Just went with a party of 3 adults and 4 children and it was great! Lovely staff! DELICIOUS food !! I got the Lenny and WOW sooo good ! Their fries so fresh and crispy !! The coffee strong and just what I needed as a mom haha. Defiantly will be the place to get breakfast or lunch very often! Hidden Gem !Kid-friendliness: We had a 4 children with us 8 being oldest to an almost 2 year old and it was super calm for them to be there. There was about 3 other tables with kids as well and they accommodate everyone so well ! Great options for them to eat ! Kids cups so cute too great to see a place offers them as they I haven’t seen them in years at restaurants!

We stopped by the deli on our way to visit family and it was so good, we all decided to give the diner a try. I love the care the new owners have put in! The original jukebox is restored, the menu is classic but elevated, the cocktails are delicious and you can leave with a quote or a poem from the cookie jar! Just all around good vibes and tasty food. So glad to have some more food options and support small businesses rather than chains.

Love what they’ve done to make this iconic diner sing - gorgeous terrazzo flooring, big bright windows, well-maintained booths. Eating here is an experience that shouldn’t be missed. The cocktail list is fun, and there is an extensive diner menu. Can’t wait to try the veggie burger next time.

very cool place! Thank you for your kindness and attentiveness! I was expecting the menu to be typical, it was everything but that! A real quality and chef like touch to it. You took some classic comfort food and gave me a nice experience. And I like to eat! Thought it was cool, then I was educated about the history, and wow. Thanks for the pleasure.Kid-friendliness: Yes. Very accommodating. Owners have kids.

I have been going to diners in the northeast all my life and I was so impressed by Elizaville. Absolutely delicious food, friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful space. The chef's attention to quality shines through in the dishes. We ordered the pancakes and hash and both were made from scratch. Coffee was fantastic and I just can't say enough good things. Can't wait to go back!!

Woah this place is an undiscovered gem! Found it by accident searching for a place to grab dinner, never knew it was there! We had cocktails, the tacos and one of the specialty burgers, all really tasty! It's tucked away on a lake away from it all, a perfectly preserved 50's diner on a quiet road. Perfect for date night!Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten free and they were able to accommodate me on everything.

It’s better to eat at home !Or go to a real diner. The management and cook have no idea how to run a restaurant and try to shame dissatisfied customers.Chicken sandwich was burnt not once but twice, it looked like it had been forgotten in the fryer and rediped and fried again to try and cover the scorch. The Bloody Mary was not good and tasted like all the seasonings were left out other than horseradish, think tomato soup with horseradish. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The “chef” and I use that word loosely came out at the end and was hostile and claimed “ I have a new girl back there, I make a great chicken sandwich. Did you cut it in half.” This confused me, due to the fact that the chicken was burnt on both sandwiches Buttermilk breading shouldn’t be black. I hope the new owners take a more active role to address the quality issues.Response to owners reply:My friend didn’t like the sandwich either and never said it was great.he was starving after waiting 45 minutes for food so ate it anyway. The cook didn’t come out to make anything better she was hostile and rude. She made an excuse about a new cook and then claimed she made the best sandwich and then told me to cut it in half like that would unburn the sandwich.Getting snippy and telling people not to come back is a bad business model especially when your food is sub par. You really shouldn’t try and shame people and lie about what other people say especially if you weren’t there. How do o know you weren’t there? Because any real restaurant owner that sees food go back not once but twice would have come over and addressed the issue themselves. The fact that you lie about your customers shows that you don’t have the temperament or skills to run a public facing business.I hope you work out the kinks in your operations .

I'd like to start this review off by saying that we love coming to the elizaville deli (and frequent very much) and were very excited that the diner had re-opened.When we first arrived at the elizaville diner, around noon, it was great to see that the diner was bustling with people enjoying their meals. We waited about 10 minutes as the hostess at the door said she needed some time to clear a table for us. Not a big deal.We get sat, and of course we already knew what we wanted to order, as this was our second time dining at the diner since its re-opening. Ordered the "rise and shine," the new "creme brulee french toast," a soda, and orange juice. There was a considerable delay in receiving our food and drinks, about 50 minutes after ordering. Another table beside us had been seated after us and within minutes had their order and check before we asked our server to check on our food. Our server had explained that there was a mistake on entering our order. Our issue was that there was no awareness on our server that multiple tables were being sat, food eaten, and checking out when your guests who have been seated for more than a natural time has nothing on the table or been checked on in any matter. We appreciated the honesty and kindness our server had and she was very apologetic, but you'd like to think that when you go to a restaurant/diner that you are being taken care of with the best hospitality. The delay and lack of attention were disappointing, and we were very upset about this. Fortunately, it was made up by the good food. As for the food, the order was a little wrong (not the biggest deal, people are human and mistakes happen, we enjoyed it never the less), but again, this still contributed to the overall experience. When you're dining somewhere, regardless of the time or crowd size, it's important to have that awareness, attentiveness, and communication. When we left, it was about 1:30pm and the initial crowd during the lunch rush had all gone. The entire diner had cleared out and we were basically the last to leave, yet the service and attention to our table did not match the changing dynamics of the restaurant.I’m hoping through our feedback that management can contribute to the improvement of their service quality.

Came for breakfast with my wife for the first time since the new owners and had a horrible experience, it started with the music that was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talking, second was my wife asked for a BLT with no tomato and was told she couldn’t order that before 11 am….really?? Toast with bacon and lettuce that is served for breakfast normally???? And last, not once did the waitress come over and ask us if everything was okay or if we needed or wanted anything else!

The blue ribbon is not a measure of appetite, but of character. Inhale some pancakes in view of a geesey lake. It's all good here. I'm surprised they don't get a lot of burglars coming to steal the magic. Hot coffee! Cold water!
