been in the building. The resulting nail trim was poor at best. Based on my experience I would not recommend them for nail trimming and certainly would never take a pet there for boarding. Staff appeared confused with people doing nothing while customers were standing at an empty reception desk. for minutes at a time.Not a good experience.

2nd time boarding our 2 dogs there, the amount of packages they offer us great. It feels like you can pick one that is tailored specifically for your dog. Definitely would recommend again.

We bring Cody there twice a week for daycare and have done so for 5 years. We also board him there. He gets the exercise we want him to get and he loves the staff. I feel very good about taking him there because I know he is in good hands.

The most important aspect of this facility is that the staff takes excellent care of my Lucy. The grooming fees are reasonable, the facility is very clean, and the staff is cheerful and helpful.

The staff is great! Dexter has come out of his shell since coming to the pet resort. He has epilepsy and having a relaxed environment where he feels safe has made a great difference in controling his seizures. The staff goes above and beyond with all the puppies. I am going to bring my 2nd dog too.

Not customer-oriented, for dogs or people! Our pup stayed twice and will not be back. We were mistakenly overcharged and then promised a refund. Unfortunately, we never did get a call from the manager to process this refund, and multiple calls to the facility and an email were ignored. Additionally, the staff is not friendly and we received no updates at all about how our dog did while we were away. We board with our veterinarian now. It's a fraction of the price, the employees recognize us and pup when we walk in, and we hear detailed reports on activities throughout the stay.

Communication is quite poor (I called and left several messages to book without anyone calling me back.. just had to keep trying)They advertise training while your dog stays... the trainer was extremely difficult to get in contact with. When we did finally talk (when I picked up my dog after his stay), she was super vague about the training. She did not give me concrete steps to continue training at home. I have little faith any training really took place.Finally, worst of all, my dog was filthy when I picked him up after 10 nights. His coat was matted, and he smelled like urine. Absolutely disgusting.This place is very expensive. They do not provide a high quality experience.

I initially started bringing my dog to Finger Lakes Pet Resort about 2.5 years ago for private training with Paula to help him with his fear of people he's not familiar with. She has helped us so so much in making him a more confident, relaxed and happy dog using positive reinforcement training. It took a lot of work and dedication on my part but the transformation I have seen in him is unbelievable and totally worth it! Aside from private training, he has boarded there several times and continues to do day stays relatively routinely. It's so comforting to know that all of the staff loves each dog like their own and they're not shy to tell me how much they love him. He could have been a behavior case but they really worked with us (and continue to) in order to make his stays successful. It's a huge relief to know that my dog has a safe place to go when needed, as he's not a dog that is okay with just anyone. My dog walks in there happy and excited and comes home very happy and tired! Thank you Finger Lakes Pet Resort for loving Cosby as much as I do!

Fair prices as compared to other local places. Often has some room available because of their size compared many other locations. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Our dog comes home safe and sound with no problems.

I can not say enough good things about Finger Lakes Pet Resort, especially Tricia Kennedy. My female standard poodle, Miss Yvette and I have been taking both group and private lessons with Trish. When Miss Yvette first started, she was very shy and would not allow anyone to come close to her. Over the past 18 months, Miss Yvette has gained confidence, to a degree, I never thought possible.One of Trish's greatest gifts is the ability not only to recognize but appreciate the uniqueness of every dog she works with. I truly believe it is this trait that allowed her to progress Miss Yvette to where she is today.I am sure that I recommend Finger Lakes Pet Resort, especially Trish to any dog owner I know, and in some instances, overhear, state that they need an outstanding trainer!

We love bringing our dog because he loves it there! He gets a great workout and I know they give him alot of attention! This would a 5 star but they need a better system for people bringing in their dogs for overnights because there is so much paperwork and instructions to go thru and then people coming in with daycare dogs pile up...I wont even get into the people trying to bring dogs in with expired vaccinations...they call their vet Yada yada yada meanwhile everyone is standing waiting...Now this doesn't happen all the time but the facility is improving on so many fronts Im sure they are looking at ways to improve this as well!

This is for day care and grooming only. I haven't tried their boarding services.Grooming - was good! They had a young lady who worked there up until recently who was very good. I believe she left, and they have a new groomer apprentice who also did a good job on our dog recently.Day care - they don't have cameras, nor do they offer a tour of the day care facility. That's unacceptable in 2023... they need to do one or the other. Installing cameras can't be that hard nowadays as well.They offer play group day care or "1-on-1" day care, where your dog doesn't play with other dogs but "rotates between playing with staff members". My dog has done both - I think during group day care they probably do get exercise (but don't know for sure, never seen their play areas and of course, no cameras). I think the "1-on-1" day care likely offers way less exercise - my dog came back from his session fully energetic like he's been caged up all day, where typically he's tired after other day cares.4/5 for grooming2/5 for day care

Our dog loves it at "camp" and always comes home happy and tired. The staff is very friendly and caring, and they make an effort to get to know the dogs. They evaluate all dogs before allowing them to join play groups, and in speaking with staff about how they run things, it's clear they're very careful to avoid a situation with dogs just running amuck, where scuffles could escalate or a dog could be injured. Safety is clearly a priority.

So far dog daycare has been great. Our dogs normally so anxious, but it’s great to seem him happy to go. He comes home tired from all the play. I wish there was more daily feedback about what the dogs were doing. Or someway to check in or see what the dogs are up to like maybe a camera, or posting pictures to social media.

This was my dog’s first kennel experience in 4 years. After his last kennel stay at another kennel he came home reactive to other dogs. FLPR listened to my concerns and took care of my boy. Their site wasn’t as noisy as the one I had used previously. I would take my dog there again, if the need arises. They also had availability, when many others I checked did not.

We recently moved to the area and hadn't used a kennel for our dogs. We needed a reservation last minute due to unexpected travel, and FLPR was able to accommodate our two dogs. One dog is very anxious and needs a few things not offered by every kennel, such as co-boarding both dogs in the same room and a kennel with walls and other privacy options so that our anxious dog doesn't freak out about seeing other dogs. FLPR had a "VIP" room option available for us, giving our two big dogs plenty of room and high solid walls on three sides. They even placed a sheet over the transparent front door of the room to help keep our girl as calm as possible. She won't ever really ENJOY staying at a kennel, but when we picked up the dogs we could tell she'd done fine there and did as well as we could reasonably expect. Our other dog, who is not anxious at all, clearly had fun and made friends with the FLPR staff. Will definitely use FLPR for future dog boarding!
