We had to wait a bit in the patient room, but everyone was kind and my cat was actually very comfortable to be there!

I adopted my 2 cats from Dickin and they are also the vet for my guys. I feel they get excellent care at Dickin, I've had no problem making appointments and find all the staff pleasant

Are others having a hard time getting their pets seen? My daughter had to take her cat to Cornell for an emergency visit. She is an established at Dickin for all 3 of her pets and recently had her cats there for check ups. When she called to make a follow up appointment to get cat seen the receptionist said the soonest appt was 3 weeks out!! So if your animal is sick they make you wait 3 weeks?? I take my cats there but now I’m very concerned that if one needs care they won’t be able to be seen. I find this unacceptable.

The best veterinarian in Binghamton! Doctors are all trained in Cornell University. Staff is warm, caring and knowledable. I am very impressed with the level of care, knowledge, sensitivity to maintaining reasonable prices without jeopardizing the quality of care.

I cannot say enough good about this vet office! The staff is amazing and knows my dogs by name. The fact that they have on call emergency care is also very convenient. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Z. And Rhonda were so kind to Mina during our appointment. Their care and concern were so evident - it was heartwarming. Thank you for all you do!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. B. and her staff. I first started going to DMAH with my previous senior rescue and they took good care of him. Dr. B was so compassionate and patient with him because he was terrified of the vet and of being picked up and appeared aggressive due to fear. They also have provided excellent care to our last diabetic and blind rescue, too. Both have since passed and we take our current rescue dog there still for regular check-ups. Dr. B and her staff truly care about you and your animal and try to make such a difficult and unpleasant experience, like putting them to rest, as easy and comforting as can possibly be. DMAH also provides hospital services like x-rays, bloodwork, surgeries. I absolutely love Dr. B, Dr. Z, and all the assistants, vet techs, and office staff, and can't put into any more words how great they are. Best animal hospital in the area!! They are truly there for the care and not just for $ like some vet offices are.

I have never been to a Veterinarian who was more caring and loving to my puppies. We have two Olde English Pocket Beagles and both have gone there since birth. I don't think my babies could get better care anywhere. Sammi and Cassi say thank you for all you have done for them. Jeff

*** update***I am updating this review from one to four stars. This is because Dicken Memorial saw this review and took the time to speak with us on our experience and let us know the changes they are making as a result of the feedback given. Also, I can’t discount all the other (many) years where the staff at Dicken Memorial have been absolutely wonderful to our pets and to us. Thank you for all the good years!*******************************************My family and I have been taking our dogs here for 16 years. We had to make the hard decision to put our ailing dog to sleep. Before they administered anything the Dr asked us if we would like to rehome him and that there were “plenty of people who would want him”. To get to the point where you have to make the decision to bring your dog in to the vet for the very last time is excruciating, to have a vet who knew little about his medical history (he saw another great vet at the hospital) make comments like she did is inappropriate and was the last straw. I will never bring my animals back to this clinic and I highly recommend you find a different clinic if you can’t get in to see the other vet.If Dicken Memorial sees this review - I hope you implement a policy to better train some of your staff so another family isn’t put in a situation where they are made to feel like they are murdering their elderly, sick pets. It’s disgusting and unprofessional.

Dr B was amazing with my dog Prince. He was diagnosed young with hip dysplasia.. Nope, she took one look and said.". no.. I think thyroid." Thyroid it was... Now 12 years later.. And battling cancer in 2011..He is still kicking... He only goes to Dr B and her staff.

I was not able to get an appointment for my ailing cat for three weeks after my first attempt. I was told if she couldn’t wait that long, to take her to Cornell. I was also told that my name would be on a cancellation list only to find out after two weeks that my name was never on the list. I called Day Hollow Animal Hospital and my cat was seen in two hours. She was diagnosed with an injured back, was given meds, and I was given instructions how to care for her. She’s now well and back to her old self but not because of Dickens. Very disappointed.

I would give zero stars if I could. Service at Dickin MAH has been steadily declining since they moved into their expansive (and, no doubt, expensive) quarters in Endwell after their smaller office near Wegman's. On one visit --routine and annual shots-- they had my dog and me waiting in a room for nearly an hour--forgotten. They have lost the Vet we had been seeing and last two times an older, p/t vet saw my dog--very perfunctory exam and then she took him away to draw blood and he was howling in agony for 15 minutes heard throughout the clinic so I rushed around in the back to try to find him-- they apparently had trouble drawing blood (seems pretty basic) and he was traumatized for days after. Now, it looks like they are down to only 1 vet.Today, I called for an appointment-- my dog has a strange red, bloody welt--not caused by injury on his front leg. Was told by receptionist earliest appointment was in over 2 weeks. When I pleaded that it looked really serious-- they told me to send a picture-- but I said that it would be difficult because of where it was and his very thick hair-- so they hung up on me!Looking for a new vet.

