Awesome store always love coming here. Awesome place to bring someone. So many animals to look at. They have birds, fresh and saltwater fish, bunnies, chinchillas, hamsters, ferrets, ginni pigs, mice, shrimp, and even living coral decor for your fish tanks. Many supplies for you to stock up on while you’re there. They have decor for birds, fish and reptiles. They sell feed, water treatment and other kits, filters, and so much more. Helpful staff and they get back to you on Facebook messenger with any questions you may have. Only recommend thing people NEED to know is about their macaw pet bird in the store. She does a cool trick of saying hello and bye bye when you enter and exit the store, but please try NOT to pet her. She seemed friendly like she wants pets, but trust me she will rip your flesh off your fingers and make you bleed. Meant for looking not touching I guess haha. Seen it done to a staff member and was done to myself. Very friendly store cat and dogs. There’s a blind small dog that sometimes tries making a break for it out of the store door that’s open, if you see her escape, she’ll let you pick her up and place her next to the register desk. She won’t sprint off and run either she’s very gentle dog.

The best pet shop/home for animals within 200 miles! Very helpful and personable people there to answer any questions and give you good advice on any animal situations you may have. I absolutely love it, and I have come here myself and my family many times over the years for new pets and all animal needs! We all love absolutely love it here!

Absolutely love this place I ended up falling in love with a sun conor so I bought it and the bird is beyond sweet plus they help me pick out a cage and food and toys they make sure the place is clean and animals are taken care of plus the employees are knowledgeable about the animals and how to take of them so they can answer any questions you have

Staff is always nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable when it comes to questions. Small little pet store with mostly live fish, birds and reptiles. Prices are a bit on the high side, but with the customer service it's worth it.

The shop is very nice. A lot of animals that are taken very good care of. Lots of supplies for great prices. However I have some major complaints. I drove there with my two children yesterday who were excited to explore. The parrot was excellent at the front of the store and kept waving and squawking at us. Good thing I read that it does bite sometimes though because I almost let it get on my arm as I love birds and am experienced with them . I do wish it stated the name of the bird and how old it was and the gender though. Or a list of what it can say if it does talk? I wish the young kids working were more personal and spoke or acknowledged me and my children or anyone who walked in . We then spent a lot of time looking at fish trying to decide which ones to get and trying to find what we wanted and could have for our tank size and conditions as nothing avout fish keeping is simple. A guy was attending to the fish and asked if we needed anything . I said I wanted a 20 gallon heater the cheapest and I needed help getting fish. He said he'd put one up at the cash register. A ton of people were checking out so we waited in line for a long time. My kids were getting impatient and ready to leave so I was hoping I'd get some assistance as all the fish are kind of mixed together and not everyone is labeled with the price or correctly. The African dwarf frogs are just thrown in random tanks from what I could find and only found 3 white ones. We wanted a brown spotted one. Also wanted some shrimp but had a hard time finding rhem . I finally get to the register and there's no heater there. I ask for help with fish from the young girl she says what ones do you want I explained either mollies or fancy guppies and some shrimp or frogs but I'm having a hard time finding rhem or a frog as they are all mixed in and not all are labeled and have a price. Also wanted help with gender. At this point she had no other customers! The fish guy disappeared. She then says mollies are on this wall and guppies are down there. When you figure it out let me know and walks away. I then spent more time trying to figure it out as if I worked there. I then go to the register and she's no where to be found . I walk around and no workers are anywhere to be found . So we left empty handed. I've never experienced this while getting fish and I've been getting fish for 5 years from multiple different places. It was my first time here and I do not even want o go back to get fish as it's a Hassel. I then went to petco and spent $70. Customer service can make or break you .

I go here often and usually it's a good visit. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about most things you could ask. The prices get a little higher on things then what you would pay for an alternative at a chain store like petco but it's worth it with the friendlier staff and they have a better variety of pets as well. I have only two real complaints with the store and that is when you are getting in line for checking out the staff is usually elsewhere so there's a bit of a wait on that. Also I have had one rat I bought die from them due to a congenital issue.

I visit Sondra's City Zoo for the fish department. Nice selection with a very nice staff who will answer your questions. I live in the Binghamton area but make the drive because of the wonderful staff.

I got a baby cockatiel from this place and it is the sweetest, friendliest little bug!! I know they hand raise them and you can tell they spent a ton of time with her. You can do anything with her and she's curious and unafraid. She's amazing. Great work guys!!!❤️

Great pet store. The workers are very nice. They have some great stuff for small animals. I was able to find everything I needed for my guinea pigs. I love looking at the fish, the birds, and the ferrets.

Sondra and her staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly! I have been shopping there for years. If they don't have what I'm looking for, Sondra will pull out her books and will get it ordered for me. I own everything from your typical dog and cat, to my avian friend, a blue and gold macaw. For reptiles I own multiple, multiple different morphs of bearded dragons :) . We also have a ball python named Pretzel. (Let's not forget her live food tank full of large hoppers aka mice). We have a Pet rat (she was originally supposed to be used as a meal for the ball python, but she, as it seems is very picky and refuses to eat her. We fell in love with her lol. The rest is history.)When i remember to let the store know ahead of time, they order in extra crickets by the thousands because my beardies go through about 2000 crickets a week when im not substituting other insects. City zoo supplies live feeder mice and rats where places like petco and petsmart do not. They do offer the frozen as well, but the live feeders are a major plus!!! Prices at city zoo are very affordable as well. They dont have crazy markups like other places. Im a die hard City Zoo shopper for life! <3 Especially during breeding season ;);)

I board my bird with them when I travel. No hassle check in and pick up. Always at ease knowing my Cookie is taken care of. Highly recommend.

I would give this place ZERO stars if i could. first i buy a red footed tortoise from them and it dies of a respiratory infection that it had prior to buying it. Then i buy a hamster from them and it dies DAYS after getting it from wet tail. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. IF YOU CAN’T KEEP YOUR ANIMALS HEALTHY OR TREAT THEM WHEN SICK YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS SELLING OR OWNING THEM.

me and the mrs wanted to check out The Zoo for the birds at first, once we got there we heard the feathered ones and noticed all of the other cool stuff like fish and reptiles and pet stuff.We really liked their selection of birds and how friendly the birds are.Better than some box stores.

Good amount of pet supplies, especially if you have an exotic like a chinchilla. I've bought a pet rat and salt water fish here. That rat was super friendly and my fish were always healthy.
