First (and second) visit today! Great place, love their selection of houseplants. Went back a second time in one day because I opted for a houseplant instead of roses for Valentines Day-something that will live on past a few days! Love all their pet supplies, pets, birds, mammals, fish and reptiles, bird feeding and gardening supplies. So glad it’s close to home.

Animals cages were filthy, I asked and they said they were already cleaned for the day, food bowls flipped over, water bottles had foggy murky water in them, no chew toys whatsoever, wrong bedding, it's honestly disgusting. I was very polite and asked a manager about this, and she had no clue what the heck she was talking about. Do not support this company and buy elsewhere, there are plenty of other companies in the area.

The Fairpirt location has a great self washes! The tubs are large enough for my golden/catahula mixto get a great scrub and no bending for me. Only complaint is that the blow-dryers dry barely anything; cold air & no pressure. I ended up leaving and drying him at home. Next time I will just bring my own dryer. They provide alot: aprons, towels (brought my own though), and a verity of brushes. They supply shampoo and conditioner as well. Staff was super courteous and let me stay till close with no complaint. They also keep the room super clean!For people with difficult dogs, this wash room is in the back and away from most store traffic. There is a window so only dogs that pass directly in front of the room can be seen.

We came into the store to buy two gerbils for my son. We visited a couple times to scope them out and spoke with Emma both times. She was SO sweet and SO helpful. My son had lots of questions and she was really knowledgeable about gerbil care. I really appreciate her help and patience - it made for a special day for my kiddo!

Good store except the men's rest room is always a horror show. I use to do alot of traveling for my job and for a retail establishment it's one of the worst I've seen .

Very nice store...always like to plant shop there. Staff has always been nice and this young woman no exception. The young man who helped me find scented geraniums was also nice. If staff was more knowledgeable with current sales/specials for customer planning and buying decisions- knowing before reaching register would be very helpful. I might have bought more. I haven't spent much time in pet department but it looks like a great place to meet your future family member and get all his/her food and toys too!

This is a great store for a variety of needs. I bought my pond plants there this year for the first time and they were fantastic— I had so many flowers on my water hyacinths. Beautiful. There isn’t too many places to buy pond and fish supplies around north of canal on east side and they have a great assortment. They also have great selection of bird foods and suet and feeders and houses. Nice people too.

I went to Country Max in Fairport to try and find a food for my dog with a sensitive stomach. I was helped by Jordan the Manager. He was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and just an overall nice guy. He spent at least 45 min- 1hr with me explaining all the different foods, and how they would help or not help my pup. He led me in the right direction, and even special ordered the food for me. I received the food within a week! Thank you Jordan for the great service, and for sharing some of your knowledge with me. I know who I am going to go to with any questions about dog food. Keep up the great work.

I had a slight issue when stopping into the store and it was addressed in timely manner. The company did reach out and rectified the problem. I was very impressed. Have shopped here for years and will continue to shop as well as recommend Countrymax.

Awesome operation at this store. The staff has always been very friendly and prompt to help with whatever I need. Wide range of items in the store and tons of mulch, plants and pet supplies. The propane refill price can’t be beat anywhere else. This is my go-to rather than the big box stores now.

Great prices, some items like my dog food are even cheaper in the store, compared to the countrymax website. It is also very handy how they call out and basically load everything for you, unlike other stores where you have to request if you want assistance, only to have one non capable employee come to help. Finally, I have been buying all sorts of items from Fairport CountryMax for years now and have never had a bad bag of grain, shavings or any feed. In the rare chance I hear of others receiving one, the store immediately makes the situation right.

CountryMax has an extensive and amazing selection of items to care for many kinds of animals - from horses to goldfish, from parakeets to geese, wild birds, and of course cats and dogs. Human care givers can get support products like boots and jackets. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. I enjoy shopping there.

Good place to go for pet supplies, garden supplies, yard and garden. They have also been the go to location for cedar and Cypress mulch. They also have a good selection of clothing, and chore boots. Selection of lawn and garden tools is good and the tool quality has been very good

I love Country Max. Whenever I need something for my yard, pond, dog or fish, it's a one stop shop. Everyone is knowledgeable and super friendly. With the cold weather we get, they were able to solve a pond freezing issue I have had for years. Last year they suggested an live stock water trough heater to keep it from freezing over & keeping my fish alive. No more bubbler issues and cracking ice in the middle of the winter. It worked perfect, just put it in again! Thank goodness they have so much pet & livestock supplies. Can't imagine where else to get everything you need like that.

I purchased a guinea pig form this location and after a day I realize it was scratching itself.I took it to the vet and was took it had ring worm and mites and there’s a good chance it might of passed it on to my other two guinea pig. After paying the vet bill I inform the store manager and all they could do is take back the one we purchased form them only because it was within the 5day return policy. So now I have a vet bill for a guinea pig I no longer own and to add I have two other guinea pig I have to take in. It’s very frustrated we people and business do not take ownership. I trusted them in checking their animals

All kinds of outdoors home goods, flowers, and supplies, and a very good selection of pet supplies, as well as a do it yourself pet wash. Your pet is welcome inside . The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They also have a propane tank exchange

Cool place and I've been there a bunch of times. However when I called today the gentlemen on the phone didn't know if they had what I was looking for....so he suggested I drive down and ask one of the cashiers. What the what? I asked him if he was joking and he said no. Ahhh no thanks.

Some times the service is ok. The problem I have is the moldy hay and grain full of bugs that I have purchased over the years. When giving some healthy criticism to the "manager" he gets mad and walks away. Such a shame. At least Farmington has it together!

Bought fish from Fairport store that spread disease to our established aquarium we had for years. All fish are dead. And zero compensation from company because of their ridiculous policy. Took over a month for a response to my inquiries. You will never see another dime of my money.

They are always very friendly and helpful as soon as you walk in. Also, the store itself is very clean and well kept and the animals are equally as cared for. The prices are low and the quality is high; can't beat that!

I alway like this place for all my my gardening and pet needs. I did notice the the store personnel need to at least unblock some of the aisles so customers can actually shop.