The facility was immaculately clean and they were able to get my Rottie out of my jeep on a gurney quickly and seen. The only complaint I have is that she was in the back with vet techs while we were in a small consultation room when she passed. I hate that we weren't with her when she got an IV and her heart gave out. 💔

I cannot begin to express how thankful I am to DMAH. We just recently had to put my 19 year old cat down. I was terrified and emotional. The entire process was very respectful and the private room was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for better staff and vets to take care of my cat in her final moments. Then the morning I brought my baby's ashes home I get home to a card HAND signed by the staff. Not just people's signatures they each wrote a message for us about their condolences. I bawled my eyes out. The amount of compassion in that office is amazing. When I went to pick up her ashes the lady at the front desk was so sweet and expressed her condolences as a sobbed again. Noone made me feel silly or uncomfortable at any point for being a blubbering mess. Thank you DMAH... you'll never know how truly grateful my family and I are to you.

This is a great vet practice-- I've used them for everything from routine shots to diagnosing and managing chronic health conditions to emergencies. (Primarily dogs but also one cat.) Dr. B is thoughtful, does a thorough physical exam, and knows her patients very well. They do a nice job of staying on top of current developments but also knowing the tried and true options for care. The staff are kind and compassionate, which always makes for a good experience. I will go to this practice as long as I live here!

I can not stress enough how much I love this place! We transferred from endless mt care during the middle of the lockdown mostly because they were recommended and endless couldn’t get us in (even though we had brought our dogs there for years ! Dickin got us in and gave extraordinary care even during such trying times. Since then the care has been prompt and amazing , especially recently we had two unrelated emergencies with our dogs within a couple of weeks apart from each other. They were able to get them both in, after talking on the phone and sending pictures back and forth and handled them so amazing and fixed the problems without further questions or procedures that they did not need as well as AFFORDABLE! We didn’t have to take out a second mortgage ! They care about the animals and not just the money !If you can get in with them, (I don’t know if they accept new patients currently) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This has been our Vet since moving to Binghamton 4 years ago. The Doctors and staff truly love what they do and the many animals for whom they care. On-site they have a professional groomer, a boarding kennel, and a specialty gift store for any animal lover. The agency also makes an effort to promote and support local animal related nonprofits. The agency takes cash, credit, and electronic payments which makes everything so much easier when your hands are full of excited fur-baby.

I just got two more puppies. The first thing I did was have them recheck for worms even though they were already done from the seller .Dicken rechecked and it was good. That’s how much I trust this vet. They always help me out. And I mean ever time I need help. They all know me because I drive they nuts lol kidding. They care and they do a great job. I wish you would consider using this vet. They have everything. I love them.

Honestly they are amazing. First of all the place is beautiful and homey. The staff is so amazing. My hedgie was very sick and I called late at night and they were able to answer and talk me through it. Then the next day they were seriously so busy and backed up on appointments bc a doctor was sick but they scheduled an appointment with us right away. Even the assistant vet was so helpful and knowledgeable. They genuinely care about your animals. Price is also great most places are cash hogs but this place cares about people and their pets. So happy I went here instead of another vet. ALSO if you have exotic animals they take all animals here which is hard to find!

This amazing place is the best Animal hospital ever. If you have not found out nothing about your pet I simply say that this is me lucky place to go. They find out what is wrong with the pets right on the nose.Very warm place to be to get your pet to feel safe and wonderful amazing doctors to see you can feel the love when you go there. My amazing beautiful dream home for my adorable baby. You must check it out and you will see that there's Nothing else better than Dickins Animal hospital. I truly love it there.Thank you for saving my baby girl.

In need of a new veterinarian office or just not happy with your current one? I was in both categories. I was driving almost 2 hours to Cornell for vet care as no one in the area would take an ER case! Now I am closer to care and the staff is beyond amazing! The doctors go above and beyond to make sure you understand the situation, diagnosis, the care plan, and they follow up. They are always available for questions or guidance. The staff made all of my animal's immediately at ease and did what they had to without causing additional stress. Clean, newly renovated building. One side is the veterinarian office and the other side is the animal hotel. They offer boarding and grooming services all in the same location. Well worth a visit with your furbabies.

