The grilled cheese and pot roast were excellent. However, the star of the show was the jar of homemade pickles on the table! So good! We immediately made plans to eat there again, but alas, they are closed Mon and Tues. Super happy with the experience, would eat there again.Vegetarian options: Grilled cheese, beyond burger, sides including eggplant fries

Food is delicious. Deserts should win awards. Atmosphere unique, cozy and view is wonderful. One of our favorite places to eat. Waitress Mary M was alone and taking care of about 30 people at once and did not miss a beat. Service was awesome. We ate a great dinner and ordered a second dinner to take home for another day.It's obvious from the taste and freshness this is all "home made" style food. Even the whipped cream served with the apple pie was home made from egg whites - tastes it immediately as it was like my grandmas. The restaurant is almost an hour drive for us one way but worth every minute. Beautiful ride, lakeside and passing farmers markets alone the way. Blue Canoe is awesome. Kudos to Mary M who does the work of 4 waitresses all at the same time.

Took my Wife there for her Birthday 🎂 along with Family. There were 15 of us in all but you would think there was only two based on how fast the service was. Service was Above Excellent Lisa did a fantastic job! The Food was High Quality and Tasted Amazing! I had the Pot roast and it was Incredibly Delicious! Everyone was Happy, Satisfied, and full. I Wish I could give them more than 5 Stars! Highly Recommended!!!

The family went to the Blue Canoe Grill for Easter Dinner. This was my first time here, but a regular spot for the rest of the family. We were immediately seated and drinks delivered right away. Ordered several appetizers off the special board as well as the French Onion Soup which were all fantastic. For dinner I ordered the Easter Ham Dinner with scalloped potatoes and green beans. Everything was great and we will be coming back I’m sure.

Brought our great niece there for a late lunch. We used to go there when it was Rosie's. We love that the place is rustic and not a lot has changed. We all had fish dinners which were totally awesome! Fries are twisted crispy goodness! Fish was perfectly cooked. Light, not greasy and super hot. Slaw was fresh and crispy! It wasn't busy as it was 2pm. The price was a bit higher for the fish dinner than I am used to, $17. The quality of the food was top noch. Waitress was very nice.

What a diamond in the rough. The Blue Canoe is a super amazing restaurant with tons of character. It's located on Tuscarora Lake and it has a great view from anywhere you sit. The wait staff was very polite and quick with our orders. You definitely need to try their Chicken Riggies. They were amazing! Jess said the Chicken Parm was as well. We will definitely be going back, only with some friends and family next time.

Had a wonderful Mother's day, service was excellent (Lily).Food was fantastic, salads served on chilled plates, which I personally love. Highly recommend this cozy spot.Also beautiful artwork on walls.

Great place with great food. Beautiful views on the lake. Update!! This place is amazing! I'm up from Georgia and wanted a fish dinner and lemme tell you what that was the best fish I've ever had! Service was great and food was perfect! The atmosphere is always good with the lake right there. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for the great food.

Called ahead of time to make reservations because when we tried to come last year they wouldn't even allow us to wait because they couldn't guarantee us a seat time. This year we were told there are no reservations during the summer but that we should have no problem on a Sunday if we get there by 5:00 getting seated. We arrived about 5:30. It was just two of us. We were asked if we cared to sit inside or out and we said it didn't matter. We ended up in a very far corner where we couldn't see anything except the servers coming and going in and out of the kitchen area and where they seem to be picking up extra cups, napkins, silverware and so on. Halfway through the meal I noticed that there was a ton of front outdoor seating that we could have been offered. When listening to the next table placing their orders we seem to notice that they were out of almost everything. We ended up going with a simple burger with blue cheese, bacon and sauteed onions with a side of regular fries. My husband got two orders of clams and one blue moon and I didn't ask for anything else and ordered water. The clams were extremely small and not very good. The burgers had way too many sauteed onions that seemed to be hurried instead of having a nice buttery glazed onion flavor and once we got the bill I saw that the fries were not even included with your meal. It was literally $8 for a handful of regular fries each. We were so excited to come here celebrating our anniversary knowing that for years we had heard so many great reviews and unfortunately were terribly disappointed. With appropriate tip our meal was just over $100. To me I'm sorry but that's a little crazy for bar style food even with inflation. It possibly would have been a little better experience if we had been seated someplace nicer.

Wife had French Dip and i had a Haddock sandwich and the best slaw i have had in forever. Fish had a nice crunch and flakey meat and the French Dip was hot and delicious. Beautiful setting next to the water..oh and the carrot cake was yummy. Definitely going back. Christian was a great server and bartender. Very friendly and attentive. 5⭐ for our anniversaryParking: Handicap parking available.

Solid choice for a place to get a bite or drink. They are as accommodating as possible to guests from what I can see. They have a nice little lawn area right on the lake to wait for a table. Food was all very good, but just not quite "next level". The croutons on the salad were a refreshing surprise though. They always seem busy, and rightfully so.

Great food and atmosphere! This was a surprising stop to our day after visiting Highland Forest. It's comfortable and unassuming but exactly what we all need in our lives.
