This was my first visit to the Aldi's on W. Hudson St in Elmira.Although the layout was different from the one I usually shop in the items were similar and nicely displayed. Overall, the store was clean but on the shabby side.The parking lot needs to be maintained, I spotted lots of trash and spilled food in it. Lots of potholes and uneven paving.The cart area had several carts jammed together so they couldn't be separated and used. I only got a cart from a nice man by following him to his car as he removed his groceries. I don't like stalking someone for their cart and I don't think that should be part of the "Aldi's shopping experience"!The one checkout clerk was very nice, clean and friendly who did her job very well and efficiently...4 stars for her.If there is another Aldi's in the Southport-Wellsburg area, I would use it instead of returning to this shabby one.

Some cashiers are really disrespectful to men, she will slam your groceries into the cart and not even try to put them in a box.

I usually live Aldi, but this one was a disappointment. The store was dirty and disorganized, only had one register open and had no options for self checkout. It was also poorly stocked and didn’t offer many options for meal planning. It’s worth the drive to find another store.

Clean store with prices lower than most grocery stores. Although, groceries have drastically risen across the board. I feel like I'm getting robbed at"register point" with no hope of justice(lower prices or increased pay).

Me and my hubby was shopping at aldies a week ago there are a few food items that were already open hope people that work there are keeping an eye on open stuff so we have got our food up to the cashier and my hubby was unloading the cart the lady manager said that was a work out to him and that he will probably be the one unloading the bags at home and putting the food away and how professional is that for her to say that to a customer that shops there every month and soends alit of money in this store i will shop some where else coming from her

Some low prices, some no different than Wal-Mart. Items are there today, gone tomorrow but always something new. Not many name-brands if that's what you're into. I recommend added Aldi's as a stop before heading to your regular grocery store.

Decent store for stocking up on items. Mainly carries most purchased brands of groceries. REALLY great seasonal and clearance isles! Ect. Make sure to take a quarter with you to get your cart and get your quarter back from another cart when you leave. Oh yeah, you have to bag your own groceries, but no big deal right. Lol

Some of their selections may not be as vast as the bigger stores, witch is kinda nice because I'm not spending extra money on just the eye catchers, and with the deals it's definitely in my budget range , and I have to say the quality of the produce is better no where else than right here, and I'm in and out even on a gotta get everything day, in under 20 minutes. To me that's a plus..

My favorite grocery store. They mostly carry non big box store brand foods, however I find they taste the same, some items are even better.Price comparison they THEY BEAT OUT the competition.Honestly though with the current economy even their prices have went up, however I love their wide selection, Gluten Free items offered too.Aisle of Shame (AOS) IS A MUST TO CHECK OUT!!!

5 stars for Aldi, and will continue to shop there from time to time, BUT the reason for the one star....I bought a pork roast Friday, and prepped it on the same day to roast the next. It did Not have a fresh smell to it, but thought after seasoning, roasting etc it should be alright. Won't make that mistake again. Thinking that the turnover sale for pork roasts are not fast enough or the temperature is not cold enough because the package stated use or freeze by 06/19, and I bought it on 06/10. Will not buy a pork roast there ever again, at least not at that location.

Great prices. All the fundamental items but not a very big selection. And they NEVER seem to have enough registers open, but the location is convenient and it's the best buy in town for you main staple items such as salad, pizza,milk,eggs,bread, condiments, bustello coffee only though... I've had all the other disgusting! They don't even carry Maxwell house.

Alots of very good products from all over the world 🌎, if you know them⁉️, the prices are great ,just the meats department, is a little more expensive ❗️ The service is horrible and the charges of the stroller is so stupid ,in particular during COVID 😡 , But bring back the stroller and get back your quarter ,❣️is a great Europeans 🇪🇺 idea ,not a very easy method for spoiling American 😀.

Really good place to stop for veggies and dairy items on the way to our camper. Love the prices and the selection is good. I have been disappointed in the baked goods and breads but lunch meats and cheeses are also a terrific buy.

Great store here in Elmira! Reminds me of our "Grocery Outlets" we have in the Bay Area in California!! I bought a head of lettuce there for $1.69... perfect! 2 days later needed lettuce for tacos, Aldi was already closed had to go to another market. $2.99 later for a smaller head that we threw out because of rust inside. Ya'll are what neighborhoods need!

I have been to this store many times, sometimes selection is bit low but I know things change alot. I have never had a rude employee or even ignored if I had question. Place is always pretty clean & easily able to move around & find things. My only complaint is during this covid they really need to watch customers more, I find several with no masks or pulled down so low they are useless. Store is to small place to not enforce this bit better.

I was very surprised they were cheaper than save a lot & I was really disappointed that I had gone to save a lot first because I found way better deals with better quality product. Definitely will be going there more

Pleasantly surprised!! Other Aldi locations I have been to are definitely not this nice. The aisles are nice and big and the selection is great. Everything is organized. Perfect for shopping on a budget. I was even super happy when I saw they had some organization and home decor items!

There is manager here that is very rude. Follows individuals around telling them to not the displays in the aisles with the mobilized carts. This used to be a P&C. The aisles need upgrading. The store is tight. Your staff is friendly but not the bakery personal (where are they). The deli is okay but not very friendly. Your prices are steep.

Not the same as Aldi in Germany but very nice and affordable store to visit. Times are hard and its showing on the shelves, but the products and the prices are worth waiting for. Due to new law it's gun free zone shop at your own risk.

My "used to be" favorite place to shop. As of my visit today I am very disappointed. Recently (weekly) they have no stock. Today no bread. Last week no milk. Previously no creamer. Many empty shelves and poor quality produce. One must make several trip to the store to get what one of needs. 3 stars for courteous and pleasant employees.