Highly recommend! We started go to Dr B with our first dog when I was little when she worked at a small office in Owego and we followed her when she opened her own vet office in Johnson city! Now her office in endicott is beautiful! My entire family uses her as our vet as well as my husband and i take our dog to her too! Everyone who works there truly cares about your pets like their own!

I am really disappointed in this hospital. I have two puppies and they have had their all exams and vaccinations at this hospital. I am a new parents, so I am not familiar with how to keep a puppy. At first, I asked them when did I need to do flea and sticks preventions for my puppies. They told me I needed to wait until they weigh up to 18 pounds. By the third visit, they changed vet and told me I need to do flea and stick preventions, even though my puppy wasn’t 18 pounds at that time. I felt very confuse. Even more disappointing is that I paid 17 dollars to cut puppy’s nail at this hospital. His nail was bleeding after we went home and this hospital told me it was not their goal and they were not on purpose. Their answer is so interesting!! They are so unprofessional!!! I will never go back again!!!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. We began with Dickin when our dog was a puppy ten years ago. It was a small office with just Dr. Beaulieu and we received outstanding service - she was kind, compassionate and professional. The office was small enough to do everything right - including handling their own emergencies (a HUGE plus to anyone who’s ever needed a vet after hours). When you called the office, they all knew you and you knew them.A few years ago, Dr. B decided to expand and create a huge pet hospital/hotel in Endicott and that’s when her perfect business model went down hill. It began with massive staff increases - faces you’d never seen before and they changed all the time... phone trees instead of a person answering the phone... appointments made 5 to 6 weeks out (unless you want to pay the emergency fee and they’ll squeeze you in during business hours only)...waiting areas and rooms clearly not cleaned often enough... dog waste left on the edges of the parking lot...phone calls not returned... THIS IS THE NORM NOW. Although we weren’t comfortable with this, we stayed because of one vet there - Dr. Karaline Tripp. An amazing vet who really cared, but has since moved on to Ithaca. We gave Dickin another chance, and boy am I sorry we did.Yesterday, after two office visits and numerous unanswered phone calls and emails concerning an ongoing issue with my dog, I finally emailed her to ask what she advised we do next. I respectfully outlined my frustrations with the lack of communication and simply asked if she could call me at home, since I’ve already taken the dog there twice and had to sit in my car and wait for my two minutes on the phone with her. What I received back was an astounding disrespectful, unprofessional, highly emotional, sarcastic email. No apology for not communicating with me, no rational attempt to help with a medical situation - just over-the-top meanness. She told me to “go sit in someone else’s parking lot” and “find another vet”. Then she emailed me my dog’s records. I guess there is a reason they call her Dr. B. She’s apparently gotten far too important to actually care about her clients - or maybe it’s just the almighty dollar she cares about?

one of the worst experiences i’ve had at a vet hospital. my boss had called the day before letting them know if an emergency was to happen with a clients dog that i was to bring her in and was given permission to bring her in. fast forward, i bring her in and the front desk lady was less than helpful. the owners name was on the cats kennel and she couldn’t even come over to look at her kennel as i’m holding the cat, my purse, and personal items trying to balance everything which i found a little rude and inconsiderate. then, she couldn’t even find the name in her computer even though the owner AND boss told me she’s been there. i didn’t know too much information as it wasn’t my dog so it was a little difficult to help. i finally was able to go to a room and the front desk lady didn’t help me at all as i was going to the room. she didn’t hold the door, or help gather anything which was also a little rude. the vet and vet assistant was AMAZING and very helpful. they made sure the cat got the help she needed without making her wait since she was in bad shape. as i was leaving i caught the front desk lady giving me a death glare and didn’t even say bye or anything. for an emergency situation i don’t think it was handled well or properly.

They helped us through a terrible time when our German Shepherd had to be euthanized. Took very good care of her and me. They are very caring and pleasant. The whole place is quiet, peaceful and clean

I’ve been bringing my Labrador and fuzzy cat to Dr Tripp for 4 years now. Hands down, the most empathetic, knowledgeable, non-price gouging veterinarian I’ve ever had. My dog has had 2 TPLO repairs and a number of other issues and the service has been nothing shy of stellar. Dr Tripp always takes the time to explain, offer options, and is accessible should anything come up. I see she has left the practice?!? Where to?! She will be sorely missed!
